Beaver Duties

I am sure you remember me saying but I have become an assistant leader at Harveys Beaver Colony. Two current assistant leaders are leaving and I was asked if I minded making a card for them. I was only too pleased to jump at the chance as I had something up my sleeve! I had been liasing with Pollycraft about comissioning a drawing for me depicting kids in beaver uniform and she finished this weekend and its FAB!!!

HUGE thank you to Paula from Pollycraft she took my brief and turned it into a great drawing that I will be using for numerous Beaver Projects I am sure.

so here are the 2 cards I made. For these I printed the black and white drawing out and coloured with promarkers. I used the doodlebug papers that I picked up at The Glitter Pot onn Saturday, they have leaves, frogs, bugs ect so a bit "outdoorsey". The small bag is an idea I thought of for presenting the badges to the beavers. For that one I colour the image prior to printing on the PC and then printed it out. If this idea is taken up I could be making 26 of these at a time so I needed to colour these before.

I am really pleased with these projects. Very simple but do the job.

Soft Pencil

I brought a few digi images the other week from Soft Pencil on Etsy (http://digitalstamps.blogspot.com/)

Here is a card I made last night, the image is very cute, the elements nice but I am not sure it works so I may well attack this later to see how I can make it better :) LOL

HOT HOT HOT! looks like a hot week for us in the UK. Least we have the paddling pool up for the kids. Praying Harveys cast will come off tomorrow and stay off, poor love was getting told off yesterday for getting it wet.

Sunny Sunday

Another beautiful day on the cards. Kids are playing in the sandpit already, everyone else, ie Darren and BIL are still in their beds, lazy men eh? I had a lie in and got up at 7.30 to find Harvey was already up and watching tv downstairs, a sign he is growing up, coming down and sorting himself out :) meant I got another half and hour to hour in bed, not sure when he got up but it was 6 something.

SO here are the rest of the cards I made at the Glitter Pot yesterday. And also some of Carolyns cards, she is the owner along with Bryan and her colouring is beautiful! Her colours are always so vibrant and make mine look wishy washy. Mine are first.

I really messed up with the photos yesterday, I forgot to take single shots of some of them, so some are cropped parts from larger photos so they go a little fuzzy.

This is one of the fuzzy shots, the champers glass is really cute and for lots of occasions.

A little bit of paper piecing for this one, I added an extra balloon, think it looks better
with two - again a fuzzy shot

This is the mini box and cards I made before I went to the Glitter Pot.

ADORE these colours of papers. I had to get a sheet or 2 of the one on the right as its beautiful. All totally "me" colours - anyone else have to buy 2's of papers? One to use and
one to stroke right?!

This is called a side step card and created a lot of comments. I have a class at the end of July for Forever Friends stamps so I think I will throw in this card fold to the class too, of course making a new sample which will be different.

So last night I was saying to hubby about maybe going to the beach today, not for ages but for lunch and a play in low tide. But now in the cold light of day when I realise we have NO picnic food and I would have to pack and get ready for the entire family to go out the door it doesnt seem such an inviting option. Hmmm me run around like a headless chicken for 2 hours to get us all ready and lunches done, or sit here, make a start on some cards I need to make for tomorrow? Pollycraft have very kindly designed an image for me so I can make cards for the beavers. I cant wait to show you what she has done!! its fabo.

7th July is a BIG date on my calender. Stampin' Up! are opening the registration for the convention in Germany and I am going!! By hook or by crook. I cant wait. everyone that is a demonstrator can go (of course you have to pay) but there are no restrictions of sales or anything so as long as you are a demonstrator you can book. Join now and come too!!

Oh well, better go and get dressed its almost 9!

ps will be back later with Carolyns cards

pps will be back later with a few things for sale too as I am saving for my latest rubber wishes

Glitter Pot Demoing

I was demoing at the Glitter Pot today, using their fabby EXCLUSIVE Forever Friends stamps. These stamps are ADORABLE.. I had great fun as you can see.

I loved colouring this bear sitting on the step. Used my nesties for this shape and a martha punch for the top and bottom.
Simple but effective, I love the lilac with the black and white

I used a nestie to make the flower. Words are Craftwork Cards
My nesties got used today. I loved this card and the soft colours

I loved this pinky red card too.
I will be back tomorrow with some more closer photos, but for now here is a group shot and some of the closer ones

Remember these stamps can not be brought ANYWHERE else!
Bye

This ones for Ethan

I read a blog this week that touched my heart. A beautiful little boy called Ethan lost his battle against cancer. You can read the whole story here. Basically the designer of the stamps for Pink Cat Studio has designed these adorable images Cowboy Ethan and his rootin tootin sister Cowgirl Ava. All proceeds to these digi images will go to the make a wish foundation. Not only did I think these images were adorable, I very much wanted to help, so I brought the image bundle and made this card.

