Echo......

Bit empty here, sorry about that I have been so busy this week with jobs I cant yet share.  I private little project, bunting orders and prep for my class this Saturday at Crafts U Love.

This Saturday I am demoing Fiskar's Wheel stamps and of course throwing in some of the New Mimi Stamps. Come along, there are many demo's and classes too.  I have been relying heavily on the examples found on the internet, you know me I love cute designs and these wheel stamps are very much for backgrounds.  Thank goodness for the internet! and I thank the designers for their inspiration.

Went to my friend Tamsins wedding last Saturday, here is me and hubby all scrubbed up nicely.  We had a day without the kids! this DOES NOT HAPPEN and we really enjoyed it ;)

Also Harvey had his cub camp, had a fantastic time, very happy but shattered and wet, this is what greeted us when we collected him!

here is a wedding bunting order I had.  It was a long banner!!
Good Luck to Jade and Aaron who
get married today!

Oh and talking on wedding bunting here is my friend Tamsins which
we made together a few months ago.  Great to see it in place,

I hope to have a few more thing to share after Saturday.

A little craft space

Sick and tired of craft stuff EVERYWHERE in the front room I enlisted Darren and his brother to carry a craft storage solution downstairs for me to put all my regular needed items. Of course not forgetting I have a 10ft x 8ft palace in the garden, but these are the bits and peices I need to have on hand as I dont tend to craft much in my palace, but it is a very lovely place to hold most of the crafty lovelyness I own. But I work in snatched moments in the day and evening on the dining table. CLICK picture to read whats on it :)
I gave away more than a hundred craft magazines to some ladies off freecycle, I am happy that there will be more readers getting inspired by the magazines, rather than just dump them.
Here is a cute card I made using the ADORABLE Tina Wenke stamps. I got mine from Crafts U Love on Saturday as I was helping in the shop. They really are soooo cute. I couldnt resist as they are lovely to colour. SO much detail. Now I just need someone to have a baby girl! I dont know anyone who is expecting so this one might be hanging around a while.
Here is a photo Harvey and me, taken by Caiden. Something tells me even the anti shake couldnt handle Caidens unsteady hand!! LOL

Still alive

Still alive but my mojo and energy levels have disappeared! I have just been feeling like everything is an effort right now so haven't done much.

Was hoping I would have some of the new Magnolias to play with by now and reignite my mojo but they havent arrived just yet, I am sure it wont be long.

I had a Stampin' Up! party at Julias on Tuesday, THANKS JULIA and ladies who came along, I hope you all enjoyed it. Here is what I demo'd
A little mini pizza box which they all liked as it is made from one piece of cardstock.

And a flower pot card too

and for my make and take we made this....

IF you are wanting me to come and host a party for you all you need is a few friends, a table, a date. I will travel about Surrey and Sussex. I will bring all supplies, demonstrate projects, design a make and take which we will all make. I can also come along to your craft group for a demo too. Evening, weekends and daytimes can be arranged.

I am at The Glitter Pot Saturday for a demo. I will be playing with the exclusive Forever Friends stamps that they have. Should be fun, just hope my mojo comes back before then! LOL

Reason for absence

I have been swamped with sickness from Caiden. He has been ill since Sunday. Then yesterday afternoon I decided to join in and then last night Harvey so we are all ill :(

Had a lovely day yesterday with Harveys class and year 2, now feeling bad that I might of infected someone else but without knowing it as I felt fine yesterday. They went to bodium castle, it was a really great day.

Will be back soon with something handmade, been enjoying printing and colouring these past few nights whilst catching sick from Caiden so I have a few images ready to mount, just feeling "blurgh" today so I cant sit up for much concentrated things.

Anyone seen my eyelashes??

Anyone?? I am sure I went out with some... well I have got some, its just they are shorter than they were!! LOL

Beavers was fantastic. We have a great leader who thinks of fun things for the beavers and also has a fab house and garden. OMG I would die to have a garden the size of his! Much of it is woodland down the bottom and thats where we took the beavers to in pairs with one adult per pair to make their own camp fires. They made a fire and then went up to the chickens to bring back an egg. We then Keeo and I (Rusty) fried the eggs on a large pan on a large fire. Well my eyes were streaming, my legs felt alite, so Jayne did most of the cooking and I stood there with bread for the fried eggs. Then the kids had marshmellows on sticks and dampers on sticks. For anyone like me who didnt know its a bready type dough that is wound around the stick and cooked over the fire, I had the jam to spread onto their dampers when done. I am sure the kids enjoyed themselves no end. We all came back stinking of bonfires! And as I said firstly my eyelashes are somewhat shorter!!

