Crafts U Love demo day

Yesterday Crafts U Love launched their new paper room and classroom and we a had a demonstration event to celebrate.  Here are some photos of the cards I made.  Haven't had time to adjust photos so they aren't the best.

Beautiful Hero Art scene stamp - this went down a storm!

I LOVE this Mimi card :)  I cut her off her bauble and added her

to this Marianne star circle die.

Using STAMP AND BOND powder and glitter this

proved a huge hit.

To share from Saturdays fun classes at the Glitter Pot... Oh what fun we had, lovely bunch of ladies and very productive we were ;0) Blogger drives me nuts with the photo and text editing as I wanted to write about each card but its playing about so I will just tell you there were some fluffles, changito, hero and Forever Friends stamps used... The spiral was the inside of the card with the teddy on. bit of a WOW inside ;0)

What a hoot!

I had my candle and box class at Crafts U Love yesterday and we decorated a candle and box with the cute Hero Arts Owls set. As the candle was taller I had to make a different container for it, so I decided to make a bag/box. Turned out cute.

Paper added to candle to decorate and this would be removed BEFORE lighting!

Classes are always fun there and whats even better is that you get 10% off everything used in the class if you purchase that day so its worth coming along to get discount off items and of course have a fun time with crafters and learn something too.

** edited to add I found out today who the lady is who is believed to have created this fantastic box in a bag project. Now I have changed the sizing and added a little extra folded bit at the top. But it was a very clever lady called Diana Gibbs who brought this fab thing to blogland! Thanks Diana... Wanted to give credit to her as usually you never find out who "invented" these things.

A little rub and its all better

Oh if only everything in life would get better with a little rub. While other things might be going pearshaped for me at the moment, I have a few little things that are making me go "hmmmmmmmm" and pout a little but after 2 days of trying to take some photos of my 2 newest cards all it needed was a little rub to make it better. Turns out the "supernatural glow" my cards had been having were not anything to worried about, a rub on the lense made it all make sense. The drool and fingerprints of Caiden rubbed off and now I have brighter photos!

So here they are..... using my favourite stamps from the Newest Penny Black release. This is My Bengal... he is too cute is he not? You know me and Orange have a "thing" going on. SO I dug out my brightest Orange H20's, my Pumkpin pie card and papers and made these two bright and zingy cards.

This little lovely was as I said, coloured with H20's, the white frame was a delish frame I got from the Glitterpot and its by Craftwork Cards. They look just as scrummy white and teamed up with bright colours as they do inked and chalked. The Flower is a prima, the button from Eternal Maker and the Butterfly another cutie stamp from Penny Black.

I went into my Palace last night for about a hour or more... just for fun, just for me and it was great! So here is the second card I made using this stamp.

A sunny card for a gloomy day (weather wise) The paper is the Pumkpin Pie Designer prints paper from Stampin Up!, the cardstock too... Friend word circle is a Hero Arts stamp and again the flower is a Prima from The Glitter Pot (sold out but coming in again - hey get in the queue I wanna more of these babies) The ribbon is Certain Celery from SU.

Phew..... all posted.. two cards just for fun, that made me very happy last night! I got a cold butt making these... why? Coz I was in my jammies and didnt turn the heater up, only realised it was cold when I got back into the house that was warm. Mad eh?

Its been a while

even my Husband said to me "you havent blogged since Sunday" LOL See I have a fan in him! More like he wants to see what I have been up to, and what I have been buying!

Been busy this week with Mum, she has been staying here since Sunday and is going to move into her new place tomorrow. Shes not looking forward to it, its another step and its hard. Its been lovely having Mum here, shes like the cleaning fairy and my front room and kitchen has never looked so tidy and also just being here with Caiden meant I could get on with things, take Harvey to school on my own and just things like that make a difference. We're trying to win the lottery this weekend so we can buy a house with a granny annex!

So onto show you what I made for my class on Wednesday night, it was a lovely evening, very relaxed and chatty and just what I needed as I had a stressful day with Caiden not napping and then being extra grouchy!!

I have also used Cuttlebug fonts for the lettering, cuttlebug swiss dots folder and the flowers are cuttlebugged and handcut too!

I had hoped I would be updating you with further "shedscapades" but alas, nothing since the call last week. It's 4 weeks on Monday since I ordered it so I might just be getting on the phone next week to just see what is happening. So my visions of having my hubby painting and wiring all day for Mothers Day (this Sunday) are dashed. Oh well, he will have an IOU for the work, I am not worried about a pressie, but him promising a days work in my shed will be more than worth it.

I am going to see Harveys assembly this afternoon, not really sure what it is about, although we suspect it with have a Mothers Day/Parents element to it. So there is a proud mummy moment coming up.

SO onto what I have been buying... Hmmm well, I did happen to come home with the stunning Hero Arts catalogue and 3 CC designs stamps too.

I have made my Mum a card and I will post that below too. Its not your usually Mumsie Mothers Day card, not all flowery or lovey but it says it all and Mum loves owls so its very fitting for her.

Todays Demo cards

I was demoing at Crafts U Love and had fun using the paint palettes, Hero Arts christmas cat, dog and giraffe stamps and the fun Pixle and Pookie stamps from Stampendous. Also added doodlebug papers, white fun flock, glitter and a few other bits and pieces.

Had a lovely day there, lots of people to say Hello to, faces I recognise and friends popping in too. After that reality check with a trip to Tesco to get the food shopping. Came home to a bomb site!! wasnt expecting much more.... Did I tell you what time my husband got in last night? Hmmmm I expect he felt bad all day, not bad in that he shouldnt have got in late, I mean bad hungover bad!

Watched Ugly Betty last night... wasnt expecting that at the end! :(

Yesterdays card

I dont know what was up with blogger last night but it wouldnt let me post anything. So here is the card I made yesterday. I managed to sneek a little birdy into the card.

Materials Used : Hero Arts Bird, Stampin Up! Flourishes, Penny Black flowers, White Brilliance Ink Pad, Black Versafine, Stream Adirondack dye Ink Pad, Water Brush, Prismacolour Pencils and Gamsol eqivalant, narrow black pen, ribbons

How To :

1/Stamp bird with ink and colour lightly with prismacolour pencils, blend with stumps and sansodor liquid.

2/Stamp flowers image with dtream dye ink and lightly colour using the aquabrush to make the outline run.

3/Stamp white flourishes onto blue bazzill base card

4/Take length of ribbon and tape to back of white card, wrapping around the front of the stamped panel, take smaller length of ribbon in different shade and tie this onto orginal ribbon.

5/Make photo corner by shaping a triangle of cardstock. Mount white card onto basecard and then add photo corner. Add detailing to outside of white card using the narrow black pen.

Sorry, I could never resist a pun on words.... so finally I went up and looked at my card. I kinda liked it, kinda didnt so I chopped it some and was happier. I think this card looks nicer in real life than it does the photo. The colours are a weird choice of mix, but I like them, I maybe should have added more pink to the birds, but I didnt know I was going down the pink route until I was there. I still want to play with this set more, perhaps when I am feeling more creative I will do better. Thanks for looking.
