For this card I have used Punch Bunch and Sweet Summer, actually I used three set as the wording is from the So Happy for you set too!
Here I have made a box and used the largest Stampin Up! circle punch to create
a large hole in which the owl can sit. The owls wings are created by stamping the owl twice and cutting the side parts out to create the wings. By adding the wings it really adds character to these adorable bird. He is firmly my favourite.
The branches are from the Two step bird punch
Also used some of the beautiful buttons from the Brights buttons pack and the Newsprint
Coming in April the owl punch that matches this stamp design.
I hope you enjoy the hop, dont forget Sara's the first and last at Lauralou's (links above)
here are the 4 hops in completion, unfortunately one person from group one has had to drop
out as she isnt well so I have removed her link. LinziM doesnt appear to be working right now
either in group one I know people are having issues with blogger right now
And the year started so well didnt it? since though back to reality of working, school, after school stuff and housework and its getting hard to find time to create or blog.... here are a few things though
here is a little wooden hanging heart - decorated with Penny Black images and Stampin Up! hearts (the white ones)
Harvey's homework this week was to make a Roman shield. Here is what we came up with. It was very
much a group effort with both of us doing stuff on it.
Two cards made using Digi Stamp Boutique images. These are for Caiden's friends Leyton and
Adam who had a joint party.
Another Penny Black card, picture taken last night and light is terrible but I have a busy day
today and doubt I have time to re-take.
Another Penny Black card, she is tooooo cute!
Here is Caiden dressed up as Indiana Jones for a party last week
he looked very cute and very happy to be Indi... he loves all the old films
Indiana Jones, Star Wars and not so old Harry Potter. The boys
Playing with another stamp from the Punch Bunch set. YES this is a fab set and YES you need it!!
Quiet a boyish card. I need a card for one of Caiden's Friends so I might just stamp me up a monster and stick that on here and it will be perfect for a 5 year old boy!
I have made the HB block look like a chocolate cake. Talking chocolate cake, made our first muffins today. They looked lovely but I was disappointed with the taste :( Oh well, not that I need to eat cake!
** edited to add --- change of plan, here is what I did with the card
Here is another stamp from the Punch Bunch SAB set - this time I have left Mr Owl alone and gone for the beautiful flower stamp. I used my piercing tool to create lines, how come they are so straight and well spaced? that was thanks to the nifty mat pack!

Had my first day at home today since Caiden has started full time. He is LOVING it full time and I had a really productive day today too.
Here is a quick card I made using the Sweet Summer Sale-a-bration set. This set is FREE with an order of £45
It has some beautiful flowers, a tiny bee, butterfly and bird and looks beautiful coloured in all sorts of colours. Me with my liking for red/orange decided to use these colours for a fun happy and sunshiney card. Just what we can do in this weather eh?
I have coloured the images in with Ink Pads and the Aqua Painter. Added a few Rhinestones and mounted onto a piece of Sweet & Sour Speciality paper. The words are from another SAB set called "So Happy for You". I did originally have some ribbon on here, but it didnt look right so I took it off.
Righto, off to bed, I was up at 3;30am due to not being able to sleep. Husband woke me at 1.30 by shouting in his sleep (he does that sometimes) and after that I just couldn't drop off again, so ended up downstairs at 3.30 and on facebook at 4am! Funny there weren't many people about that time :)
Its take me a while but I hope you like my cute little project that I have made with YET AGAIN "Mr Owl".
The triangles were bits I had pre cut from my cricut machine.
Mr Owl of course is from the Punch Bunch SAB set - FREE with a £45 order!
The buttons are the brights set from SU!
The hearts along the top are from the Love you Much set from SU
Dotty Papers from the Subtle's Designer Prints Pack
I have stamped in white the flowers from Sweet Summer SAB set but it is hard to see
I have used some Bakers Twine to tie together.
Each Owl has a different face, wings or heart formation on it. it was great fun thinking of the different poses. My favourite has to be the one holding the string of hearts.
At present its hanging in front of the desk I am working on now. It's too cute to hide away!!
Oh no I hear you cry, sorry! this stamp has me all excited and in a stamping mood. However what I am creating is taking longer than a card and I don't want to rush it. maybe I will get it finished tomorrow.
Wanted to add you asked for more tutorials and plenty have downloaded but not one comment!! did you like? hate? what?
I have been busy today making a little tutorial for you and I have uploaded it to my Stampin' Up! website. It is in PDF format and you can go there to the FREE DOWNLOADS page and download it for yourself.
So even though its a simple little project I know some of you like walk through's. I hope you like it.
some more ideas to use with stamp pads. I'm not the world's expert stamper and I stick rigidly to the same colours but I really could do with some ideas as to what to do with ink pads.just to jazz up my card making
Here is a card I just made tonight, fitting for a New Years card I thought. (or any celebration) I have used the cute owl in the SAB set and the point off the star punch to make their cute paty hats. I used the Confetti stamp set to make it look like party confetti.
Hope you have had a great New Year evening.
We have just been watching the fireworks and Chinese Lanterns that are floating past.
