Karen Burniston - Designer Challenge - a simpler design

Whilst I don't usually do very elaborate cards, neither do I do super simple.  But this card could be made reasonably quickly and could be even quicker with a simple printed sentiment.

Here I have used CHILLY the delightful Penguin
and the trees die from  OUTDOOR EDGES set.
Those eagle eyed amongst you might spot that I also used the hills
dies from the same OUTDOOR EDGES and sponged in a light blue
to create snow drifts.

The leaves are from ALL SEASONS TREE
and I made the label shape that the text is stamped on
using the AGATHA EDGES

All of course from the very wonderful Karen Burniston and Elizabeth Craft Designs

Karen Burniston - Designer Challenge - Holidays in July

This month our challenge was "JULY 14-15th - Christmas in July - (or Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa) Let's get everyone excited about the new dies by inspiring their holiday cards."

So here is my card for today and I will have another one tomorrow.

I have a confession to make.  I took this photo a while ago when I made the card and I didn't take a photo of the front at the time and I can't for the life of me find my card anywhere.  Thank goodness I had taken a picture of the front.  The card is made using the Evergreen Pivot die set.  As always Karen always thinks about her die design and included with the Evergreen Pivot are a heap of fantastic decorations.

So as well as the main pivot part that gives you three beautiful evergreen trees
you get decorator dies for those trees that have some beautiful embossing detail.
You also have a collection of decorations for the trees.  Stars and baubles.
Also a gorgeous little present too to put under the tree :)  See, so well thought out.

As soon as I saw this die for some reason I thought of a cute Mimi stamp by Penny Black
called "Mimi and Chilly".    So here is my card.  Although in essence it is simple enough
to do, the details in it made it take a little longer.  So tomorrow I will bring you a simpler
card that you could knock a batch up to get your card making done in a quicker time.

I hope that one day I find out exactly where I put this card!! So annoying.

I will be back tomorrow with a simpler card.  But this one would make a lovely card
for someone special :)

Buzzing Bee Birthday Card

Today's card is a card I made for a friend.  I loved this Sizzix bee as soon as I saw him,.  Tooooooo cute.

I used the Karen Burniston SPIRAL PULL CARD which is out
Mid July at I will be demoing this at Crafts U Loves demo
event on 26th July

Here is the inside of the card - you can see the spiral inside and the pretty flowers cascading
out from the inside :)

Card for my nephew

It was my nephew kierans birthday yesterday and although I had remembered earlier in the week the day was suddenly here and it was like eeekkk! So I grabbed a few things yesterday morning and made it in my lunch 1/2 hour.  Despite the rush it turned out cute.

I used joy card base.  Marianne phone and frog.

Meet Hoppy..

I've got two Hoppy cards for you today.  I feel a bit like Hoppy at the moment, its a busy time of year with kids holiday and end of school looming for Harvey.  There are lots of things happening at school and after school too and of course me being me find myself offering to make a 30 person, 4 flags per person bunting, Props for photo booth.  Then there are teachers and ta gifts too.  Also an order for 15 teacher gifts and I am a busy Hoppy girly that's for sure.  I would much prefer being active though so its all good :)

Hoppy I thought would make a wonderful witches frog and here Hoppy is cooking up a storm.
No "leg of frog" in this spell though.  Hoppy very much would like to keep his!

I used the Katie Label pivot for this one :)

For my next card I used the "Ring Accordion" and dressed Hoppy up in her finest bow and
best "lippy"  Waiting for her prince maybe??

LOVE those little flies that are part of the "Hoppy" die set.

These characters really are fabulously funny to make
and so easy too :)

Hoppy, Poppy and Chilly along with the Ring Accordion
and a tonne of other awesome dies will be available
Middle July onwards at Crafts U Love in the UK
and other places worldwide.
