Karen Burniston February Challenge - Cutesy or Artsy?

I'm back with the second day of the Karen Burniston February Challenge and I today I have made a "Cutesy" design.  I have hundreds of stamps and yes, new ones come out and you want to buy them all, but for this card I decided to dig through some really old designs and make the most of the space that the Rectangle Accordion brings.

The Rectangle Accordion really does pack a punch space wise and has a lovely
area to work on.

Instead of using any edges with this I simply cut the rectangle accordion
pages from cream card and then again using patterned paper.  I then cut out the
centres of the patterned paper and just used the frames to decorate and strengthen the cards.

For the front of the card I used the postage stamp die from the Rectangle Pull die
and some little flags from the Lots of Pops die too just to add another colour accent to it. I love the splash of blue among the pink.

All the Karen  Burniston dies are from Crafts U Love

Other materials used :

House Mouse Stamps
Clearly Besotted stamps for the heart sprinkles and the
heart cookie inside & all the words

Karen Burniston - February Challenge - Arty or Cute?

Hi Bloggers
Its that time of the month again and time to show off my latest creations for the Karen Burniston Designer Challenge and this months theme is : Artsy or Cutesy - Which way will you go?

I expect you all thought I would go Cutesy since that is what I love, But I do enjoy a challenge and wanted to see if I could do something that would pass as "Artsy".

I brought out a stack of older stamps, most of these are Penny Black and I teamed it up with the "Accordion Fancy Label" from Elizabeth Craft Designs and designed by Karen Burniston.
Lots of over stamping, a bit of distressing, an inspiring word, a crown and a sprinkle of chunky glitter.

Come back tomorrow for a squeeky cute card made using some of my
favourite old house mouse stamps and another accordion die.

The new and older Karen Burniston dies are in stock at Crafts U Love
