For my Grandad

I made this card last night with my son Harvey in my shed.  He has been asking for some time to craft with me in the night so since we have Bank Holiday today I let him stay with me til 10pm   I made this card.  He made a few bits and we watched Godzilla in the palace too :)

When I brought this set I got it for the older men that I need cards for.  First one made is for my Grandad and I need to make one for my uncle next.

I stamped the bird first onto the card, then inked up again and stamped it onto an acrylic block to create the mirror image, like the bird is standing next to water.  This is a great set from Stampin Up!

Another digi card

Here I have used one of the Emerald Faeries for another card.  I have teamed it up with three colour of paper from the Stampin Up! pastel paper stack, beautiful aren't they?  I have also used Stampin' Up! crystals, words and the flower is from one of the SALE-A-BRATION stamp sets.  Added a little bit of the yummy bakers twine and I was all done.

Punch fun

Harvey and I used todays "snow day" as a chance to make a little punch art.  I have seen several elves around the blogs recently and was dying to make one and since I just got the large oval punch I could finally have a go.

Looks likes Harveys is doing a jig, it does make me smile :)
I used a LOT of punches for these, but thats the beauty of collecting the punches, once you
have them there are so many things you can make.

Enjoy!

Ros Davidson
Marie Shaughnessy were both ladies on who's blogs I saw these elves.

Twit Twoo

I was playing about with some punches last night, I was seeing if I could make an owl from punches we already have in our catalogue and here is what I come up with.

I made him used

Rounded Tab Punch - Body
Two Step Bird Punch - Wings & Branches
Heart from triple heart punch - Beak & Tummy
Boho Blossom Punch - Feet
1/4" Circle punch - Eyes

I am sure he will start popping up over blogs shortly as I shared with my fellow SU demos on our forum.  Not bad for playing about with some scraps on my table :)

Magnolia Card

I actually made a simple card today.  Coloured images in with Stampin Up! Ink pads and Blender pen.  I think the colouring has turned out ok.  I always used to use a blender pen, havent for years but I think it might be my new best friend.

Someday my prince will come

AS I seem to have a "thing" for frogs I couldnt resist this cute Tilda from the Fairytale collection and picked this up from work earlier in the week.  Now if I had a girl their bedroom would be all pink, shimmery and dreamy.  I a really pleased how this card came out.

Tilda from work
Colouring with distress inks
Punches are woodware make ( plum shape)
Stamps for background are Vintage Vogue from Stampin' Up! (me)
cardstock is from the pastels pack of card (Soft Subtles) from Stampin Up! some of these colours are retiring so stock up now!
Paper rose - made by me - made using flower from Vintage Vogue set and dipped in Dazzling Diamonds glitter.

Was tempted to load up the card with a whole bunch of stuff but left it as is, you know me and simple.

Ahoy! shipgirls

I made this last night.  A right mix of stuff.  I coloured her with Stampin Up! ink pads, using the top of the inkpads as a pallette.  Gives the same effect as distress inks I think.

Stamp is Magnolia.  I have used a few retiring colours for the wheeling around the tilda image.  I told you I am loving the new vintage wheel and its great for just "grunging" up something.  The gold thing is supposed to be a pirate coin and I made it by layering up gold embossing powder and stamping into it when hot with a SU stamp again.

Righto off to work.  Now working 2 days in week and Saturdays too.  Hours less in the days but means I can fo school runs.

Oh and the paper is the new Sweet Pea paper stack from SU too.  My new fav papers.

Rain Rain go away

What a horrible day it has been.  Raining most of the day and kids climbing the walls.  Anyway, I watched Avatar today, we brought it last week but hadnt had a chance to watch it.  WOW it was fantastic.  Amazing graphics and a good story too.  So pleased it ended how I wanted it too ;)

I made a card today, I used my new Lilli of the Valley stamp and also a few flower stamps from a Stampendous set.  I thought the cute bear would look cute with some large flowers behind him.  I used my Stampin Up! ink pads to colour this in and also used my Glimmer Paint to make my own shimmer spray.  The beautiful flower is Prima.  The words are from the same Stampendous set and the punch is the Word Window punch from SU.  Oh and I cant forget the edge punch that is the Martha Flourish punch which took my a few months to track down!

Also here are some quick boxes that I made using the Vintage Vogue stamp set from Stampin' Up! and the matching wheel.  Not at all my usual style, however it was so easy to make and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the wheel now and I can see this being used a lot, along with the set too when I am feeling more "grown up".

I have entered the above into the Lili of the valley challenge blog http://liliofthevalleythursdaychallenge.blogspot.com/

Have a great bank holiday weekend!

Almost there...

School tomorrow, so after two weeks it will be back to school runs ect... looking forward to a bit more quiet time, but not to getting up and out in the morning.

Today we rounded off the school holiday in a lovely way and we took the boys and Mum to the circus. We had never been to the circus with the boys, well we'd never been together either, I did as a kid with Mum and Dad but it was soooo long ago I cant really remember! It was a small circus with most if not all of the performers doubling up as candy floss sellers, face painters ect when the breaks were on. There was a great mixer of performers and comedy and we all thouroughly enjoyed it. The are going to Copthorne next and you can see their list of places on their website above.

Kids were thrilled as nanny won the raffle prize at the Circus and we got another Milo! all stuffed dogs in our house are Milo and it gets confusing! Harvey has gone to bed with him tonight and I have told him Caiden can take it tomorrow.
There is a new Magnolia Challenge Blog called http://justmagnolia.blogspot.com/ and I am entering this card for their sketch challenge...
Yesterday I went to Chicken Shack club which meets once a month. There I hold a make and take and demo and this was my demo card, made with all SU materials. Cute eh?

