On a roll

Another card already!

Here is another card for a challenge blog, this time is the Saturday Challenge blog
and their challenge is "In the Farmyard".

Also a "everything goes" challenge at  Allsorts Challenge Blog.

I googled "cow image" then clicked on Clipart and then found this image at www.timtim.com which is a colouring website.  Then googled Vegetable background and found the paper background.  The wording is an old Elzybells stamp from years back and the die cuts are the labels from a Nestie set and a Nellies Frame (the hearts) from work.

I coloured it with Copics and added some Olive Flock.

Hope you like it, it was fun to make. :)

Two to share

Well that was a productive day by Sunday's standards. I went food shopping this morning, then sorted out lunch, took Harvey to a party at 3pm and then set to making a few cards, all whislt cooking the Sunday roast and sorting the washing out too... good job us women are good at multi tasking eh?

I have had a few new things to show you. I love the Sugar Nellie Leanne Ellis stamps.. I love a lot of the Sugar Nellie stamps but Leanne Ellis ones are too cute to resist. Now I was a good girl with the Gorguss Girls, I would have loved to get them all but couldnt afford the price for the set, but I got a little payment on my paypal account which meant I could treat myself to the new Leanne ones instead. Gorguss Girls will follow I am sure but I still deciding which I really really want. So for this card I used lots of my fav yummies.
Firstly of course is the lovely stamp, once I mounted it on the EZ mount it stamps beautifully. I took this image to bed last night and coloured with my pro markers, always a bit of a challenge as the light from the bedside lamp is terrible! Anyway, I made this with some of my SU goodies, lovely cardstock in Bashful Blue and Chocolate chip, as well as paper from the Summer Picnic collection. The flower is one of the beautiful Die Cut Blooms from SU and its of course in Bashful blue (see SU and their perfect matched items) The wording circle is one of the lovely brown message circles from Craftwork Cards, you can't see but it is foiled with gold writing.

My second card is made using the adorable stamps from DO crafts. Now these stamps are fantastic value with the kit of stamps costing just £5.99 when you get the stamps out the packing you think "ohhh these feel weird" and then maybe you might worry that they wont stamp well. Thats exactly what I felt like, BUT all fears were put to bed once I stamped them as they stamped really well. The papers I have used are Stampin' up! the red flower is from the blooms cuts and the spotty flower is Craftwork Cards. The Tulle is from Crafts U Love and last but not least the stamps are from The Glitter Pot.
This card is actually very red but the colours havent come out right.

I am going to see if I can get another card made before Lost is on.... OMG I am totally hooked and look forward to Sunday nights Lost fix.

Two cards to share

Both very different. There is another downloaded cutie from Pollycraft and a Sugar Nellie stamped card.

Again I used a printed download and lashes of Craftwork Cards goodies and of course my beloved scallop circle punch.

This Sugar Nellie card uses one of the other Leanne Ellis stamps, there are 6 in total, 3 of the cute designs and 3 of these more arty ones. I actually like them both, no scrap that, love them both but I find the cuter ones easier to use, but enjoyed the challenge to make a more "grungey" card.

Show and tell

This card was one of the spinner cards we made at Crafts U Love yesterday - I used fluffles stamps that can be brought from them at www.craftsulove.co.uk

A few more notepads to show and tell and thanks for all the feedback re these ;0) More girlie ones and a few boy ones too. I have really enjoy dusting off my Sugar Nellie stamps and my Bellas too and breaking in my stamposaurus stamps too. I know lots of people love the new Sugar Nellie stamps but I am not into the more recent ones (no disrespect just not my style) I love their Nellie and Luca and I CANT WAIT for the new ones coming in the new year!! Check it out www.sugarnellie.blogspot.com as they have some amazing new artists joining them.
Craft Fair is tonight.. I am selling the notepads for £1 and I think I will lower the prices of the reindeer food and poop to 50p...
Fingers crossed for me... these things have a habit of going terribly and in which case I will be coming back and selling them off my blog!! LOL
See ya

