Cute card Thursday

Today is the last of my Cute Card Thursday Guest Designer cards and I want to thank everyone there for letting me play along.  I will try and take part in more challenges on there :)  Let me just get convention out of the way.

Here is my last card, the challenge was using acetate.

I have used the ADORABLE Penny Black girl on bike, Magnolia tree, Martha Grass edge punch and the Magnolia fence.  The fence and grass was stuck to the acetate on the ouside, the girl and bike is inside.

I hope you like?

Magnolia Card

I actually made a simple card today.  Coloured images in with Stampin Up! Ink pads and Blender pen.  I think the colouring has turned out ok.  I always used to use a blender pen, havent for years but I think it might be my new best friend.

Someday my prince will come

AS I seem to have a "thing" for frogs I couldnt resist this cute Tilda from the Fairytale collection and picked this up from work earlier in the week.  Now if I had a girl their bedroom would be all pink, shimmery and dreamy.  I a really pleased how this card came out.

Tilda from work
Colouring with distress inks
Punches are woodware make ( plum shape)
Stamps for background are Vintage Vogue from Stampin' Up! (me)
cardstock is from the pastels pack of card (Soft Subtles) from Stampin Up! some of these colours are retiring so stock up now!
Paper rose - made by me - made using flower from Vintage Vogue set and dipped in Dazzling Diamonds glitter.

Was tempted to load up the card with a whole bunch of stuff but left it as is, you know me and simple.

Ahoy! shipgirls

I made this last night.  A right mix of stuff.  I coloured her with Stampin Up! ink pads, using the top of the inkpads as a pallette.  Gives the same effect as distress inks I think.

Stamp is Magnolia.  I have used a few retiring colours for the wheeling around the tilda image.  I told you I am loving the new vintage wheel and its great for just "grunging" up something.  The gold thing is supposed to be a pirate coin and I made it by layering up gold embossing powder and stamping into it when hot with a SU stamp again.

Righto off to work.  Now working 2 days in week and Saturdays too.  Hours less in the days but means I can fo school runs.

Oh and the paper is the new Sweet Pea paper stack from SU too.  My new fav papers.

Loves me...

Loves me not... I loves this card. This Tilda is soooo cute. The strawberry so red and juicy looking, it has gloss on it, but the camera cant really see it.
Got Christmas cards to make this week for a deadline, so I wont be able to do much crafting. Also working on the last piece for my stint at the Elzybells guest design thing.
Tomorrow we are going to the O2 to see Walking with Dinosuars.... cant wait!

Tilda Safari

Here is a card I made yesterday. Tilda on Safari. I hope you like it.

All stamps are from http://www.sirstampalot.co.uk

Fruity Tastic

I dont know why but I am in a fruity mood again! When I saw this adorable melon Template from http://www.animalscraps.blogspot.com/ by a lady called Elizabeth I just had to email her to get it.

I picked up this cute Strawberry Tilda yesterday and although its called Strawberry I thought she would look cute with this melon too. I coloured her with distress inks.

In hindsight I would make the handle a bit narrower. I opted for the handle this way as I needed something to stick the flower to as it was very thin and spindly. I have filled mine with the fruity stamps from Tart and Tangy from Stampin Up! and lots of red and green ribbons.

(dont forget my offer for Tart and Tangy ends July so visit http://www.stampingcaz.co.uk/ to see more on the stamps and papers offer)

Enjoy!

Something new

I tried something new. I was greatly inspired by Kim Piggotts STUNNING cards at Crafts U Love on Sunday that I had to buy some of the shimmer mist and dust off my distress pads and have a go. Not up to Kims standards by any stretch, I expect the cardstock has something to do with this and lack of skills, But I was quiet happy for my first attempt.

Wild about you

Here is another brayer card made with Magnolia images again. Love em!

The "grass" is an old stamp I have had for years, its Stampourri lavender, not sure they are still around? I went to my shed, searching for something I could use, surely I had something that would pass as grass as I know the lions like long grasses in their homeland. And yes! I found it :) This time as well as the orange, yellow and red I used 2 shades of green too, both from SU.

Kim would be proud

I have a friend called Kim, if I mention her surname a few of you might just recognise her, infact a lot would. Kim Reygate, she has written a few crafting books and makes the most stunning backgrounds with inks and brayers.

I have had my brayer for years.. It has ink on it, so I have used it on something, cant remember what, but today I inked it up again and made this card. Kim would be very proud of me and my card!

I really enjoyed making this and of course it was a perfect background for these safari Edwin stamps. When I saw the savannah scene stamp I instantly knew I would do this. I didnt have any background paper to match, so I very scruffily wheeled a Stampin Up! wheel across the background to cover with vines and leaves.

All stamp were from http://www.sirstampalot.co.uk/

I did the sky with summer sun, pumpkin pie and ruby red ink pads from Stampin Up! and the ground was creamy caramel with a hint of really rust. I have a SU offer on the first 3 coloured inkpads. If you order all three I will send you 12 corresponding A4 cardstock sheets FREE! (4 of each colour, Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie and Ruby Red)

Beautiful Butterflies

I love the butterfly collection from Magnolia and when I got this stamp from Sir Stampalot I couldn't wait to play, however, since I have a big comission to work on I had to make a deal with myself to make the bulk of the comission first and then play. So with just 2 cards and 4 tags to go I treated myself with a little play. This card is being sent to Sir Stampalot for them to take along to their show. SSA have these in stock so check them out www.sirstampalot.co.uk

Please excuse the photo being a bit blurry, I took it on my flip camera as I cant find my camera.

I will be back with an update on some fabby new adorable designs in another post.

Almost there...

School tomorrow, so after two weeks it will be back to school runs ect... looking forward to a bit more quiet time, but not to getting up and out in the morning.

Today we rounded off the school holiday in a lovely way and we took the boys and Mum to the circus. We had never been to the circus with the boys, well we'd never been together either, I did as a kid with Mum and Dad but it was soooo long ago I cant really remember! It was a small circus with most if not all of the performers doubling up as candy floss sellers, face painters ect when the breaks were on. There was a great mixer of performers and comedy and we all thouroughly enjoyed it. The are going to Copthorne next and you can see their list of places on their website above.

Kids were thrilled as nanny won the raffle prize at the Circus and we got another Milo! all stuffed dogs in our house are Milo and it gets confusing! Harvey has gone to bed with him tonight and I have told him Caiden can take it tomorrow.
There is a new Magnolia Challenge Blog called http://justmagnolia.blogspot.com/ and I am entering this card for their sketch challenge...
Yesterday I went to Chicken Shack club which meets once a month. There I hold a make and take and demo and this was my demo card, made with all SU materials. Cute eh?

Right, must go, lost is on now.