As mummy to two adorable boys I can not imagine the pain this family has gone through.

I flipped the image of the cowgirl before I printed it. I wanted them to be riding together and their balloons are supposed to look like a heart.

Still alive

Still alive but my mojo and energy levels have disappeared! I have just been feeling like everything is an effort right now so haven't done much.

Was hoping I would have some of the new Magnolias to play with by now and reignite my mojo but they havent arrived just yet, I am sure it wont be long.

I had a Stampin' Up! party at Julias on Tuesday, THANKS JULIA and ladies who came along, I hope you all enjoyed it. Here is what I demo'd
A little mini pizza box which they all liked as it is made from one piece of cardstock.

And a flower pot card too

and for my make and take we made this....

IF you are wanting me to come and host a party for you all you need is a few friends, a table, a date. I will travel about Surrey and Sussex. I will bring all supplies, demonstrate projects, design a make and take which we will all make. I can also come along to your craft group for a demo too. Evening, weekends and daytimes can be arranged.

I am at The Glitter Pot Saturday for a demo. I will be playing with the exclusive Forever Friends stamps that they have. Should be fun, just hope my mojo comes back before then! LOL

Reason for absence

I have been swamped with sickness from Caiden. He has been ill since Sunday. Then yesterday afternoon I decided to join in and then last night Harvey so we are all ill :(

Had a lovely day yesterday with Harveys class and year 2, now feeling bad that I might of infected someone else but without knowing it as I felt fine yesterday. They went to bodium castle, it was a really great day.

Will be back soon with something handmade, been enjoying printing and colouring these past few nights whilst catching sick from Caiden so I have a few images ready to mount, just feeling "blurgh" today so I cant sit up for much concentrated things.

Caidens almost 3!

Three tomorrow! Poor little love has just been sick all over the bed!! he was covered so he has had to have a bath. We're not sure why... bug or too much snacking on crisps. We had a barbecue today, a pre birthday party. He didnt eat too much really, I dont think, but Darren seems to think he ate a lot of cheesy Doritos. Anyway, he is sleeping again, wrapped in a towel with Daddy cuddling him. He has a very loose chest (Yuck sorry) and was almost sick this morning when coughing so perhaps it was that. :( Poor thing.

I just finished making this card for him. I used Penny Black letters and number. Its a large card, or rather a long card. A4 folded in half longways.
Right better go and sort his bed out, thankfully its warm so he wont need a quilt as thats in the washing machine.

Morning all - another one for the boys

I am in boy mode still with those papers I got from Crafts U Love and "totally awsome dude - surfer Ian" from http://www.diestodiefor.com/

I did a z fold card, with the card reversed from the "normal" way I do them.

Totally rad right? LOL
OK today we have to get Caidens pressie for his Birthday on Monday. We are getting him a wooden sandpit so he can sit in it and dig and play farm to his hearts delight. I need Darren to get it for me as the sand is 20k a bag! and we need 5-6 bags and the sandbox itself is quiet heavy. Then Harvey has been invited to a party, intially I said he couldnt go, with his arm... but he seems so totally normal now I would feel so mean. So he is going and he will promise me to just take a bit more care!
Thats all for now folks.

My new calling??? cast decoration!

Well it had to be done didnt it. Harvey actually asked for 2 of them... The other I did whilst he was asleep :) He loves them.

The bee was a Provocraft stamps YEARS old

Hedgie is Penny Black and the Monkey of course is Changito from Stampendous!

I stamped with Momento and coloured with promarkers. The cast was hard to stamp on as it wasnt flat. But I did my best :) LOL

A bobunny rootin tootin Howdy!

I loved those papers I used from Crafts U Love the other day. So I had to buy a piece of each :) The earthy colours are fab for boys and men. I inked up my new Cowboy Ian stamp from The Greetings Farm (via Dies to die for for a BIG selection or Crafts U Love for a smaller selection and BOTH have this one in stock, and both have fabulous service, so I dont know how on earth you choose!! LOL)

I used the Stampin Up! star punch (really into stars right now and desperately want the nestie stars!) and the ultra huge eyelets from Stampin' Up! which again give it a male feel.

A stamp from old is the stitching stamp and I dont even know who makes it! and the Howdy and cactus is a retired US SU stamp set called "Cowboy kid" ... Love that set.

