Magnolias spotted

Previously sold out Summer and Sea Magnolias and the NEW Party collection are in stock at the GLITTER POT. Run Run!

Blue

Not my mood although I was a bit down last night but the colour of my card. I dont use blue much so I decided to break away from the orange and make a blue (and yellow) card.

The stamp is an adorable "alota" stamp from Crafts U Love. These are lovely to colour and just my style too. The paper is Stampin' Up! and you can order it through your chosen/local demo (or me) The flower is from Crafts U Love. I have added a few "zoomz" for good measure, these are from www.stampgalaxy.co.uk I do hope it helps you when I list where I get things from. I am guessing it might save questions in the end. If you do ever order from anyone I suggest please tell them Caz sent ya!

I actually coloured this one image 4 times, twice with pencils and twice with promarkers just to see how they looked, again one pro marker in the blue scheme and one pencil and promarker in a red/orange scheme. My feelings are that promarkers and pencils are fab! they are so very different I cant compaire them, they are both lovely in their own rights.

Hey cowboy

Isn't this the cutest cowboy & girl ever? I am pleasd to FINALLY own some Alota stamps an picked up a few this Saturday at Crafts U Love. These two stamps are seperate but I wish I now went for the cowboy set as its fantastic price and has loads of other designs.

The paper I used for this card was Craft U Love, it actually I suppose the reverse side of some very lovely paper, but to be honest I brought it for the back design coz you know I LOVE ORANGE! The patterns to be also look quiet western I think!?

I have other Alota stamps to share so will hopefully make some more cards this week. Talking of card making here is my Harvey this morning and he did some amazing colouring (for him) usually its a scribble of colour over the entire thing in one colour, but this time he really tried! I was well impressed. Note he cant just colour like a "normal" 5 year old, has to be with the aqua painter!!

A another Magnolia to show you

Here is a card I made this Sunday. I dusted off my prismacolors and played. I like them. I tried the Copics this Saturday, I like them but I just dont feel they are "me" and I really think the price is just a step too far. I am going to stick with my prisma's and try and play with them more. I still have so much to learn. I wish I could go to visit some of my european bloggers and get taught properly.

Apple Pie?

I dont like fruit pies but I did like this cute stamp. I got it from Crafts U Love and although there are other stamps in the collection like apples that imply it is apple pie it could be anything, blackberries, blueberries, apricot, pear... The stamp I used in the background is a leaf stamp I have had for years, I am thinking it must be about 8 years old, I stamped it using an old olive dye inkpad from Stampin' Up!, I then added a panel of Old Olive Designer Prints, mounted onto Pumpkin Pie and a few beautiful flowers (prima ones from The Glitter Pot) some buttons (Eternal Maker) and then I used the leaf corner I got in the summer kit and added the stamped leaves about the flowers. Simply eh?

BTW the cards I mainly make are out of 12 x 12 or A4 cardstock, I cut it to be 5 3/4" square and these fit in the 6 x 6 envelopes. I like this size as its room enought for the image, papers and embellishments too. The Glitter Pot are selling bulk packs of these 6 x 6 envelopes as I know some people have had problems locating these.

Tilda thinks its summer

Here she is in all her glory.. Please excuse the colours, I really am struggling with my camera phone quality and colours.

The Tilda was from Crafts U Love, flowers and leaves too. The Love and Laughter is a Craftwork cards word and I got that from The Glitter Pot. I stamped the flower background with SU Rose Red ink. Its a Penny Black stamp, I should think The Glitter Pot have it.. If I can find a link I will post it here shortly.

Friday Sketchers - Sketch 10

Whoo Hoo... another sketch done, they make for such easy cards dont they?

Here I have used one of the new Magnolia stamps, I got mine from Magnolia but I understand Crafts U Love have had their shipment in! Again the Lanterns are Magnolia. The flowers the ones I got from Sir Stampalot. Magnolia have such a huge catalogue available you tend to have to shop about to get ones you want.. but thats OK, share the love thats what I say ;0)

Colours are kinda off on the photo, I need a new camera as I am currently using my phone to take photos.

You can see the link to the Friday Sketchers on the top right in my links tab.

What's this? The circus come to town? Nope, its my gazebo as I am getting ready for next weeks Stamp Camp! I have 2 spaces come up on this camp, next Saturday and more info is on my SU blog (see above links)

What do you think?

Of my new bits on my blog? Does it make it less cluttered on here? and also easier to find the other info if you want? I like my blog links page as I have added the feature that enables me to see when people have updated so I dont need to click on everything all the time ;0)

Right for todays cards I have two cards that I have made using elements from the Summer Kit and elements from Sir Stampalot.

