I am back this Saturday with the Crazy 4 Challenges blog post and today the challenge is

HOLIDAYS.  All my favorite holidays are coming up, so why not get a jump on one of them!! Make a card for one of the many holidays coming up, be it Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, or Hanukkah!!

So here is my card for Christmas.  I wanted to play with a Lili of Valley stamp and the Karen Burniston Twist Circle Pop up die.

As well as the Lili of the Valley stamp I used a Hero Arts Holly Leaf and the Elizabeth Crafts

Beaded Circle Frame.

Happy Birthday - Sausage Dog

I made this card for a work colleague who's birthday is tomorrow.

I used the new Anitas Frame Pop up card die and the Woodware Sausage dog stamp.  Along with the Flower Stage it Stencil with white ink around the edge of the orange cardstock.

On the front I decided to use the cute Sausage Dog stamp and it so happened the 

card was only the width of the back end of the sausage dog and its ADORABLE

wooly jumper!

This is the inside and you  can see the amazing pop up die in all its glory

and the head part of this cute dog fits perfectly!  I covered the little

hat with a pretty flower and added a sentiment from Karens stamps.

Again the flower stencil has been used with the white ink.

 I hope you like the card I have shared today.

Karen Burniston August Challenge Part 2 - Girly or Ghouly

Hi Crafting friends
I am back with part 2 of the August Challenge and this one is GIRLY OR GHOULY as chosen by Shelley Hickox.

I went for Ghouly as I wanted to use some of the new Karen Burniston Halloween Release. I do love Halloween and although it is not huge over in the UK like the USA I decorate the front of my house and enjoy giving out sweets to the trick or treaters.

Here is the front of the card and I am showcasing MIDNIGHT THE BAT

and the LABELS AND CIRCLES die sets. 

Oh and see that funky Plaid?  I made that using a couple

of Distress ink pads and Karens new STRIPES/PLAID stencil.

Here is the inside and what a WOW this die set produces.  You would not expect

a card that comes flat inside an envelope could contain something so dimensional

and it really is not hard to made either.  As you hopefully know by now Karen

Burniston always makes the best instructional videos which you can search

for on her BLOG or her YOU TUBE CHANNEL

For the inside I used

and the purple goo dripping from top of pot

Yappy Birthday

After nearly 2 weeks of non crafting whilst I loved my holiday in Spain I missed my crafting but my evenings were instead full of chatting, Uno, Beetle Game, Swimming, fun fairs and food!

But of course I was dying to get back into my shed and create and I wanted to create something just for fun, just creating for creatings sake and no schedule before back to the swing of deadlines and Create and Takes.

So last night I decided I wanted to use the new KAREN BURNISTON TWIST CIRCLE POP UP so that was first decision made,  Second I chose the paper and I found this piece of Kaisercraft Paper and then third I decided to use some old Penny Black dog stamps.  The small ones on the front were purchased 16 years ago!!

So here is my card, love how the TWIST CIRCLE POP UP can animate any stamped or die cut images so any card can be special.

No clue who this card is for, as I said it was made just for fun!

MORE!! Last few

Back again with more cards, 2 more today and 2 tomorrow.

These 2 cards were made using the Stampendous JUNGLE FRIENDS stamp sets

and dies.  I used the IO patterns to stamp the lion to give him a cute pattern.

The Thank you Die is an Xcut die amazing price of just £2.49!!

The Monkey card was decorated with the Karen Burniston  Banana Embossing folder

and Marianne Vine.  The Just for You is again one of the Xcut £2.49 dies :)

Just two more cards tomorrow and then radio silence for a few weeks whilst

we re charge our batteries in the Spanish sunshine!!

Even more .. its a foxy day

I am eking this out aren't I?  Well I figured I cant spoil you all too much with so many cards in one post.

Here I have used a Woodware Stamp (LOVE THIS STAMP) to demonstrate how you can overstamp in a dark colour

to bring back some of the detail once you have coloured.  I love this technique.  Works

very for the "no line colouring" in bringing back some of the detail lost.

The Daisy is from the Stampendous BUILD A BOUQUET die and stamp set.

This once was made using the Stampendous FOREST FRIENDS stamp and die set

ARGH!  Just noticed my second gem has fallen off!! LOL :)

I will be back tomorrow with 2 more cards and I have 2 more to photograph and that will be it :)

Demonstration Cards

Hi Crafters I am back with some more cards from my Demo.