Prep for class has been done. Just need to get more cards done for the magazine projects.

Here is the card I made for Harveys friend. Ian stamp is from Diestodiefor.com The candle is actually an old hero shadow stamp and I stamped the main candle. Then I cleaned the stamp and drew on the flame shape onto the rubber and stamped that out. Decorated with some of the little patterns that came with the Exclusive Daisy and friends set that The Glitter Pot have.

Blog Candy update

I need to find a few more prizes as I know we have hopped close to 100 now!! I will update later if I can find some more candy ;0)

I am really busy at the moment. I have beavers tonight and also to prep for a class which I have no product for which is tomorrow! GULP. Also I have a large comission I am working on for magazine with deadline looming I need to get a wiggle on with this... so I might not be stamping much for fun this week for sure. Also need to make some cards for Sir Stampalot with the new Butterfly Magnolias for a show in Port Sunlight they are going to.. of course its all the same deadline!! We have no food in the house and no time to shop so I think for once I might actually do a online shop and let them deliver.

I wanted to say "Happy Anniversary" to my wonderful hubby Darren. We have been married for 9 years. We got married on our 11th year anniversary of going out, so thats 20 years we have been together!! We married in St Lucia in 2000. it was a lovely way to do it. What a wonderful way (Not) to spend our anniversary evening with 20 odd little boys and fires in the beaver leaders garden! trying to make sure no-one sets themselves alite! OH and I mean 20 odd.... not odd boys! LOL

I'll be back later with a card I made for one of Harveys friends. I made so lovely cards last night but they are all for the mag so I can't share.. Still you'll have a few months to wait and you can see all 20 cards and 8 tags!

Eagerly Awaiting the Chasing Butterflies collection??

I know I am! Chasing Butterflies is the latest collection from Magnolia and I know Sir Stampalot are waiting for theirs to come really soon! So to get us in all in a waiting for Magnolia frenzy I thought I would make a couple of cards. I was lucky enough to get the Spring Kit, some of of Chasing Butterflies collection are in the spring kit. I will post on my blog when SSA get theirs. The are around 6 that I still "need" from this collection myself, so I will be stalking their website daily!

This one is made with Tilda holding bee, the lovely flower from a past collection and the small bees. The paper and cardstock is SU.

This one is made with Tilda holding Ladybird and standing between the butterfly grasses. I added clear gloss to the bugs, gives they a great 3d feel. Papers are SU.
Blog Candy ; Just a couple more for another addition to the stash! Kay from Toodles and Binks has kindly offered some Toodles and Binks stash for me to add... so come on ladies, post about my candy on your blogs and the candy will grow!
Twilight ; I am on the fourth book now, I am soooo desperate for a happy ending. My happy will be Bella and Edward together forever... but I have a feeling its just not going to end like that! :( DONT TELL ME THOUGH!! LOL
Easter Weekend ; typical have a few days off and we are all bunged with cold, however thats OK we can live with that, so Darren has to get a fluey type thing that makes him bed ridden Easter Sunday and zombie like on Monday so we didnt do anything ;(
AWOL ; I will try not to, but it might be inevitable that I will have to go AWOL from posting cards for a while. I have a BIG comission for Cardmaking and Papercraft and I need to get it done, hence all my cardmaking time will be for work and not fun.

What a nice day

Lovely day today, quiet unexpected as I thought the rain was coming... however it was a little chilly but dry and sunny. This morning I went to Tilgate Park with kids and Mum. We walked around the whole of the lake there. Lots of climbing trees and scaring my half to death as Caiden and Harvey had to try almost every fishing jetty out!! LOL

Today is Kiera my nieces 12th Birthday and this is the card I made for her. I used Wild Rose Designs for the main image.

Not sure what it happening tomorrow, think the rain may well come in, I think I will go for drive and see what happens.

I got a lovely package today from Canada... who can guess what?!

New Designs and Weekend Waffle

From Wild Rose http://www.wildrosestudio.co.uk/collections/whats-new Check them out. They are fab! Cute bears and funky girls... not sure which I like the best? Nah! Cant choose ;0)

This weekend was a busy one. Saturday at the old Chicken Shack meeting where 16 ladies took part in my little make and take and also had fun chatting and crafting on their own. What a fab day, I really enjoyed it and I think they enjoyed it too.
Sunday I went shopping then back home to make packed lunch for a family day out arranged by Beavers to Godstone Farm. Kids had a great time, Daddy chased Caiden which left me able to chat to a friend Sunita and also make friends with the other parents too. Fun was had by all. So it was quiet a nice Mothers Day. Rounded off at the end of the day with takeaway Chinese so cant be bad.

