Link ; Cuttlebug tutorial

Here I am linking to a very clever lady who shows you how to do the amazing cuttlebug embossed cards where you have the card embossed with a flat part in the middle. Mondays (opps) must not miss it

I found Stampendous on YouTube and I love a lot of Frans designs. I have met Fran a few times and she is a lovely lady. So hop on over to see the videos... I love the kids and their robots... Harvey loves these robot stamps too... Hmmm an idea for a Beaver night eh? Not sure I want to let them know I would be willing to lead nights though!!

I cant wait to see the new 2009 designs from Fran and Stampendous.

Scrapling again

Whilst sorting out my stamps to sell I came across this little cutie, she is called Hugging Hearts and she is from Stampendous. Sad thing is I havent inked her up for probably nearly 10 years!! and the sadder thing is is that if you like her you wont be able to get her as she was released long time ago when Stampendous held the licence for "Our Kids" images. Sorry not meaning to tease but I just had the urge to ink her up!


Today I sent a photo of the cottage pie I had made Darren. I dont cook them that often so was proud that I had made it. I sent him the picture of the minced beef in gravy with carots and onions before I put it in the dish with the mashed potato on it and you know what he text back? "Is that sick"... LOL I suppose with the carrots he can be let of... I called him back and said "no its your tea"... heeee heee I wont eat it, I dont like mince but it smelt yummy whilst I was cooking it.

The stamp is one of the ADORABLE Huggabugs from stampingbella. All the papers are from the very fabby Stampin' Up! (via me if you havent got a demonstrator) The cute heart is from Crafts U Love but I think they might have sold out of these. As are the pins with a pearl on top, but they do (did) still have these in stock. Coloured with pencils and lashings of glitter glue.

Once upon a time

many years ago there was a girl called Caz, Caz was working at an office job, her first job since leaving school and she liked to craft. She used to buy Crafts Beautiful magazine and on one of these magazines she got a free stamp.... It was solid star stamp and she was amazing at what you could do with a small rubber stamp and a selection of pens. Whilst reading the magazine she found a place reasonabily local called "The Craft Barn" and they did stamping lessons there. She attended a lesson and the rest the say is history! One day she saw an article by a very talented lady called Julie who was selling a kit with a cute PSX bear, Caz called to order this bear and found out that this lady was very local and Caz collected her goodies ;0) Whislt chatting to Julie Caz mentioned she had written to The Craft Barn to see if they had any jobs, and it so happened that Julie worked there and she was good friends with Maggie Wright the owner of The Craft Barn. This all lead to an interview, a job, a chance to demo, a chance to teach a lot of fantastic friends and customers.

Years passed, jobs changed, marriage, kids, still lots of stamping, moving house, lots of happy times and sad to.... still the lovely friendship between Julie and I continued. I was moved to tears this morning with receiving a wonderful card from Julie. A card out of the blue from a friend saying how much your friendship means is a wonderful thing. I challenge you all to do this every so often. I know I will! So friends you had better watch the mail... it MIGHT be you!

Julie has done wonderful things in the Craft World and many UK and USA people will know of her best selling books. Here is her blog.... But above all she is a true friend. How lucky am I eh?

Talking of lucky I got a lovely package from Canada today. My one "term" in selling my Cricut Expression and all my cartridges that I wanted to place on order from Stamping Bella. WHOO HOO!! I will take a photo later and upload.

Almost a new year and thinking of a schedule for my blog

I have seen other blog users do this... a schedule for what will happen on what days.. I will try and keep my loose as you know how hectic things get with kids! But on Mondays I want to share with you a person off my blog list, this will be a person who's blog inspires me and maybe someone that you might not have already found.

Todays person is a lady called Sparkle and thats her real name ;0) How lovely eh? She is from Washington, USA and I think I found her from the Bella Forum on Splitcoast Stampers. Here is her blog link http://sparklecreations.blogspot.com/ She uses her copics beautifully and from the look of her blog header she got lots for Christmas ;0) I LOVE her card on 25th Decembers post with all those bellas and I love the little Scrap-lings on 20th December too... Maybe I ought to try one of these... I need to research a little more into what these are. I have 2 cards made that I can share and I will get those done lately. Thats all for the plans so far, Mondays = Blogs that inspire me..... I might think of something else for other days... not sure right now. You may have noticed over on the right hand column I have added a section which will display news about specials, new stock and other shop related stuff from all the places I love so keep your eyes on this side part as it will change often.

Mondays must not miss it

This weeks Mondays Must not miss it is a fantastic card by a lady called Alex. Alex has used Cosmobella and adjusted her to make her own bella. She has dont this several times to previously make a GIJaneabella and a Cowgirlabella too. Her creations are truely inspiring!! Amazing work! Check out her other creations in her Splitcoast Album.

Mondays Must not miss it..

Today I am highlighting a blog that I found on the bella yahoo group and the fantastic idea Heidi had to preserve those special stamped candles. www.heartfeltblessings.blogspot.com For those of you who have not tried this yet I urge you to try it. I have seen this stamping on candles many years ago but for some reason didn't try it. So when I went to the stationery shop last week I picked up some Tissue paper (the type you wrap with not blow ya nose - Kim) and set about following Heidi's simple tutorial. I was a little puzzled about what the parchement paper was she used, I am not a baker and dont know whats down that isle in the supermarket, it may well be that we do have it in our stores, but I did have some greaseproof paper in the cupboard and that worked just fine!

You will have seen my first candle attempt below, unfortunately the top part will have to wait for now until I can get to a DIY store to see if I can get the boring bit.

Also I didnt have markers and used my watercolour pencils and aquabrush, yes it did make the tissue very wet but I did it all quickly and without touching it too much and viola! my first of many candles I am sure :)

OK for this weeks "Must not Miss it" I am not highlighting a card as such, but an entire blog that cant be missed CindyG from the Cricut forum has such a distinct style and I love it! Check out her blog here I have been a fan of Cindys since seeing her amazing flower box on the cricut forum, since then we have have seen many many others and their take on her idea. I myself had a go too. Thanks Cindy for all your inspiring projects! I am pleased to have found your blog.

Mondays Must not miss it

I will start a new thing for Mondays, it something that I have seen that has inspired me in one way or another and todays is Regina Easters fun pig card. This card was made using the "my community" cartridge, one I hadnt given a second glance to, but now... Hmmm wonder what else can be made with this. If you look at the cartridge handbook at this pig it doesnt inspire, but what Regina has done with it surely does.