Darren always breathes a sign of relief when I say

know those new stamps... well I dont really want many of them. WHOO HOO! he says... inside his head no doubt.. Yes dear he says outwardly LOL I am always talking stamping with him, I think he is glad I have the blog as at least I cant share with people who love stamps as much as me... anyway as I was saying there are some stamps that arent me, much like there are probably a lot of stamps I use you wouldnt. So when I saw the new Elizabeth Bell and Sarah Kay there were only 3 or 4 saying buy me. I am not saying this to be disrespectful ot mean, just simply stating a fact that MOST of them didnt appeal... just as well when it seems the entire Nellie and luca, Rachelle, Maggies, Magnolias and more. I ADORE the work I am seeing with these new stamps and I admire the artists work but I dont want to buy them and make cards. SO last night I inked up one of the two Elizabeth Bells stamps that did appeal to me BIG TIME... I think she is called Sweet and Sassy and for me the appeal in her was her country charm along with a mangaish touch.

On with the card details I coloured her in last night, I had a thumping head all day yesterday and couldnt finish the card so I threw this together literally in 5 minutes just now and think its turned out cute, I nearly threw the image away as I didnt like my colouring last night. Cuttlebug fantasy flowers were used, basic grey papers, craftwork card words, eternal maker button, scalloped card was brought like this and I think it was Glitter Pot.

I missed out on the one Sarah Kay I wanted as they have sold out at the Glitter Pot but I will get it one day.
Harvey has an assembly today. Its a grandparents one. Mum is going, I hope she enjoys it although she will feel sad too. Harvey was crying last night about it, we both had a cuddle and a cry, when I went up later he was in bed sleeping with Grandads tropies that he is looking after for nanny... aww bless him. His memories will be short but he has good memories of the fun he had with Grandad, I tell him he has to tell Caiden was a great Grandad he was and he promises he will.
I have a class and demo at Crafts U Love tomorrow. Come along and look at how ADORABLE these Magnolias shrink up! I will share the cards after tomorrow.

Friday's update

Hi there
Well my palace has had a lick of paint in the inside, I have done the whole lot, one coat and it will need another, but not bad for 2 nap times to get it done. I have moved a few of my fav plants down there, so I have 2 nice pots and my metal cat outside. I have hung my mini mirrors off the roof, all important stuff you know! Last night I was measuring all sorts of units and I cant believe how much I can fit in the back wall, its going to be really good. My neighbour commented on how she thought it was lovely PHEW I was worrying what they would think , but thats all good :) I also took a trip to electrical wholesalers to get the amoured wire, normal wire, switches ect ect and then a trip to the local garden centre to buy 10 stepping stones so we can all hop down there and not turn the garden into a marsh!

Sugar Nellie lovers need to run to www.funkykits.co.uk as they have released MORE stamps! and there is a look at one of Rachelles new designs. Cant wait!

Speak later, going to be a busy weekend. I need to make Darren a birthday card tonight so AT LAST I might have something crafty to show you.

Todays trip

I popped to the Glitter Pot today. I have class this weekend there and needed to get stuff to prep with. Whilst there I picked up some Distress ink pads and also saw they have a wonderful range of Sugar Nellie stamps in stock!! Now I dont think they are able to sell online but you can give them a call to chat about which ones they have in stock. And if you have been under a rock and dont know what Sugar Nellies look like then here are a few photos of mine. Whilst taking the photo I realised I need more!! LOL Incidentally they havent got the new Simon and Lola ones yet but the will be coming in a while. I cant wait to be able to demo these wonderful stamps and I mean all the Sugar Nellies soon... I think I have a date, infact I know I will be there on 15th March playing with the Nellies and hopefully another fantastic range too! This was a special date previously blocked as it is my Hubbys birthdya but he told me to work as I was so happy for the SN to be sold at the Glitter Pot.

Orange??

What is it that scares people? I love orange, such a bright and happy colour but if I had a pound for all those that said "I dont do orange" during a class or demo then I would be rich. Funny isnt it? What makes us like things, dislike others.

