Hello

Its me again, not much been happening this end really.  A little bit of crafting, but with the kids on school holidays and me working there seems not to be any time.  Here are a few quick pics of quick cards and creations.

A cute bear set I got off a facebook second hand craft selling page :)

A bunting I made : Bugaboo Digital Image

A House Mouse stamp I got from the same Facebook board

Caiden went to a party and I made the Birthday Boy a pirate bunting for him room.
I was laughing about the fact the Christopher was such a long name!! Hard to fit on the door
to take a picture.  Lets hope Christopher has room in his bedroom.

Oh and this isnt something I made, but Mums friends friend made.  A lovely
Butterscotch Tart :)  Took me back to school days!

Today, Friday its my day off work.  Not sure what me and the boys are doing.  We'll probably
pop out somewhere later but no firm plans.

Enjoy your Friday!

Work colleagues birthday

I made this for Paula in despatch.  She is not a cardmaker but she has pointed out several times in the shop that she likes the comical ones.  I have used this very old Penny Black design that we've just got into work and I have had for umpteen years so it was nice to dust it off.  I have added the Skull and Crossbuns bunting stamp to the washing like.

Crafts U Love Demo

I was demoing at Crafts U Love today demonstrating the Fiskars stamping wheels.  Here are some of the cards and creations I made.

I got a lot of help surfing the web and getting inspiration from the talented Fiskars DT.  So thanks
ladies for that.  You can see the wheels HERE

A little birdie told me...

It was my work colleague, Tracy's birthday Monday so I made her this card using a bunch of different bits and bobs.  These stamps are just 99p each! .  The punch is a Martha Stewart  called Woodland Branch. And a few little stamps from a Woodware set (the branch and words) called Birdsong.

SHow me sunday is still running, please leave a link to your craft area before this Sunday to win a ME TO YOU RUBBER STAMP and CARD CANDI from Craftwork Cards.

Special card for a special person

I made this card for my Mum who's birthday it was yesterday.
I made the same sort of card that my friend Suzie Q made me for my birthday last month.

Went to Ikea yesterday and got a new table and some metal drawers and had another change about in
my crafty palace.

So now I have an L shape to work on and a bit more room :)

Peppermint Polly

How adorable are the new range of stamps from Penny Black.  I am loving their new artist.  I hope we get many stamps from her.

She has been coloured in with copics, Stampin Up! ribbon that I have ruffled up, a beautiful orange flower, twine, buttons and jewels.  about all my favourite things in one card :)

Caiden isn't well so I will keep this post short as I am off to bed early, never know how much sleep I might get!

Magical

Adorable Mimi image from Penny Black
Coloured with watercolour pencils. I did spray the stamped panel with glimmer mist but it
did not show up in the photograph.
The button is from Stampin' Up!
All the rest including stamp, paper and twine is from Crafts U Love
The sentiment is part of a bigger one.  I just chose to use this part.

Off to work today.  Then home later to make some Monkey Bread for tomorrow
its a BIG day tomorrow ! GULP

Monochrome Card

I made this card for the Monochrome Craft Challenge at Cupcake Craft Challenge blog.  Also for samples for my demo table this Saturday at work where I am playing with Penny Black stamps! :)

Here is an "almost Monochrome card"  just two colours on this one.

Stamps are from the Mimi in paris set from Penny Black.  I thought this elegant paper looked good with these stamps.  Not something you would usually do but I felt it worked.  The paper happens to have this ornate frame on it.  Which I stamped Mimi with Poodle on and then I stamped again onto card and coloured and cut out.

Hope you like.

School Holidays

Kids have mostly been with nanny and me mostly working.  Poor Caiden was sick for 4 days.  Thankfully he has perked right up now but its horrible for them when they are ill during their week off.

Here is another owl card made using the lovely Woodware stamp set.

Went out geocaching today.  Found 5 and we are all worn out!  A lot of walking, least my feet were warm and dry in my wellies :)

My first love

Penny Black was my first love in stamping and I still love their designs.  Here I have used a cute hedgehog from a clear set and popped him inside a clear treat cup from Stampin' Up! with some little beads as "shakers".  The sentiment and leaves and flowers are Stampin' Up! too.  The heart border is Martha and the cute little hearts from Quixotic Paperie.

I am thrilled to be teaching and demoing with some brand new Penny Black stamps at work, so please book your place to be creating with these adorable images.

Been a hard week with work being SOOOO busy and Harvey not being well
I am very tired but pleased I managed this card :)

End of year Ramblings

So here we are again, New Years Eve.  All in all 2010 not a bad year but here's an even better year for all of us in 2011.

This afternoon I picked my Mum up and we went back here to have some new years nibbles and play some games ect, it was lovely.  Kids enjoyed showing Nanny how good they were on the XBox game that she had brought for Caiden for Christmas.  We played old fashioned games, a word game which was good fun.  They played a beetle game with a dice, which I missed out on as I was getting  all the food ready.

Salad, Ham, Chicken Nuggets, Crisps, Vol au Vents, Sausage Rolls and the most lovely (if I might say so)  Cupcake that we made yesterday but decorated today.  The sponge was lovely and the topping... well I will let you see yourself.  We made it using the Big Top cake mould from JML.  Didn't turn out as big as expected but non the less it was very tasty, and to be honest it was big enough.  We had a slice each (there were 6 of us) and we still have half the cake left.

This morning I managed to make a couple of little projects showcasing the SAB (Sale-a-Bration but too long winded to type that so from now on will be refered to as SAB)   sets.

I hope you all have a lovely New Years eve xxx

Not long now

And are you ready??   I have done very well this year with the old pressie buying and feel in control, and its a good job too seeing as we have had our second dump of snow for December and now of course everything will be made much harder.

As the big snow wasn't here first thing yesterday I drove to work, it was a little snowy from the day before and icy but I got to work in good time and safe.  On the way into Charlwood village I managed to get up Stanhill which is the tricky road but all the while it was snowing harder and harder.  I got to work, called Paula the owner and she said to keep an eye on the snow.  About 20 minutes later I had to call to tell her it was chucking it down and I thought I had better go back home.  So the drive that took me 40 minutes there, took me 2 hours on the way back!

After a couple of cups of tea and then lunch I went out with the boys and we made our rather fun snowman.

Disco ball eyes, lego brick nose and a candy cane for his mouth.  This is standing outside our front door and greeting everyone in and out.  Darren came out a bit later and we had a family snowball fight which was good fun, no tears, not even from me who had a bra full of snow that slipped down my coat and tops!

Also been making a start, yes I said start! on my Christmas cards.

A few of these

a few of these

And two of these, one each for Harvey and Caidens teachers.  The kids break up Tuesday, but I think it highly unlikely that they will be back in this week with the snow.  Good job I took all the gifts in on Friday.

Still making a few more.  I expect they will be Happy New Year cards by the time I finish.

Have a good Sunday
