4Hounds Ribbon Blossom

I had one of the "ooohhhh" moments this morning when I saw this link http://indigostudio-4hounds.blogspot.com/ I have added ribbons to my ribbon, probably taking it only up to three but this lady decided to add lots and her cards are stunning with her blossoms on them. Its like one of those "why didnt I think of that moments" simple idea but the results are lovely.

So I decided to have a go myself, I used 8 pieces and I think it would have been better with maybe 4 more ribbons and oh my lord, I found it quiet simply complicated!! LOL I was getting more than a little frustrated with getting it to look anything like it does now. Its easy really but my little old brain wasnt having any of it.

I used the cute bear from Penny Black (from the glitter pot) Stampin' Up! papers (from me among lots of other UK demos) and the nestabilities (again from glitter pot) Lots of bits of ribbon, a whole lot of frustration but then a whole lot of smiling when I finally got it how I wanted. Not as beautiful as hers, but it will do :)

I will have another go tomorrow boys permitting, or should I say boy as Harveys now firmly in the all day at school club.

Twit Twooo

I fancied playing with one of my Stampendous owls yesterday so I made this card. I love halloween even though we don;t celebrate it big time over here in the UK. We'll still go trick or treating providing Harvey has gotten a good school report :) LOL we have parents evening that evening too.

I used Stampendous owl "ollies treats" and coloured him with watercolour pencils. The paper is doodlebug. The spider is a cuttlebug cutter, the scallops are hiding a boo boo and are done using the SU slit punch (please please SU UK have this in the catalogue!) I went to town with the decoration and added zoomz, doodlebug jewels, glitter glue and ribbon.

I am working today at my favourite craft store, The Glitter Pot. I have two fun classes planned with us making a joy fold, criss cross, diarama and file folder card. I will share the pictures later when I have done the class :0) I love the Glitter Pot, they have a fantastic selection of stamps including a HUGE collection of Penny Black (my all time fav stamps) lots of beautiful papers, embellishments and everything you can think of really! I am there again next Saturday for a demo and I will be using some fun Whipper Snapper Christmas designs, I cant wait! Try and come along and say "hi" if you do.

Right had better get sorted for my trip. Speak later.

A card!! Don't all leave I made a card!

Seems you cant please everyone, you would think at my age I would realise that already but it is still a lesson to learn. My chatter has put a few people off my blog, Oh well, such is life. If I cant use my blog how I want to then whats the point? You know I chat to my blog like I chat to all my friends, sometimes its interesting, sometimes its not, sometimes I am happy, mostly I might add and other times I am less than happy. Anyway my boys slept a good sleep, but I was worried they would wake so I didnt stamp. However since they both woke and were watching Nick Jr I whizzed upstairs "like super woman" and made this simple card.

This is for all the other super women out there and for all those that want to stay and listen to my c**p sometimes :) I think as a race, all us women are super at times. Most mums are super all the time. Who else would wipe more bottoms than we choose to each day, scoup up cat sick from the pavement (yes that was me this morning YUCK) all the while planning the teas for the week (and I WASNT inspired by the sick LOL) fold the laundry, ect ect ect
HUGS TO THE SUPER WOMEN OUT THERE! May your bottom wipes be few, cat sick be non exhistent and your days wonderful..... Oh yeah da Caz is back! this is the one you know and love isnt it?? MAWH!
About the card : Stamp Da Bella who else?? Flower stamp Elzybells, White ink, Black ink, watercolour pencils, aqua brush, glitter glue, Doodlebug Jewel, Prima Flower, ribbon

Magnolia revisited - Christmas or not?

Magnolias are beautiful and I havent had mine for that long but they were put away and some un-inked so I decided when I took the boys up for bed last night I would go into my room and make a card. I was pleased how it turned out :)

This card could be Christmas, could be everyday... I love the colours.
I have seen this cross done with ribbons on a few blogs, I really liked it. The beautiful flower and star was from a Prima bottle that my mate Kym got for me from Alley Pally, Thanks Kym, they are stunning!
The paper was from Craftwork Cards. And I paper pieced her top and hair ties. Enjoy!