I have to admit, these two cards were more of a struggle for me, you all know I love cute

therefore the subject of these designs made my old brain cells work.  They are very simple, but

then again nice and easy to recreate and despite me feeling nervous how they were they

received several comments that made me feel better :)

The words for both cards are from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Karen Burniston Designer Challenge August Part 1

Hi Crafters

Today I am here with part one for the August challenge, part one being today 8th August chosen by Karen and part 2 being 22nd of August chosen by Shelly.

Today's challenge was :  "Flower or Flour" - Make a card with flowers OR make a card with a baking/cooking theme - you decide!

I decided to go with FLOWER but also have a Baking card that I have not shared before so I will share that as an additional card.

Here is the FLOWER card and I do not think it is any surprise for those of you have have seen Karens new release that a lot of us have grabbed the stamp FLOWER POT POP STAND die as the one we wanted to play with.  This, as you will see from the challenge team cards can be used so many different ways, this group is just sooooo inspirational to me!

I needed to make a card for a friend who was leaving work.  I was very sad about her leaving but wanted to make a happy card to tell her how much she meant to me, rather than a sorry you are leaving time card.

Very simple on the front as most definitely the "WOW" is on the inside.

Opened up, the card opens flat and the most amazing pot pops up and you can fill

this with flowers, leaves and the odd or or two :)

Also on the card I used the Labels and Circles for the panels for the words.

So that was my "Official" challenge card and here is another card that I just happen to have

made but not shared and actually works for this theme and FLOUR.

This one features Baker the Beaver complete with cake and props

from Props set 8.  Looks like Baker has been beavering away in the 

kitchen to wish someone a Happy Birthday!

I will be back with another KB challenge in a couple of weeks.

Crafts U Love 10th Birthday Demo Day

Yesterday we celebrated 10 years with Crafts U Love with a lovely Demonstration day.  Busy, inspirational and fun!  we had amazing demonstrators on hand Charry who was making lovely felt creations using Memory Box Dies, Pete Hughes from Sizzix who made my day by actually saying he knew me!! Like this is Pete from Sizzix!!  and what I lovely guy with the most amazing samples on show.  Heidi my table neighbour was showing off just what you can to with the WRMK Alphabet Punch Board.  Jo was making wonderful boxes like only Jo can, Sue Dix creator of Sweet Dixie dies and myself outside in the Gazebos and then there was Karen making the most beautiful stamped cards combining the minc machine and Suzie from Cricut showing off that amazing machine.  There will be many pictures coming on the Crafts U Love blog so be sure to check that out. HERE

I was demonstrating the Stampendous Stamps and Dies and over the new few days I will be sharing these with you.  

Here I have used the Stampendous JUNGLE FRIENDS rubber stamps and dies

I love how close these dies and stamps are and using the Misti for lining up the stamping

on the dies was a lifesaver.

Crazy 4 Challenges - Sports

This month is is Jessie hosting the month and she starts of with a very topical challenge theme.

My first challenge is an OLYMPICS challenge!! This year the Summer Olympics are in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil...and other than really making me want to go on vacation, it always makes me feel a little patriotic, I don't know about you?!! Oh, and I ADORE the logo for this years events!!

Here is my card for the challenge, I have used the Hanging Charm Pull card, Sports Charms NEW from Karen Burniston and Jinks the Monkey.

Football a big hit with someone special who is celebrating his special birthday soon.

I am hoping I can schedule this to post on my blog without it showing on my facebook!

Karen Burniston New Release - Anita Frames

I'm back today with another wonderful die set from Karen Burniston.  These dies will start shipping  Middle  August from U S A and I'm sure Crafts  U Love will stock these just as soon as they can.  So if you can hold your excitement for a few more week, it will be here before you know it and give you time to save those pennies for all these amazing new die cutting dies.  You will not find dies that are as innovative and interactive as these.

Decorated  in my favourite colour combo and I used a  cutie Penny Black Hedgehog  for the image.  This is the ANITA FRAME die set that comes complete with the banners.

Twist Circle Pop Up NEW Karen Burniston Releases

Hi Crafters
I am here today with a little peep into what is coming next with Karen Burniston.

I have designed this card using a few of her new Designs.  The main card is using the TWIST CIRCLE POP UP and decorated inside with the very lovely and flappy MIDNIGHT THE BAT.

I have also used to decorate the card HALLOWEEN SCENE, HALLOWEEN STAMPS and a frame from ANITA FLOURISH FRAME.

The card will fold totally flat to fit in regular envelope!  

Even with this......

Inside!!  and I told Midnight was adorable!
