My Super card

I was looking at my new Hanna earlier thinking what could I do what had not been done, as I am overseas it takes longer for these to reach me, therefore almost everything that can be done with these beautiful stamps has (in the conventional way)... anyway, I was looking at her, in her stretched out pose and it hit me... this is my Super card!

Materials Used : Hanna Stamp, Cuttlebug embossing folder, red card, spotty paper, computer generated phrase, star from Prima bottle, watercolour pencils and glitter glue.

Oh boy thats pink!

Bit of a pink overload here but I still like it. I think that when we think of ballet we think of pink and pretty and why should this ballerina elephant be different? Lots of different materials used on here.

OK here is the list of materials used :)

High Hopes Rubber Stamp, Doodlebug sticker (sweet), Friend embossing folder, Bazzill Flowers, Doodlebug Jewels, Watercolour pencils, Zoomz, ribbon,

Few more cards....

Here are todays cards - all materials from Creative Living. I didnt make as many cards today as yesterday as I struggle a little to make cards exclusively with the cuttlebug. I love the cuttlebug as an additional element to my cards and not as the whole thing so its a harder process for me.

Having a cuppa

So I thought I would blog. Feeling a bit harassed today, not sure why, yes I have got things to do but nothing life or death, but today it feels like a pressure, why.. hormones probably, one of those joyful things of being a woman, not sure I should get hormone problems as I have am implant in my arm.. Oh well.. Just trying to sit here and chill, despite feeling like I want to run and panic! LOL Made the tea, were having braising steak casserole with carrots , mash and peas. YUMMY... so that one thing done.

SO here are the last cards that I made at my demo at Eternal Maker.

All done with either Stampendous stamps and cuttlebug products. I love this frog, hes a cutie and designed by the very talented David Walker. There is a bit of storm on the cricut forum about yet ANOTHER ACmoore exclusive. I love David Walker Designs and I was very upset to hear it was one of his cartridges what was in with the exclusive bundle. Still I will have to wait, until its general release.
Got some stash today, havent had a chance to take a photo, a few new bellas (shhhhhh), Studio G christmas stamps and a cute Missy B designs Frog, Duck and Monkey set... Now I need more ez mount.

Go Dad!

Its my Dad's birthday tomorrow. I thought Pompomabella would be cute, cheering "GO DAD" and she is wearing red and blue, Crystal Palaces colours. I asked Darren if it were too girly... I know its of a girl, well a woman really so I thought my Dad wouldnt mind that! ha ha

I used a cuttlebug background and cuttlebug alphabet. Lots of light blue glitter glue as well.

Right I am off to bed, might take some colouring with me. Nite nite

Monday, August 6

Just had to show off! new stash alert.

My new stash from last week. The Bind - it - all you all know the story about that. The cropadile, well I got underpaid the other week at a demo so I asked them to pop a cropadile by for me. The ribbon, Hmm well, that was just a collapse of willpower and the cuttlebug dies, hmmm they jumped on me and begged me to take them home, afterall they are David Walker designs and you know I am a fan of his (or as hubby calls me a walker stalker) LOL I cant call myself a fan if I dont own all his dies can I?

The demo was good, it was very quiet in the store, something to do with the fact the weekend was beautiful and we have had so much lousy weather lately. I am hoping the samples I made and the sample board will continue to sell for them. Talking of samples, here are a few...

All were David Walker designs. I love these little critters!
I love the fact that you can cut in white and add detailing or you can cut in a coloured card and the cuttlebug adds the face detail and you really dont need to do anything with them. I do love to add the detail so thats what I did.
The cuttlebug embossed the purple velvet paper (right) beautifully. Oh and the cuttlebugs from Craftsulove come with a set of 4 small embossing folders and a cutter to compliment, also a fab booklet with lots of samples and tips. You do not get these from all places that sell the cuttlebug so be sure to check this out and if you do order please tell them Caz encouraged you to go to them :) ta muchly

Bad Caz, missed a day!

I missed ya yesterday! Did you miss me?

I am sharing a board I decorated for my Demo Saturday. I am at craftsulove on Saturday and will be demoing stamps and the cuttlebug. Hmmm just about two of my favourite things! So I made this board, and to give you some idea on size the circles are cut out of a 3" circle punch and then embossed, swiped with ink or coloured and cut in half for the board. I thought this could be a pritty way in decorating the edges of the board. There isnt any stamping on here but I asked the store if they wanted me to prep a board for the store to keep to help promote the cuttlebug which is new for them. Or to make some cards. I figured I could make cards when I am there anyway so they will still get cards made. Just depends on what the customers want to see.

Here is one that looks a little closer... and also a little brighter.

I tried to show lots of things, including the beautiful embossing. The cute cutters and cutting the felt and thin chipboard.

In my head it was a little different in that I was thinking there would be more "stuff" around the inside edge but in reality I was restricted by the number of die sets I had, I did the dog, cat, frog and flowers and thats about all I have really.

I am still quiet pleased with it though. It will show people a little on what can be done with this great machine. Which BTW if you are in the UK and still sitting on the fence, why? Go get one now from CraftsULove they have the biggest ranges of dies and embossing folders I have seen in a store! Tell them Caz sent ya.

