Busy times

It's busy this time of year for most crafters. Myself included.  I've been in my bat Cave again making my bats.  Picture attached and I am also planning a Christmas table at Harvey's school making snowman soup, reindeer soup and other bits and bobs.  Also getting ready at work for Nec. (Picture of board in progress)

Any of you do Christmas tables? What will you be making?

Crafts u love Christmas Demo

Yesterday I had a lovely time at work.  Demonstrating during their Christmas event.  I Really do enjoy demonstrating and only get a couple of times a year to do it. So i make the most of it.  Lots of lovely customers cane along.  Lovely to see so many familiar faces.

I Was demonstrating the Marianne Designs "snowy window" and used many things behind the window.

Here above i used the marianne tree, Deep Red snowman stamp and memory box precious hearts.

This one is using the window, memory box precious hearts. And the Marianne brick embossing folder.   This cute snowman was made using Deep Red rubber stamps.

More to follow.

Octobers Karen Burniston Challenge

Wow where does time go?  Another challenge month is upon us and this months challenge was "Make it Manly! - cards for the men and boys in our lives."  I usually use humour and a cute image for most of my men's card.  I am not into the traditional men's cards with football or golf on, suppose I am for the right person but certainly my husband isn't really into any of those stereotypical types.

This month I have used the "Katie Label Accordion" die to make this two page card.  I also used the "Katie Frame Stars" too.  Teamed up with some funny Penny Black and Hampton Arts LOL stamps.
I would definitely send this to my husband!  He is 2 years older than me and I don't let him forget it.

I think also the colours can help with making a male card and I used Black and Kraft to make it look more masculine.

A little humour goes a long way!

I hope you like the card I made this month.
It was very much a last minute thing (opps I forgot) and I am pleased how it turned out.

Welcome Sophie

One of my school mum friends had a baby girl the other week, I was very naughty getting the card to her but finally got it made last night and handed to her this morning.

I used the New Karen Burniston/Elizabeth Craft Designs  "Honey Bear" and gave Honey the pink treatment to make it perfect for a New Baby card :)

These new dies should be in at Crafts U Love in the next week or two. Along with Dutch the fox and the fabulous Happy Birthday die I used for my last card.

Here is a close up of Honey

What does the fox say?

I made this card for my brother way back in August but I haven't been able to share until the dies were realised and they were released this past weekend at the Collins show in the USA.

On this card I used "Dutch" the fox and the Happy Birthday pop up.

Dutch is such a great fox and true to Karen Burnistons style so simple to make with the larger
layer behind to mount all the pieces on, less fiddle and more fun!

The Happy Birthday pop up is fab isnt it?!  The Happy Birthday
layer in the set can of course be used on its own too.

It seems that this fox is all about saying Happy Birthday :)

Also Dutch is wearing the party hat from Props 2 another great set.
Hopefully coming soon to Crafts U Love.
