Crazy Christmas

It's a Crazy Bird Sleigh ride here when Tim Holtz Crazy Birds meet Karen Burnistons Gift Card Sleigh.

Last night in my shed was all about play time, just for fun.  Shed time is precious, at most an hour or two in the evenings and mostly its been doing work stuff, or deadline stuff and last night I just wanted a bit of play time. I watched 2 episode of Game of Thrones  and I made this card. All in all a very enjoyable evening, made better since I didn't have to work today so I was able to stay up late and a lay in this morning as I didn't get up until 7.47am!!  This is a huge lay in in this house as my boys are both early birds.

These birds work so well  with anything and bring a smile to your face!
The Sleigh of course works brilliantly with Karen Burnistons character dies
but proof it can work with other things too.

Birthday Card

I made this birthday card a while ago but I am not sure I shared it on my blog before.

I used the Karen Burniston Katie Label Pivot one of my all time favourite dies!  I makes a card look amazing in literally seconds.  You then have the perfect WOW base card to decorate how you wish.  And if you are like me you need last minute cards often.

All the stamps are Peddlers pack and YEARS old I am afraid. Oh apart from the love heart
which I think is a Penny Black or Rubber Stampede.

Merry Christmas

Hi Bloggers,
I have been trying to get this posted for a week now but for some reason my phone will not
upload onto blogger anymore so I had to get a window when the boys were not on the PC.

Today I am sharing a card I made using the Karen Burniston Merry Christmas Pop up which you
can find at Crafts U Love HERE for a great price of £14.99!! or from Elizabeth Craft Designs HERE

I have also use the coming soon Gift Card edger die and cut this in half to decorate
both the top and bottom of the card design.

What a beautiful Merry Christmas script eh?  I love it.
And just look at that dimensional banner a bottom (swoon)

Papers are from My Minds Eye - Cozy Christmas Collection
and the Gingerbread was an older die from Cottage Cutz.

I'll be back soon with something else I am sure!!

Christmas Demo

Crafts U Love's Christmas demo was last Saturday and once again honored to be asked to demo for them.

I used Hero Arts stamps, Ombre Inks and some Memory Box and Poppy Stamps die and stamp sets.

Here are some of my favourite cards

Using the Sizzix Treat Bag topper I made this cute snowman soup using the Hero Arts
Tree and Poppy Stamps snowmen

This one a mix of the Snowmen and Trees again

This one is Memory Box

This one my absolute fav by Memory Box

And a few others with Hero Arts Stamp set for the wreaths and the
Memory Box snowmen and snowglobe.

I made many more cards and I will try to take a photo of all of them and
pop back soon.

Karen Burniston - Designer Challenge - Characters in Costumes - Day 2

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's me again back with my second designer challenge card for this month.  So many gorgeous characters to choose from and so many possibilities. I was inspired for this design by one of my favourite Penny Black stamps.  The stamp has a cute cat dressed as a Bee.

So here is Whiskers with its lovely stripy yellow and black jumper and beautiful wings that I made using the butterfly from the Butterfly Pivot.  I also used the antenna to place on Whiskers head.  For the card I  used the Rectangle Pull card as a sort of stand up card.  Hard to explain in words but I simply placed the die onto a piece of card stock that was NOT folded and I made the fold where the die scores, so it just makes the rectangle piece stand tall.  I folded the card and trimmed the bottom so it was the same size.

Elizabeth Craft Designs have a great offer on at the moment so if you are in the States you
might want to check that out.  HERE

Those in the UK can purchase Karen Burniston dies from Crafts U Love

Tomorrow Karen Burniston will be posting her design on her blog, I will link that tomorrow.

For now check out the AMAZING talent on the links on the LEFT  <---- font="" for="" my="" nbsp="">

I would love to see your characters dressed up.

Karen Burnistons October Designer Challenge - Characters in Costume

Hey Bloggers.  It's that time again and its a great challenge this month (aren't they all).  This month it is Characters in Costume and I believe that the team have excelled themselves this month.

My first designer challenge card was a handy one to make as I needed a card for a friend of Harvey's and I needed to do the challenge card.  So Henry, I hope you liked this SUPER rabbit!  I styled Lucky the rabbit with a cape and mask and he turned out rather super if I don't say so myself.  Amazing what you can achieve with these dies and a pair of scissors.

I teamed Lucky up with the Gift Card Accordion which was great as a Game gift card was the gift :)

Here you can see that I created a three panel accordion with the main
decoration on the front, the gift card in the centre and more decoration with stamps on the last panel.

Here you can see Lucky in all his super clobber!

Lucky and the Accordion will be available from Crafts U Love in the UK
as soon as they come into stock.  I will keep you updated via the blog when they are in stock.

I also used the Tim Holtz Bam word stamps.

As usual check out the amazing talent on the left hand side where my fellow dt have
been creating some fantastic cards.

Till tomorrow