Magnolia Fun

If you have ever looked on my fav blog list you will know I love these stamps. Kim was kind enough to stamp me some images and here is another card I have made using these. I can not wait until I can order some of own of these.

Circle was cut with Cricut at 3", the small scallops were scallop scissors and the large purple circle is using some wave scissors. I also used some ribbon brads, these are from Crafts U Love

I think I will add some wording to this, but I assembled this card downstairs whilst both my boys snore away :) BLISS both boys napping is great!! I know Harvey is 4, but he still does get tired and as its not school for 6 weeks he is bound to go to bed late. So for now this card will stay as it is. I may just leave the words until I know who and for what I am using this card for.

Orange and pink and 3 circles??? are you sure?!

Kim, bless her [said through gritted teeth] threw me a challenge. Orange and Pink colour scheme and including three circles. So here it is. I used one of the Magnolia images that she sent me, I coloured with prismacolour and Sansodor and I used two ribbon brads as one of my circles and the wording as the other. Oh how I had fun colouring these images yesterday, I have two more coloured but not made into cards yet. I cant wait to do them.
So Kim, I did it! Do you likey? I LOVE LOVE those images :) Cant wait to get some of those stamps. They are perfect for me as I just LOVE to colour and these are beautiful to colour.

I got the ribbon brads from Crafts U Love at their birthday weekend. I was demonstrating them and of course I had to buy one of each. There are 2 different colour ways, Bright and Pastel and three different shapes, Stars, circles and flowers. They have a special offer on for them at the moment. If you order them then tell them I sent ya :)

Bella, Brad and Buttons!

Kim challenged me to make a card with bella, Brad and Buttons. I managed to add a cream/browny button and the tarnished button looking thing is a beautiful brad that my secret sis Sherilin brought me :) I also used some lush ribbon and of course the beautiful gardening bella is veggiebella from StampingBella After yesterday mornings struggle with a card I was really pleased with this one. Mind you with beautiful supplies like these it would be hard to make it look bad!!
So Kim, what do ya think? and are you up for another challenge? Maybe we should do something with the Magnolia images you are sending me?

Ha ha Just re read (like I do) my post and I thought the title sounded like a dodgy film!! LOL

Mojo.... is that you?

I think I found it. I obviously just wasnt in the mood for a card. I had to make a pressie for Mrs Cooper, Harveys nursery teacher. So I decorated this tin for her and enclosed some smellie candles and a pritty candle holder. I was pondering the image for the front, but of course it HAD to be a hedgehog as she is Hedgehogs teacher. Looks prittier in real life.

Now I can share the whole card

I felt such a tease, but here is the rest of the pirate card and how it has come in handy today for Harvey has a party and I am giving this to the little boy.
This stamp is just tooooo cute! I love it.... another winner from Stampendous.

Sistahs!

Caiden napping so I managed to put this card together. I never used to like "images" I like the whole process of stamping, colouring, cardmaking as one. But I think its the way to go for me right now. I took my H20's, bella images and waterbrush to bed the other night and coloured a few. So today when Caiden was napping I ran upstairs and put this one together in just a few minutes. As Em would say I hope you likey?

Also wanted to show you some "stash" I got yesterday. As you know shopping ban is on, but I got some money sent to me on paypal so I just had to spend it. I fell in love with this cuttlebug die when I saw someone do something fabby with it and a fella. I will find out who did what with it and show you. Since then I have been longing for it, but not being able to find it in any of the local stockists.

LOL I just re-read the above post and I thought how funny it read about doing something fab with the die and a fella!! LOL for those that dont know, stamping bella has released some great images of men and called them fellas! So its not something I am going to do with Darren :) One of my fella stamps is what I meant!

