Happy Anniversary

Today is my anniversary.  16 years ago we visited the beautiful island of St Lucia on our 11th year of being a couple we got married.  So that's a whopping 27 years!

I LOVE you Darren x

I used the Karen Burniston Hanging Charm pull card and her gorgeous happy frog.  I am not sure why a frog when I think of my hubs. 😂😂

Karen Burniston - Designer Challenge - The Great Outdoors - part 2

Hi Friends
I am back again with my second item for the Designer Challenge this month and I decided to make a card.  First to choose what my outdoorsy theme would be and I decided to use Poppy the Owl and the new Through the Lens paper pad from Els at Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Designer Challenge - April - The Great Outdoors

Hi Crafters
I am here today with Aprils Challenge from Karen Burniston and this months brief was :
The Great Outdoors - create any sort of outdoor scene.

I was feeling a bit adventurous the other night and I fancied making a canvas to hold a photo.  As the theme was great outdoors I was looking at some photos I had from walks around the beautiful places in Surrey that we visit and I found this lovely one of Harvey from a recent (ish) walk to Reigate Priory.

I started with the canvas and swiped the Tim Holtz Crayons on it, spritz with water and then rubbed with fingers and made a nice background with lots of Autumnal colours.

I decorated the canvas with the following :
Karen Burniston All Season Tree for the tree, leaves and clouds*
Elizabeth Crafts Through the Lense Wood Paper Pack

* for the clouds I used the die to create a stencil to wipe the white
crayon through.

Reason for making a canvas, well we always make stuff for others and I wanted to make something for myself, something I could hang in our home.
Don't worry, Caiden has one coming real soon!

I used buttons and string to finish it off. And I really enjoyed making something a bit different for me, as much as I was tempted to add a critter on the frame somewhere, I resisted and let the trees and photo be the main focus.

I will be back tomorrow with another Great Outdoors creation, most probably a card, I have not decided yet.

Don't forget the check out the links on the LEFT  <---------- font="">

Until tomorrow

Happy Birthday Card

My niece Leanne is 30 tomorrow but had a party  down on the farm she lives on lady night.

Busy day yesterday as I worked all day.  Then off to the cinema to see  The Jungle Book which was great by the way. And then to the farm for a fancy dress party. 80's style.

Back to the card.  I used Cocoa the horse from Karen Burniston and the fence also from Karen Burniston to decorate the folded card which I created from a Jen Long die.  My niece has 2 horses so I felt the decoration fitted 😀

Cocoa and the fence can be purchased from Crafts U Love or Elizabeth Craft Designs.

I suppose I had better share us in fancy dress.  I was just in 80s neon. The other 3 80's  films.   Et, The Shining and Ghost busters 😁  can't say we are not game for a laugh  🙂

I'm a great aunty

I became a great auntie Saturday and as soon as I found out Sunday I got making a baby card.

I used the Karen Burniston Oval Landscape accordion die  and Taylored  Expressions Hippo Birdy stamps.

It was lovely to use Pink and make this cute card to welcome baby Imogen.   Congratulations Nephew Robert, Emma and Big Sister Ruby. X xx

Meet Crafty

I have a visitor to my crafty palace.  Sometimes in the day, mostly at night.

I've named him Crafty, not very inventive.  But he's a beautiful  looking fox who I think lives just behind us.

I think the reason  he was on my shed roof last night was I had had my heating on for a few hours and heat rises. So a snuggling little fox.  ☺

And here's a fox card I made recently.

Under the weather

With so many sick bugs around right now they'll  be no shortage of use for this card.

I used the Penny Black stamp for the main image and a new Marianne die for the border.