Here is the card I made my Mum. Very simple, but she liked it. I used a bittybloom stamp from Stamping Bella. papers, card and flower from SU!

and here is one of the make and take variations made by Sue who made this on my make and take and changed the paper used. Gives is a whole new look with the white!

thats all for now!

Keep an eye on

Spiral Whisper in the next week. They are releasing some downloads. After much thought I decided to step down from SW design team some time ago. There has been a bit of downtime with them sorting things out and I thought it was the ideal time to do this. And it will give them a chance to get new talent in. I love their designs and I will still very much support them and become a customer when pennies permit!! Good Luck with it all Kitty xxx www.spiralwhisper.com

I am still re jigging the blog, just need to add my Toodles and Binks badge and I think I am nearly there.

I have a Gorguss card to share later. Got to fly to Crafts U Love to get my bits for my classes at the end of the month. Have you booked yet? check out their website for more info.

Update

I have been so busy making cards, just cant share with you! They are for a magazine comission. Also preping for 2 classes at The Glitter Pot this weekend too. I forced myself to stamp a little card before bed last night just for fun, just need to hop down to the shed to get some flowers to stick on it (stepping stones and a dark garden dont match). My Mum made me laugh yesterday, now she has always steered clear of cardmaking but needs a hobby. Well she ordered a few bits off me from SU and when I gave her her bag she said something like "ohhhh new stuff" LOL we laughed and I warned her it was downhill from now on, she was hooked!

Caiden at preschool so I have 2 hours to make my class prep. Wish me luck I would love to get it all done in 2 hours!

Harvey is going to school as "the crunching munching caterpillar" for book day. He has borrowed a fab costume off his friend. He also has earnt 20 minutes free play in his class (along with all the class) for getting all their class points. So they voted on 20 minutes play with a toy from home. Then tonight I have to go to parents evening to see how he is getting on.

Terrible night in bed, I was soooo cold at bedtime and I know I was awake at midnight. Then 3 ish Caiden woke and was restless for ages and then Harvey came in a 5.30 wide awake and wanting to chat. In the end we got up just before 6 as Harvey just wasnt going to settle and had started tickling Darren!

Harveys Birthday

He had a lovely day, in his words "the best birthday on the planet" ;0) what more can you ask for eh? Here he is on his pressie from Nanny - its actually for both Harvey and Caiden and Christmas too!! This was 8-15am yesterday in his jammies! Not much garden left but hey, what are gardens for it they are aren't for kids and craft sheds?

I havent been creative much, been too much punishing myself for my stupudity and feeling why should I be happy as I dont deserve it, but thats not really the right way to think is it? So I need to buck my ideas up and make myself happy again. And it the words of Forrest Gump "thats all I have to say about that". I do love Forrest quotes and for a "stupid" man he was very wise ;0)
I remembered Saturday night I had better make Harvey a card so here is what I made.

I used images from High Hopes - from a friend Johanna - I hadnt got any of these stamps and she kindly sent me some. You can get High Hopes from www.diestodiefor.co.uk tell them Stampingcaz sent ya!

Craftwork Cards circle in yummy brown and the card candy too. I didnt have any number 6 or anything so I thought I would use one candy for each year! - coloured with pencils Paper is Stampin' Up!

Saturdays class at Crafts U Love was Forever Friends and I had to design a wedding, christening, birthday and Baby card - bit of a challenge as I dont go Wedding and Christening cards well, but they turned out ok!

Sale-a-bration is over and I am so pleased I tempted some of you to get the very lovely Polka Dot Punches set - you will love it!! One I will continue to use for personal stamping fun now.
Last and by no means least I was so so happy to have received an email yesterday from Dulcie from www.wildrosestudio.co.uk to say that I had been accepted into their Design Team and I cant wait to get some cards made with the cute cats I have here at home really soon. I did stamp a cat last night but that was as far as I got!! LOL

Another one for the mad house..... meet......

Yoshi!