This card is made using the Summer Girl from the kit and the tall flowers behind her. There are two flower stamps here, the one lilac coloured flower far left and the clump of 4 flowers next to it. These were both got from Sir Stampalot. I have added flowers, button, zoomz and ribbon.

This is another cute girl from the Summer Kit along with the summer drink and the wooden stall, sun shade and flowers from Sir Stampalot. I stamped the stall and then stamped it again twice to cut off the top part to create the tall legs on which the summer shade is fixed.

Look at this beautiful rose. I look into my garden and see this and feel Happy, this the rose my Mum brought me called "My Dad". I look at this and feel his love and also hear in my head him telling me off for being "so bleedin soppy" He didnt do lovey dovey! But I do and thats how I feel when I see it and I said I would share it with you when it grew and by golly it has, it has two big blooms with at least 6 more buds coming.

Harveys school sports day was supposed to be today but we had so much rain yesterday the field was too wet. He has his play tomorrow, I'll tell you about that tomorrow. Also Caiden went on the bus today for the first time! I was working this morning at Crafts U Love and Nanny took Caiden on the bus to Horley town.. I bet he loved it! He hasnt been on one before (other than the airport one) Harvey was most jealous as he hasnt been on one before. Funny isnt it? Coz my mum doesnt drive we were often on buses and also never flew as a child. Now these boys have never been on a bus but Harvey at 5 has flown 5 times and Caiden at 2 has flown 3 times!

Well I am bushed, Harvey has got up at 5;45am and 2;45am these last two nights. So I dont get a good sleep after that. Really want to stamp something but am just too tired :(

See ya tomorrow my lovelies xx

Tilda paddling

This Tilda sure is a cutey so I had to make another card with her. I downloaded the paper from Funky Fairie Paper Crafts, the flowers from The Glitter Pot, I coloured the image with Watercolour pencils with some watercolour paper I got, must say I have heard fantastic things about the watercolour paper but I didnt get on with it at all. Think I will stick with my Papermania pick and mix linen and hammer card! The sentiment is Craftwork Cards.

Oh and I happened to place my card onto this months issue of Beautiful cards and you can see the tilda card I made that was published, among other ones I made in that issue too.

Tried to post this last night but blogger was playing up.

This little Edwin card is made for a special someone whos birthday isnt too far away.. I love this background as its so useful for a quickish card, stamp and colour the background, choose the image for the front and your done.

This was a quick card, I had the image stamped and coloured and when I turned my pc in yesterday I saw it was someones birthday and I happened to be going to see them that day so I stuck this together in literally 5 minutes. Not sure if this is still an Edwin stamp or his older brother, he certainly seems to have grown up!

Embossing fun

I dont heat emboss much, the last time I did was to decorate some chipboard letters DAD for a frame I made and it was such fun I had to go out and buy more powder. Now when Paula asked if I wanted to do embossing I said "Yes please". Its a fantastic effect AND so NOT ME!! that I really enjoyed it and taking a break from the norm. This THURSDAY morning I am at Crafts U Love doing think embossing and I would love to drum up more crafters for this! Come and have a go. Visit http://www.craftsulove.co.uk/ for booking and more info...

First time for everything

I did a sketch off Friday Sketchers blog... I have often looked at the sketch blogs and challenge blogs but never had a go. (also tried out for the design teams of a few and never got in either) anyway... here is my go at the Sketch number 9. You can see the sketch and other cards here http://fridaysketchersblog.blogspot.com/2008/07/friday-sketchers-9_03.html and here is mine

It was fun, I am goign to try and join this one each week, that way I get to play with different stamps and different shapes... try one today!

I used a stamp from Magnolia summer kit, cute eh? I believe The Glitter Pot have these coming in soon. The Hello and dots are from a Stampendous clear set. Flower is from Prima via The Glitter Pot, this was in a stunning blue and yellow pack of quick pick hydrangeas I LOVEY these and I want a bath full of them! The button is Eternal Maker, Yellow and White polka dots... too cute. I paper pricked the edge of the white card.

Hope you like?

Saturdays offferings

We made these cards yesterday in my Summer and Sea class, I cant remember what they are called, but they are actually very simple to make and I got the video tutorial link from Francis aka stamp owl in oz (sorry I am being lazy in not linking here) but check of Francis's amazing cards whilst there! so its a two in one blog hop! - Francis' link is on the right in American and Australian links, quiet near the bottom.

THe mermaid isnt the Summer and Sea collection but went quiet well. All stamps are from The Glitter Pot. I used Doodlebug glitter card.

We also made some mini cards and a little wallet decorated with the Penny Black 12 days of Christmas but I forgot to take a photo of it.