Right, must go, lost is on now.

Stamp with us challenge card 2

I thought I would enter this card for the second challenge, it being "birthday". I feel this card would be suitable for this occasion or many others! I know I only posted it the other week but I was really pleased with how it turned out and this set has fast become and favourite from the mini catallogue. I have used Petal Pizzaz stamp set with the wording from Occassional Greeting, chocolate chip ribbon, jewelled brads and Sweet Always Paper

The link for Stamp with us is on the right ----->

Todays proper card is the Easter/Spring card I made my Mum, not the normal Eatster card but I really had the urge to get a House Mouse stamp out and tulips are out everywhere right now so the image was fitting for the season.

Paper, Cardstock, Punched Flowers and ribbon are all Stampin'Up!
Image is House Mouse, coloured with Pro Markers

I hope you all have a lovely Easter Sunday.

A few cards

Here are a couple of cards, one from today. The others from the SU training I went to Friday. Oh and my swap card I made for said meeting.

The first one is made with Geisha Anya, isnt she lovely? There seems to be a lot of Geisha/Japanese dolls about at the moment. I am not keen on many of them, but Geisha Anya is an exception. I got her from www.diestodiefor.co.uk she is a greetings farm stamp. The paper is Stampin' Up! the flowers and punch are SU too.

These cards were made for my swap at the meeting. I used the Fresh Cuts stamps from the Mini Catalogue. I had to make 20 so I needed simple ;0)

And last but not least, its not all learning and slideshows at these training sessions!! We have fun too and we made these 3 cute cards. I am going to design a card simular to this one for a video tutorial really soon. Unfortunately wont be tomorrow as I have Beavers tomorrow night.
Right I had an appointment with Lost and then Edward Cullen ;0)
See ya tomorrow

Pizzaz - you bored yet?

I'm not, really love this set. It makes some bright and fun cards.

All SU for this one. Paper Pizzaz for the main stamps, the wording is from Occasional Greetings, paper is Sweet always. There is an orange heart circle inside the largest flower which is from the Petal Party scrapping set. OMG these are lovely... if you haven't looked at these to ought to. These are fab for cardmakers too!! The papers are lovely, textured cardstock and sticker. WOW

I am going to be leaving this one with SU tomorrow night at the field training. We demonstrators always swap cards and they like that we leave a card for them. This I must stress is NOT what I am swapping with the demos, as much as I would love to give them all one of these its far too much work when you have 20 cards to make. So this was a special one for them.

More pizzaz

Here is another card made with the Pizzaz set and flowers that I cut out, mounted together and used jewelled brads to make this very blue card. I am not as keen on this card as the others but it shows you how to build the flowers up and what they look like in blue too.

Something with pizzaz

Petal Pizzaz that is. This is a wonderful new stamp set from Stampin' Up! and I will be showing the ladies at the card club tomorrow how to make the card on the right and they will all get to have a go too. I love these bold flowers and how different colours make them look so different too. They can all be inked up in the choices of colours you want, cut out (one can be punched) and then layered to make some fab flowers. I have another card coming later with a different take on these flowers.

I have also used the Oval all phrases and the oval punch, scallop oval punch too... which BTW these punches nestle PERFECTLY in each other and even more exctingly for me (as you know how much I love Craftwork Cards messages) their oval words fit in perfectly too!

The card on the left was CASED from a very clever lady off splitcoaststampers. I don't mind admitting I need help with inspiration sometimes, especially when its not a cute person or animal!

I am thrilled with these cards, I hope you like them too?

Eva

Meet Eva... she is lovely isnt she? and you can get her from here - she is one of three beautiful fairies from The Greeting Farm.

Dies to Die for offer the most amazing service and the owner will always strive to get things posted asap for you. I have no qualms to suggest them.
Also on this card I used the very very lovely WASHINGTON APPLE papers from Stampin' Up! OMG I LOVE these papers. Beautiful designs and lovely colours. I added some glitter Glue to the papers and and Eva's wings.
I also used the Stampin' Up! Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch and the Oval All stamp set. These three items are going to popping up on blogs all over the country as I can see these being very very popular.
If you nip over to my Stampin' Up! website www.stampingcaz.co.uk you can download the mini and for a special PRE ORDER time I am offering FREE POSTAGE on all orders from the Mini Catalogue - you must order and have paid before 1st April so I am ready and able to put the order through on 31st March at 12;01am
Must fly I am prepping for my Club meeting this Saturday. I will be making a lovely flower card with one of the new flower sets in the Mini catalogue. To reserve your place go to my SU website.

Buggy Thanks

OMG. YES! I got it!! LOL Someone kindly pointed me to Ebay and said "there is a spring kit on there" no sooner had I got that message, I had checked out in paypal and yesterday they plopped through my letterbox!

So thank you kind enabler and thank you to Tricia who accidentally ordered 2 sets!!

Despite these lovelys AND my Stampin' Up! mini pre order and other SU goodies being in my hands last night I wasnt in a card making mood (I know shock horror) I just wasnt getting into it so my first Magnolia spring card isnt really anything to shout about. The beautiful ribbon, oval stamp set and oval punches are new from SU and the paper is also from SU but not new (only to me) So all these pieces of georgousness = one quiet boring card!

Oh well, today is another day,, perhaps I will be more inspired today, although the way I am feeling right now I dont think I will. Extreme tiredness seems to be hanging over me all the time and its hard to get going.
