Demonstration at Crafts U Love tomorrow

I am going to Crafts U Love tomorrow for a Forever Friends demo. These bears are adorable! If you are around, come and say Hello. I will be teamign these up with flock, papers and punches.

Also should be getting some Lucia and Santa tomorrow from Sirstampalot so hope to get time to play this Sunday!

13th - 16th November is a date for your diary. I will be at the NEC in Birmingham at the Stampin Up! stand on Sunday. Do come and say Hello and see what SU has to offer. I am really looking forward to going to this show, its HUGE!

No cards today

I cant see any cards being done today. Nearly 5pm and I am picking a friend up later and she is staying and coming with me to the Glitter Pot tomorrow. I have 2 days of crafting, tomorrow at The Glitter Pot for their first birthday celebrations and Sunday at Creative Living, formerly Creative Pastimes with a new name and lots of new homey decor type goodies in store. I went there today to see if their bella order was in but it wasnt and it was nice to have a wander around and be on the other side of the table. Paula was there demoing the expressions machine what a fabby machine, Gaynor was there doing her amazing work with decoupage and stamps and a new lady Louisette (i think this was her name, I have a terrible memory) who was demoing Stamping Bellas (lucky thing) would have swapped the boys for a day playing with Bellas :) anyway, I think I will be all crafted out this weekend so I think today I will have a rest. This despite the fact I got my mitts on not one, not two, not three, (come on tell us I hear you shout) not four but 9 new stamps today! 2 new bellas, 3 scrummy Magnolias and a lovely set of 4 snowmen stamps that Paula very kindly brought me from her trip to Canada, isnt that just so kind. I have taken a photo but am too tired to drag my butt off the sofa right now... I really feel like I could fall asleep right now.

Had a nice afternoon at my friend Karens house. She has recently moved and was showing me her new place. Lovely, lots of room inside and the garden is HUGE! The boys are both zonked out. Usually I wouldnt let them at this time but I just felt like a little peace myself and my friend isnt coming til later so it will be a late night as I will have to take the boys out when I pick her up from the station. I did intially think when they both dropped off in the car, Oh goodie I can stamp, but yes, there are some days I just cant be bothered! I am toooo tired.

Whilst I slept

I went past 20000 hits! WOW.... I think I will celebrate with some blog candy when I get to 25000.. Once again thanks for coming and reading. I hope its interested and not too boring for you. I will have some cards to share later from my Cuttlebug demo at Crafts U Love.

I say whilst I slept, which wasnt much, hubby did a disappearing trick down the pub and didnt get back until 1am! Caiden from about 12;30am had been twisting, turning, moaning ect ect and generally not sleeping, so at 2am I got up and gave him a bottle of milk and some medicine. Finally about 2;30 he went to sleep. Then just as I got upstairs Harvey fell out of bed with a loud bump! He was in with me and Caiden as Darren was out. Then about 4-5am Darren managed to make it upstairs! He hasnt been out for ages and drunk far too much and had crashed on the sofa. Just before 7 Caiden and I got up and Harvey got up about 8:30. I am so tired and not in the best of moods!! LOL So not really looking forward to my demo. Least it doesnt start until 11am so it means I will have a bit more time at home. I am leaving at 10 to get some lunch on the way, was going to make it but I cant be bothered and I am going to treat myself as I didnt have tea last night as I was thinking Darren and I could have chinese. Oh well there is always tonight for that.

I will be teaching at a Crafty Connexions weekend in The Thurrock HotelAveley , Purfleet, Essex. Come and join in a weekend of fun. More details can be found on their website www.craftyconnexions.co.uk I will be teaching two different classes one will be learning a few different cards ( 3 to be exact) so if you are getting tired of the same old layouts this could be right up your street and the other class will be decorating an unusual container which would be perfect to hold a little gift for a friend or loved one. Looking forward to the classes, 2 full nights of sleep BLISS, but not leaving my little boys, especially Caiden who I havent left yet! A few more cards and a project in the making

This morning whilst Caiden napped I decided that my Fellas needed their own box. Cant have them in with the bellas can I? So the decision was shall I used a tin like I did for the bellas or a c-thru can for them.... Hmmm I decided that I will always have more bellas than fellas so the can would be big enough. I will share when I have finished, alas, Caidens nap was short lived and I am cooking our sunday roast also so needed to be back in the kitchen.

Here to the left is another one of the cards I made yesterday. I was going to make it a tent topper. I havent really looked into the sizes on these and since the card base was 6 x 6 I thought if I made it a tent topper people would ask "what envelope will this fit in" as they so often do, so I didnt bother. I do need to look into this though and see if the cards a scaled down to make the tent toppers fit in the envelopes.

I dont recall what this fold is called but its pritty neat. Kim sent me a card using this fold. I have also seen it on Beates site. I can not credit for who "invented" it.

Fun at the Glitter Pot

I had a fun Glitter Pot demo and made quiet a few cards. I will upload my favourite two tonight, and some more tomorrow. I figured this will give me a few days worth of posting. As said yesterday I was demoing the new Christmas Penny Black, Everyday Penny Black designs and some monkeys from Stampendous.

This one was a card I made using the Penny Black Sunshine Hedgehog. This has to be one of my all time favourite Penny Black stamps. I love to colour it in different colour schemes and ones that have worked well in the past as well as this yellow/orange scheme are lilac and aqua and reds and pinks.

The background paper is from Doodlebug, I LOVE this also. And I also totally and I dont really know why, but I totally fell in love with this orange spotty ribbon. I MUST have a roll :) Bryan let me take a length of this colour to play with at home. He must laugh at all us mad women in his shop stroking and loving pieces of ribbon and papers and drooling over stamps!

Here is my second card for this one I used one of the new Penny Black Christmas design, these are red hot and not even in the country yet. We were just teasing and tempting people as these should be in the store in a couple of weeks. This was the card that produced the most comments, everyone loved these snowmen and even though the card was very simple people just seemed to love it. I wish I had grabbed some blue ribbon and had some wording stamps to finish this off better.

So thats "show and tell" for today. I will post some more tomorrow.

Glitter Pot tomorrow

UPDATE : I know what I am demoing and I am in for a treat and so are you if my mojo is about. I will be playing with my favourite stamps by my favourite manufacturers. I will be demoing Penny Black, Stampendous Monkeys and [trumpets please] showcasing the NEW CHRISTMAS PENNY BLACK. The Glitter Pot this Saturday

Come and see a free demonstration at the Glitter Pot on Saturday. I will be there demonstrating rubber stamping and colouring from 10am -4pm using H20's and some fantastic stamps. Not sure what stamps just yet as Bryan and Carolyn have been away. Will update this message as soon as I know.
