Sunny Sunday

Another beautiful day on the cards. Kids are playing in the sandpit already, everyone else, ie Darren and BIL are still in their beds, lazy men eh? I had a lie in and got up at 7.30 to find Harvey was already up and watching tv downstairs, a sign he is growing up, coming down and sorting himself out :) meant I got another half and hour to hour in bed, not sure when he got up but it was 6 something.

SO here are the rest of the cards I made at the Glitter Pot yesterday. And also some of Carolyns cards, she is the owner along with Bryan and her colouring is beautiful! Her colours are always so vibrant and make mine look wishy washy. Mine are first.

I really messed up with the photos yesterday, I forgot to take single shots of some of them, so some are cropped parts from larger photos so they go a little fuzzy.

This is one of the fuzzy shots, the champers glass is really cute and for lots of occasions.

A little bit of paper piecing for this one, I added an extra balloon, think it looks better
with two - again a fuzzy shot

This is the mini box and cards I made before I went to the Glitter Pot.

ADORE these colours of papers. I had to get a sheet or 2 of the one on the right as its beautiful. All totally "me" colours - anyone else have to buy 2's of papers? One to use and
one to stroke right?!

This is called a side step card and created a lot of comments. I have a class at the end of July for Forever Friends stamps so I think I will throw in this card fold to the class too, of course making a new sample which will be different.

So last night I was saying to hubby about maybe going to the beach today, not for ages but for lunch and a play in low tide. But now in the cold light of day when I realise we have NO picnic food and I would have to pack and get ready for the entire family to go out the door it doesnt seem such an inviting option. Hmmm me run around like a headless chicken for 2 hours to get us all ready and lunches done, or sit here, make a start on some cards I need to make for tomorrow? Pollycraft have very kindly designed an image for me so I can make cards for the beavers. I cant wait to show you what she has done!! its fabo.

7th July is a BIG date on my calender. Stampin' Up! are opening the registration for the convention in Germany and I am going!! By hook or by crook. I cant wait. everyone that is a demonstrator can go (of course you have to pay) but there are no restrictions of sales or anything so as long as you are a demonstrator you can book. Join now and come too!!

Oh well, better go and get dressed its almost 9!

ps will be back later with Carolyns cards

pps will be back later with a few things for sale too as I am saving for my latest rubber wishes

Glitter Pot Demoing

I was demoing at the Glitter Pot today, using their fabby EXCLUSIVE Forever Friends stamps. These stamps are ADORABLE.. I had great fun as you can see.

I loved colouring this bear sitting on the step. Used my nesties for this shape and a martha punch for the top and bottom.
Simple but effective, I love the lilac with the black and white

I used a nestie to make the flower. Words are Craftwork Cards
My nesties got used today. I loved this card and the soft colours

I loved this pinky red card too.
I will be back tomorrow with some more closer photos, but for now here is a group shot and some of the closer ones

Remember these stamps can not be brought ANYWHERE else!
Bye

Harveys Birthday

He had a lovely day, in his words "the best birthday on the planet" ;0) what more can you ask for eh? Here he is on his pressie from Nanny - its actually for both Harvey and Caiden and Christmas too!! This was 8-15am yesterday in his jammies! Not much garden left but hey, what are gardens for it they are aren't for kids and craft sheds?

I havent been creative much, been too much punishing myself for my stupudity and feeling why should I be happy as I dont deserve it, but thats not really the right way to think is it? So I need to buck my ideas up and make myself happy again. And it the words of Forrest Gump "thats all I have to say about that". I do love Forrest quotes and for a "stupid" man he was very wise ;0)
I remembered Saturday night I had better make Harvey a card so here is what I made.

I used images from High Hopes - from a friend Johanna - I hadnt got any of these stamps and she kindly sent me some. You can get High Hopes from www.diestodiefor.co.uk tell them Stampingcaz sent ya!

Craftwork Cards circle in yummy brown and the card candy too. I didnt have any number 6 or anything so I thought I would use one candy for each year! - coloured with pencils Paper is Stampin' Up!

Saturdays class at Crafts U Love was Forever Friends and I had to design a wedding, christening, birthday and Baby card - bit of a challenge as I dont go Wedding and Christening cards well, but they turned out ok!

Sale-a-bration is over and I am so pleased I tempted some of you to get the very lovely Polka Dot Punches set - you will love it!! One I will continue to use for personal stamping fun now.
Last and by no means least I was so so happy to have received an email yesterday from Dulcie from www.wildrosestudio.co.uk to say that I had been accepted into their Design Team and I cant wait to get some cards made with the cute cats I have here at home really soon. I did stamp a cat last night but that was as far as I got!! LOL

Been a while

Have been really busy. Friday night we went to a wedding reception. A wedding with a twist as my friend had won a competition for a secret wedding so she actually only proposed to her partner at about 7.45 in the morning and married at 9!! Fantastic!

So here is the card I made them.

Stamp is from Crafts U Love and the rest of it from craftwork cards.

We had a great time at the party and the boys loved it, Darren and I were forced to dance as they kept dragging us up. It was as really lovely evening though.

I have often sung the praises of freecycle. I get rid of all I want to on there and also have picked up some great things too. (google freecycle to find out about it) anyway, I saw this on Friday and had to have it. I was thrilled to have got it too!

I have my craftwork cards stuff in the top drawer, linen card in the next, hammer card in the next. Then on the shelves I have my most used punches, at the back it has little cubby holes and I have put my jars of card candy on those. Then it has two long holes for artists rolls of paper I assume which have stoppers to make them longer or shorts, so I have them in the shortest and I have my nesties in those and a few other bits. Its on wheels so I cant wheel it to where I sit. RESULT!! The man said he was happy that it was going to someone who was really going to enjoy using it. ;0)
I have a mountain of washing to catch up with today, clean the guinea pigs out, do the shopping , make a roast so I dont know if crafting is on the agenda.
BTW if anyone is local and is looking for a monthly craft group to come along to I will be going along to a monthly meeting in Nutfield Nr Redhill. More details on my SU website (address on the left bar)

Forever Fun

I had lots of fun at The Glitter Pot yesterday where I was demoing the Forever Friends stamps and papers. These stamps and papers make for some really lovely cards, As always the demo cards are simple because of the fact that you havent got all your own stash to play with so things like ribbons, flowers, buttons ect are left off. Here is what I made.

If you want to play with these adorable stamps join me for a class - Tuesday in October, I cant remember the date.. check out their website www.theglitterpot.co.uk for more info