I coloured this image (above) in the other night and have at last made time to make a card. It is orange and lime which are two of my fav colours, I like bright happy colours, cant fail to make to make me smile. I have used my watercolour crayons from Stampin' Up! my new favourite colouring medium, well those and the distress ink pads, I used those yesterday and ended up buying 10!! LOL Not quiet the idea to be selling to myself!
I made the flower type things with three different Stampin' Up! cardstock colours and the Stampin' Up! Scallop circle punch. I added Zoomz to the centre, thought it turned out cute.
I love how the light caught the glitter glue when I took the photo tonight.
News on the shed/base progress. Darren has done fantastically well, he has mixed about 1 1/2 tonnes of ballast and cement (by hand) and made great headway with it. I went to my Mum and asked her if I could take some of Dad's ashes to sprinkle in my base... Hmm does that make me weird, to want to do that? I was going to have some anyway and I wanted it to be somewhere undisturbed in the garden and not somewhere we would dig up in 6 months time. So I can truely sit in my Palace and think of him being near. I told him I wanted him to inspire me to make fantastic cards!
I had better go, Harvey has the nesquick powder and is making a mess!! Kids eh?

Few things

To share today. Here is a photo of my first Simon & Lola card from Sugar Nellie designs. I like the card, just the photo is a bit washed away. Its like there is a net curtain infront of the camera! I have tried to edit in the photo software but its just not happening, so you will have to see it "as is". Also its pastel, I am not a pastal kinda gal, so I think its just not popping out like I usually like. The stamps are adorable. At present only available from Funky Kits but sources tell me these will be out there available to all from other places too. Just like the rest of the Sugar Nellie ranges. Watch this space.... as soon as I know more I will let you know :)

I love all the designs but wanted to try this cute boy first, most of the others are depicting either Lola or both Simon and Lola but I wanted to give this little guy a chance :) He reminds me of both my boys, although not sure which one, Harveys legs are like twigs and Caidens not called "chunky munkey" for nothing! LOL The wording is from http://www.theglitterpot.co.uk/ and is a Hero Arts set of four, they are fab, when I saw them I brought them right away, Bryan said "we thought they were up your street".. What a wicked man buying all this stuff to tempt me! The beautimus scallop is from the SU scallop punch, available from your local SU demo, or me if you havent got a local one yet. Ohh I had better not post this to the UKS forum or I will have my blog removed from my signature line! We are not allowed to post to UKS anything about SU until someone signs up to be a sponsor, I wonder how much that would be? Hmmm something to ponder...

Anyway, last night, chatting to Bryan about a demo they wanted me to squeeze in, boys were still awake, following me about and me getting cross as I was on the phone. They both come back into the front room. I assume Caiden is with Darren, he since tells me Caiden had a strop on, and BOY does he have them... anyway, he walks away, Darren thinks he is with me. 20 minutes later I emerge from the kitchen and find Caiden like this!

He is asleep on the front room floor, behind the chair with his head actually on the chair and not quiet on the floor! OMG how funny, I couldnt get over it. Please ingnore the dust bunnies that Caiden has unearthed.. How did they get there?

Caiden is now asleep again for his midday nap. He didnt sleep well last night, he seems to know when Mummy has a late night coming up and sleeps less than normal so I will be very tired tonight during my second Stampin' Up! party booking. How exciting!

Did you have your pancakes yesterday? I did, I made the mixture with Delias receipe and it turned out nice. YUMMY. Dont know why, I always let Darren make them. I had a go at one myself, ended up more like scrambled pancake, but it was still yummy, just had a few holes. and I did toss it!

Beautiful sunny day here right now. I am hoping it will be nice this weekend so I can do some digging in the garden, cough cough, I mean so Darren can dig my base out for the shed :) At the moment phoning around for best prices on ballast and cement.

Nellies

I have taken a few images to bed these past two nights and wanted to share these with you. I was really pleased how they coloured in. One is Luca, which I own, the other is a Nellie which was an image someone stamped for me. I think this one might have now got added to my shopping list!

I used my trusty old watercolour pencils for these. There is much raving about Prismacolour and how fab they look. I agree, but I also think more or the less same result can be achieved with watercolours too.

Excuse picture, taken on camera phone.

Of course, this is not to say I would LOVE the entire collection on Primsmacolour pencils, but for now I will stick with my watercolour pencils. Caiden is still very much at the sucking everything stage, I am worried he would grab one of my mineral spirit stumps and.. well, I just dont want that.

To see these beauties go to www.sugarnellie.blogspot.com
