Sleeping squirrel Needle Felt

Yesterday I made my first sleepy squirrel.  I followed a video tutorial by serafina fibre art.   Mid way through project I hit the "oh no it's rubbish" stage which most of my felties reach.   But I carried on and pleased to say I was happy at the end.

I love this craft.  Just need more time!   It's very frustrating ATM.

Beautiful Butterflies

Today I'm here with last weeks Create and Take.   I used the Elizabeth Craft Designs Bugs and Butterflies clear stamp set and the Marianne Designs Heart Embossing Folder.

Felted Woodland Whimsies (photo heavy)

You may recall I started needle felting in December, just after Christmas and its fair to say I have fallen head over heels for this new to me craft.

I have been having an amazing time playing, learning and generally collecting and loving the fluff!

Below I will show off some of my recent makes and I warn you there might be quiet a few!  This is not replacing my Paper Crafting, and I do hope I don't loose too many likers, but hey, I might gain a few too.

Anyone want to get into Needle Felting I would Highly recommend a company called The Makerss at www.themakerss.co.uk    Their range of Wool and accessories are fabulous, they are friendly and fast.  I only share this information as when you start a new hobby it can be hard to know where to start, and yes you make the wrong choices along the way, but I truely think with The Makerss you will miss this out and just get the best.

Type in CAZ10 for a super duper 10% off, this is my own "Friends of Caz" code, how lucky am I? :)

Bandit is my first Blue Tit that I made.  This was made
using my Monthly Kit from the Makerss.  This kit includes the
legs, eyes, wool and instructions the link is HERE

Here is a mouse that I called Mrs Jangles, she was coming on holiday
with us to Spain and I also made her using a monthly kit :)

This mouse was a present made for a work colleagues birthday.
It was very hard to part with this little guy!.

This is Bobbin, my first Robin, made using my
Monthly Makers Kit.

Chip, my cookie loving mouse.  These mice are
super addictive to make and over the summer holidays I had
2 friends round over different days to make their very first creations.  It
was great fun and I would love to improve and eventually teach this locally.

This was my first Fairy that I made in Spain,
again using the instructions and kit from The Makerss.

Fig was made in Spain and sat under the Fig Tree.

Three little mice!  Part of the fun is working out what
props you are going to give them.

This was Septembers kit!  I am so excited for next
months kit as it is Hedgehogs and Toadstools.

In Spain I mas missing Milo, so I made a mini one!

Mr Jangles Turned up (was made) in Spain too!

This is the Professor that I made for my Uncle.

And lastly a pug that I made for a work colleague who was leaving :(

There are more, but I thought I had better stop.

Right, its a busy day today, my day off, but much to do.
Create and Take card needs to be made now.

Paper Pros September

Hi Friends
Its been a long time!  I apologise for that, I have been busy and  making the card for work, I have been needle felting and making Pop up cards for my classes coming up at Crafts U Love but just not posted on here.

Whilst my time with the Karen Burniston Design team has ended, I am still part of the Paper Pros team, which is a group of crafters who met on the Karen Burniston DT, we love her designs, and whilst using her dies as a starter point, we are of course allowed to add in anything we want as its a "Just for Fun" challenge.

That said, I did in fact only use Karen's new collection for this card.  The theme was HALLOWEEN and I was dying to play with the new designs.

The new dies are either IN STOCK or ON PRE ORDER
at Crafts U Love.

And here is the main part of my card as a whole.

I used the Floating Floor that is part of the House Die set
to mount my Halloween Scene on, from that same die set I cut
the spooky Branch and Spider web.
I then further decorated with the
Pumpkin, BOO!, Ghosts and  Hand from the Halloween Elements.

As usual Karen Burniston has all these fantastic dies on her website
and she also has fabulous videos for all of these dies too.

Until next time!  I might actually post a Needle Felt post now.  Whilst I am in a blogging mood.
