Inspired by Karen Burniston's challenge video
I was inspired by Karen Burniston's recent video on the monthly challenge where she showed you how to make a triple pivot card.
You can see her post and the video HERE
I choose the Katie Pivot (my fav) and made this cute little card for my Sister in Law's 50th Birthday. Don't be scared they are sooooooo easy to make.

I used the Cute stamps from Purple Onion Designs
and the wording are dies from Cleary Besotted and were a birthday

Fly - my second card
Well I didn't think I was going to manage it. But I made this card tonight, another one for the Karen Burniston Fly theme. Now this card went in the bin once, but I worked on it a little more and I was happy enough to share it.
All the stamps are from Stampendous from my "stamp stash"
Not sure if they are available still. They are called
Bee Showers N224
Bee flowery 192
Wish Doodle D150
The Flowers are prima, again years and years old.. I mean as old as my kids! LOL
The paper is new and by Bazzill from Crafts U Love and I used the Oval Accordion by Karen Burniston/Elizabeth Craft Designs also
from Crafts U Love for the main card.

Karen Burniston Monthly Challenge "Fly"
Another month has past and another designer challenge and I love to see what all the other designers have done and what their take on the theme is. We will all be posting our projects over the next 2 days.
This month Karen Burniston wrote : The word is "FLY" - how will you interpret it? Use Pop it Ups for a project showing your vision. My post will be on Wednesday, May 21st.
******************************************
So here is my post and my card. I immediately thought of this Penny Black stamp called "Hedgehopper" and using the Karen Burniston/Elizabeth Craft Designs Garden Bench.
The Garden Bench is available from Crafts U Love in the UK at http://www.craftsulove.co.uk/elizabethcraftdesigns.htm
Right back to this months card.
1. Cut the Garden Bench pop up by placing the die onto the centre line of the folded blue card.
2. Stamp woodgrain stamp onto some brown card and again cut the bench, stick this over the blue one.
3. Stamp the "Hedgehopper" onto the blue card using black Versafine and I gave it a quick blast with my heat gun to dry the ink before I used my new Spectrum Noir Pencils for the very first time. Love them BTW.
4. I used the cloud/foliage die from the All season tree to create clouds with white hammer card. Stick in place with 3d pads.
5. Cut a piece of green paper and work out where the bench is going to be cut out. Place the die on the green paper so that the lower half of the bench will be cut out on the paper. Cut the bench parts away and stick the green paper onto the card.
6. Take a piece of red card and using the Agatha Edges cut a piece to decorate the bottom.
7. Stamp wording onto a piece of white card using black ink and cut using one of the
Katie Pivot decorator dies.
8. Stamp one of the Hedgehogs from the Balloon Day stamp in black ink, dry and colour with the pencils. Cut out and stick the hedgehog onto the back of the bench with acetate.
9. Make a folded outer card for the whole card to cover the hole created by the bench.
I hope you have enjoyed this post and you can see the other designers ideas at the links

Cute Critters Accordion Card
I made a card last night with my new pencils, some Purple Onion Designs stamps and the Karen Burniston Fancy Frame Accordion die. It was nice to make a card just for fun as I have been really busy lately making flowers for my nieces wedding so it was nice to make just for me and the sake of playing.
The paper is Bazzill Vintage lace from Crafts U Love
Karen Burniston Dies from Crafts U Love too
Purple Onion Stamp are only available from Purple Onion Designs in USA

Papercraft Essentials Issue 107
Flick to page 73-74 and you might just catch some of my cards.
Unfortunately one of my cards was photographed totally wrong and my pivot was
not turned so you miss the magic of the card which is a real shame. But readers of my blog
will know what the pivot is really supposed to look like.
Nice to have a few cards in print again :)

Harvey's Room Makeover
My brother in law has been living with us for some time and he moved out last week. Operation "Harveys Room" was in full swing this weekend. Harvey being the oldest got to choose which room he had and he chose this one. Caidens room will get a make over next weekend.
This is the room and how it was. We hadn't decorated since we moved in almost 9 years ago.
Harvey is 11 and loves Minecraft so we set about making it a cool Minecraft Inspired room.
Grey paint for the walls, a new carpet and some lovely stone block wallpaper.
Looking good with a new desk and chair, a blind and new bed cover
Lastly with some "Creeper" green curtains that my Mum made and the Vinyl
on the wall that I cut with my Cameo machine. A really fabulous room don't you think?!

Happy 90th Grandad
My Grandad was 90 this past weekend and I made this this little card along with a photo frame of the boys for him to add to his collection of family pictures.
Even the little birds on the front are ready to party with their hats on. As it happened
he didn't want a party or a big fuss but I hope all the cards made his realise how
much he is loved.
Here is the inside of the card with the bunting and of course the obligatory number 90!
The main card is my favourite Katie Pivot from Karen Burniston
The 90 is from Marianne as are the Birds
The Bunting was an old Joy! die
The words were Cottage Cutz