Bella Box

ABOVE is the BIG view of the box - below are close ups of the sides ect

I have had fun getting all girlie and blingy these last few days. Fitting it in between naps ect and I can finally reveal it. I am not totally happy with it, I feel the front needs "something" else, I might add the word "Caz's" above the bellas . I will re post if I do.

There are a few photos, front sides and back ect. my camera is a bit blurry today, I keep taking new photos and its the same each time. Sorry!

Doodlebug Designs for some of the ribbons, all the jewels and the coloured papers www.theglitterpot.co.uk . Embossing is done using the cuttlebug. The stamps are Stamping Bellas for the girls and Inky Antics for the "Bellas" wording. I coloured using Twinkling H20's again www.theglitterpot.co.uk

This box is being used to store my Bellas. I currently have 16 in there, I figurerd I could fit
loads more. I also at present am storing in there a inkpad, scissors, glue stick and acrylic block in there so I almost have everything ready to go for some stamping fun.

As so often is the case, I do believe this looks nicer in real life, I am terrible at taking photos!
There are more photos in the slideshow to the right of this text.
Enjoy looking and please do let me know what you think!

Seeing ducks...

I joined the bella image swap on the yahoogroup and I chose to stamp "bubblebella". I had to stamp almost 70 and in the middle of stamping these images I started seeing ducks! I am sure Em didnt mean for a duck to be in the bath with Bella, BUT once I had seen it I couldnt get it out of my head, I also couldnt wait to make a card and show you all!! I have coloured the bubble by her leg in yellow, the part that is bellas leg I coloured orange as the ducks bill and doesnt it look cute!!

Image coloured with watercolour pencils and aquabrush. Mounted onto a cuttlebugged card using the bubbles embossing plate, I swiped over this with a brilliance blue ink pad. I cut the edges of the stamped panel with my new toy, the Cutterpede and the scalloped cutting blade, how cute! I cut the wording with the cuttlebug font "you're not the boss of me" and added some pritty ribbon from Hobby Lobby (via Candice), added a flower and a beautiful brad from my NSSS Sherilin. Added two PP also. Once assembled I added glitter glue to the letters and bubbles.

I dont know who this card is for, I guess it could be for all women who tend to keep the world running!! So watch your mail boxes everyone... it might just come your way!

Ladies who lunch!

I stamped, Yipee!! I FINALLY used one of my birthday Bellas. Arent they cute? I also finally used my plasma flowers that I showed you the other week. I punched them and threaded them through the ribbon, they look cute dont they?

Bellas coloured with watercolour pencils and waterbrush. Papers are doodlebug.

Bit of a quick card whilst Caiden was napping, I have to think what I may want and bring it all downstairs so its not anything special, but was pleased to be able to stamp, colour and use my plasmas shapes :)

To see more info on these plasma shapes click on the "plasma" word in my labels list on the right of the screen.

Disney take 2

It took forever to decide what to make next after Minnie, so I thought Chip and Dale were mega cute and they didnt look too hard. I didnt have the right brown for Chip, he is a darker brown and as learnt off the cricut newsletter has a "brown chocolate chip nose" and dale has a pink nose (tee hee a silly little fact I am somewhat and strangely proud of - the fact I know which is which) anyway enough of the strange workings of my mind..... back to the card, yep I decide Dale would be cute, not too hard... well is wasnt hard but it was a BIG frustration as he just kept tearing, changed the settings slightly one way, slightly the next and FINALLY got one that was OK, not perfect by any means but OK.... I think Cricut need to provide paper packs in disney colours that will cut without stress! It took me an hour to cut and piece this one Dale. The card I put together this morning and it is WINDING THE HECK OUT OF ME with the wonky ribbon but when I tried to undo the card I tore a little of the paper so I will just have to learn to love my wonky (artisticly wonky of course) ribbon! And if I cant live with it, I'll have to RAK someone with it!