OK Caz was a bad girl in more than one way. Firstly neglecting my blog duties and not posting yesterday and secondly getting a parcel delivered yesterday. We have a very acute cash flow problem, more of a drought! and I got a bind it all and 2 boxes of coils delivered yesterday. Darren spared my life and I just got a "what now" glare when I said to Darren I had a "confession" to make... in my defence I ordered this thing MONTHS ago but it had only just arrived and... well and nothing really. I ordered it and it was delivered and I paid for it. Just means we'll be on beans on toast for the rest of the month! I read and laugh about everyones exploits to "hide" and "smuggle" their stash in their house's past there other halves. I even heard last week at The Glitter Pot "Oh, its OK, I have one those bag for lifes in the car" LOL Anyway, I have never been one for that... even if I wanted to be I knew Harvey would grass on me. When I was talking to Darren on the phone yesterday about this and that Harvey was in the background saying "tell Daddy about your new machine" and he said to me, "your gonna be in trouble when Daddy finds out" Ha ha I think he heard me muttering that when I was opening the parcel. Kids eh?

Cutest cuddlebugger in town

Opps, look at that title!! LOL

Harvey at the grand old age of 4 years is an expect cuttlebugger. Caiden however is just learning the joys of this machine. I can not wait to get my boys the cuttlekids. :)

Don't look too close at the rug, it needed a hoover!

"Cuttlebug - over the edge" tutorial

A few people have asked how I did it, I know its hard to explain in words sometimes so here are some visuals for you.

Step one - Take image, remember when you trim it you need to leave a gap to be able to emboss. Pop in into the cuttlebug folder so most of the image is sticking out.

Step Two - Place embossing folder into the sandwich as shown. Note the long side of the embossing folder is going with the short side of the blocks.

Step Three - Run though cuttlebug machine

Step Four - Voila! here is your cuttlebugged "over the edge" design. Embellish as required. You could ink the edge, colour with inks or pencils, whatever you wanted.

I'll finish this card off tonight and show you what I have done with it.

Monday, July 30

Ohhh another card!

After tea tonight I left Darren and the boys in the garden and just went to made a card. It felt good after a long day with the boys and the neighbours girl it was a welcome break. I stamped the image yesterday and coloured this in last night in bed. I thought about my dirty knees from earlier in the day when I was weeding so I decided to add some dirty spots to bellas outfit! I love the colours of this one. I put the image through the cuttlebug after I coloured it. Instead of putting the folder through in the normal way I put it through long side first to make the image fit through, most of the image is hanging out of the folder. I thought this was pritty neat. I used three of my beloved primas on here and finished the centres of the flowers with doodlebug gems. [click picture to make it bigger]

Of all the pritty things, stamps, flowers, ribbons and papers I have two most precious and beautiful things.... I know you have all seen a lot of them... of course I am talking about my precious boys. Having the school holiday is tough. Of course I love both of them to death but as any mother will know its hard work. I am sure there will be a lot of counting to ten over these coming five weeks. I will look back on my blog and find these photos taken today. My happy, smiling, beautiful boys! I love you both SOOOOO much, just dont like what you do sometimes!

Awww you can see the love here can you? Harvey is the bestest big brother (apart from mine) ever. He loves his little brother and is very protective.

Two peas in a pod! Apart from the eyes that is.

Sistahs!

Caiden napping so I managed to put this card together. I never used to like "images" I like the whole process of stamping, colouring, cardmaking as one. But I think its the way to go for me right now. I took my H20's, bella images and waterbrush to bed the other night and coloured a few. So today when Caiden was napping I ran upstairs and put this one together in just a few minutes. As Em would say I hope you likey?

Also wanted to show you some "stash" I got yesterday. As you know shopping ban is on, but I got some money sent to me on paypal so I just had to spend it. I fell in love with this cuttlebug die when I saw someone do something fabby with it and a fella. I will find out who did what with it and show you. Since then I have been longing for it, but not being able to find it in any of the local stockists.

LOL I just re-read the above post and I thought how funny it read about doing something fab with the die and a fella!! LOL for those that dont know, stamping bella has released some great images of men and called them fellas! So its not something I am going to do with Darren :) One of my fella stamps is what I meant!

Farewell Mrs Webber

Mrs Webber is Harveys nursery school teacher assistant, she is a lovely smily lady that greets the kids through the door and does so much to help the kids in their class. She has been there for some years, of course we have only known her for the first school year that Harvey has been there, but we will still miss her. She is off to start a new job and leaves tomorrow.

I made this for her, its just a little something and enclosed are 4 small scented tealights and a pritty metal and crystal tea light holder.
Flowers are sizzix, cuttlebugged the top and swiped with ink.
Add liquid pearls and ribbon to decorate. Quiet simple but I hope she likes it.

Seeing ducks...

I joined the bella image swap on the yahoogroup and I chose to stamp "bubblebella". I had to stamp almost 70 and in the middle of stamping these images I started seeing ducks! I am sure Em didnt mean for a duck to be in the bath with Bella, BUT once I had seen it I couldnt get it out of my head, I also couldnt wait to make a card and show you all!! I have coloured the bubble by her leg in yellow, the part that is bellas leg I coloured orange as the ducks bill and doesnt it look cute!!

Image coloured with watercolour pencils and aquabrush. Mounted onto a cuttlebugged card using the bubbles embossing plate, I swiped over this with a brilliance blue ink pad. I cut the edges of the stamped panel with my new toy, the Cutterpede and the scalloped cutting blade, how cute! I cut the wording with the cuttlebug font "you're not the boss of me" and added some pritty ribbon from Hobby Lobby (via Candice), added a flower and a beautiful brad from my NSSS Sherilin. Added two PP also. Once assembled I added glitter glue to the letters and bubbles.

I dont know who this card is for, I guess it could be for all women who tend to keep the world running!! So watch your mail boxes everyone... it might just come your way!