Harvey is 6 on 1st March and he said he wanted a Hamster for his birthday. He talked non stop about if for a week. I decided that on his birthday he will be too caught up with his party ect that we would get his present early and we went and got Yoshi and his "Space Command Centre".. LOL now I always wanted rotastak for my Hampters/Gerbils but it was too expensive. But as this is Harveys main (if not only) pressie we went for the biggest and best!! Yesterday Yoshi stayed in his house and only got into the long tube a few inches in and that was when Harvey was sleeping.... today clever Yoshi got right to the top to the "observation deck" ;0) Here are a few pics...

Harvey is thrilled to have Yoshi!

Clever Yoshi ;0) This was the first time he went up to the very top... that little drawer cant be pulled out and treats put into it.. How cute.

He keeps stuffing his cheeks full of food and going to the tube to eat it. Now he has managed this tube he is whizzing up and down really quickly.

Been a while

Have been really busy. Friday night we went to a wedding reception. A wedding with a twist as my friend had won a competition for a secret wedding so she actually only proposed to her partner at about 7.45 in the morning and married at 9!! Fantastic!

So here is the card I made them.

Stamp is from Crafts U Love and the rest of it from craftwork cards.

We had a great time at the party and the boys loved it, Darren and I were forced to dance as they kept dragging us up. It was as really lovely evening though.

I have often sung the praises of freecycle. I get rid of all I want to on there and also have picked up some great things too. (google freecycle to find out about it) anyway, I saw this on Friday and had to have it. I was thrilled to have got it too!

I have my craftwork cards stuff in the top drawer, linen card in the next, hammer card in the next. Then on the shelves I have my most used punches, at the back it has little cubby holes and I have put my jars of card candy on those. Then it has two long holes for artists rolls of paper I assume which have stoppers to make them longer or shorts, so I have them in the shortest and I have my nesties in those and a few other bits. Its on wheels so I cant wheel it to where I sit. RESULT!! The man said he was happy that it was going to someone who was really going to enjoy using it. ;0)
I have a mountain of washing to catch up with today, clean the guinea pigs out, do the shopping , make a roast so I dont know if crafting is on the agenda.
BTW if anyone is local and is looking for a monthly craft group to come along to I will be going along to a monthly meeting in Nutfield Nr Redhill. More details on my SU website (address on the left bar)

Stamp Heaven

WOW talk about good mail day today. I got so much to share.. so much to ink up! Remember a while back I sold a few stamps for my huggabugg fund, well I got those today!! YIPEEEEE lots of lovely bugs ;0)

Then I got the ADORABLE Pollycrafts stamp. OMG these images are to die for.... beautiful! They are out now and I cant wait to have a good play with these... and keep your eyes open for these in Quick Cards Made Easy AND Cardmaking and Papercraft too as I have got a few things lined up with them soon ;0)

I also, last but by no means least, some adorable Magnolia Love Collection from www.sirstampalot.co.uk and I cant wait to ink those up too.

So if I am not back soon you know why, I am playing with all my lovely goodies ;0)

Seems as well as rubber lovers I have twitchers too and you all guessed the bird was a Thrush and I intially thought that too so I think we must all be right. Been racking my brains all afternoon for a name for my new birdie.. He seems to be looking after a certain berry bush in our garden and this is about right for a thrush as I was wikapediaing about them yesterday. The are very teritorial over things like this.

I am currently uploading a punch tutorial to you tube, taking forever and I need to rough edit before I upload. I have another coming but it will have to wait until tomorrow as its taking too long.

The S Word

And for once I dont mean Stamps!!

Look what we have.....

We have approx 10 - 12 cm and there is no sign of it stopping. School has been closed YIPEE so Harvey is well pleased. I am too to be truthful as I havent got my car and I wasnt about to walk there especially as there is a lot more forecast.
My New Penny Black stamps have been eased in gently and I have coloured a few in, just need to make some cards so maybe between the snow fun I might get something made with them. remember a while back I sold a load of stamps so I could get my Bellas? Well they havent come yet, whats the betting that they will come today, or I will be carded today so I cant collect them!!
Also anyone a knitter of doggy jumpers? I think Milo needs one!! LOL His poor little tummy is buried in the snow and in Harveys words..
*** WARNING kids one liner ABOUT A DOGS PRIVATE PARTS ***
"Milos poor little nuts are frozen" !!! Kids eh?
Beavers is cancelled and TicTac forsaw the snow warnings and has arranged a meeting just by his house with 10 sledges so if we feel brave at 5pm we're go out for sledging for 1/2 hour this really is the best snow we have had since Harvey has been around so we need to get out and take advantage of it. I am sure I will be updating with lots more pictures.
Take care and wrap up everyone