SO who said making boys cards isnt as fun? I LOVED making this card :) Not sure who it is for, I might just keep it in my shed! How cool would have this card looked with gun shots through it! Now there is an idea for a punch!! LOL almost wanted to go out and shoot this card :) or learn how to make mini lasso's. A native american (See politically correct) would be fab please Greetings Farm!

One last little thing..... I love Stampin' Up!... I hear the new USA catalogue is out soon.... pritty please with sugar on the top would a kind USA demo help me get my mitts on one?? email me stampingcaz@btinternet.com

A Whippersnapper Morning

I had a fun class at Crafts U Love this morning. We made two whippersnapper cards using boys stamps and papers. And then when I got home I had 20 minutes to throw a card together for a friend of Harveys birthday. Before I go on an update on Harvey. Hes fine, he didnt go to school today for two reasons. 1 he was a little uncomfortable in the night and didnt sleep well and 2. I was working and the last thing I needed mid class was a call to pick him up due to his arm hurting, so I felt it best all round to have a second day off school. He will be back tomorrow.

Here is one card we made, and the inside picture follows. I made the little hidy message part with my nesties.

Crafts U Love have some FAB boys papers in stock. And to show off these papers to the max I was recently inspired by someones cards on their blog this past week (I will look for link and post) and she made these fantastic quilt cards. So here is my simple take on it.
http://cardsbyboop.blogspot.com/ it was here I was inspired, Malin, her cards are AMAZING!

And lastly here is my last minute card for Harveys friend Joe who's birthday it is today. Here is the card (and pressie)

All supplies from Crafts U Love. £5 notes not included!

And the prize of best accident today goes to........

HARVEY! 3 hours in A&E with him. He went to a party yesterday (yeah remember the monkey card) and he fell and hurt his arm on the bouncy castle. He didnt want to come home, he didnt want to play. They called Darren who went and they both stayed at party. During the day he wasnt using his arm as much, but wasnt "Not" using it also if you know what I mean, he was using it a little. But ever now and then complaining. So when he got up this morning and it was the first thing he said I thought I had better get it checked. He has 1 break in both bones in his arm, just above the wrist. He is in a cast, wont be long though, 1 week he has to go back adn then a cast for probably 3 weeks.

Here is my poor honey!

Thank goodness I ahve prepped already for my class tomorrow at Crafts U Love!

Two cards in one day..

Must be a record! Well it isnt but it feels like it somewhat, Farm Town has a lot to answer for!More farming means less cards, but being away on holiday made me a/ miss card making terribly and b/ made a break from Farm Town so I am less addicted!! LOL

Here is a card I made for Brennan who is one of Harveys friends. I love Changito Monkey from Stampendous and I used a Changito set SSC177 Changito Birthday, The number from SSC178 from Cupcake Numbers and the birthday circle from SSC670. I am not sure who has these at the moment, I would check out both The Glitter Pot and Sirstampalot for these. BTW Sirstampalot have the lovely Graduation Magnolia collect in stock and are taking pre order for the fabby Animal collection too.

Paper is Stampin' Up!, as it the watercolour crayons I used to colour the images in. To order either of these items email me. stampingcaz@btinternet.com SPECIAL OFFER Order all 4 of the watercolour wonder crayons sets from me (£16.95 each) and you will receive the neutrals for FREE (worth £8.50) This is an offer only through me and limited time only.

I really love this card, so clean, simple.. guess thats my card style all over. I look at the amazing pieces of art all over blogs and wish I could be more like them, but for me this simple style just takes over all the time. Lack of time and stingeyness might play some part too!! ;)

Yawn... I am soooo tired

I had Harvey and Caiden in my bed last night. Darren had gone awol at the pub, so I didnt know when he was coming home so I never sleep well, waking up all night until I got a teck to say "YES" to my "Are you still alive" text. Caiden who went to sleep at about 5;30pm was restless from about 4am and I feel sooooooooo tired!

Here is a card I have been making over a week, just wasnt pulling together quickly. Its OK, not great. I love all the elements, it just doesnt work too well.

What the bad Mummy was doing

Whilst Caiden was experimenting outside with the laws of gravity and hardness of wooden sheds!! I was in my shed just tidying up and sorting out. (just feet away) I have just sold a paper unit, paper trays and dismantled a unit I had in there, moved it all about and I am happy it looks a little tidier, as tidy as a shed full of craft stuff and storage can. I like the mixed up look, I like the organised chaos! I am not a clean line, clinical kinda gal, hense the chicken on the floor, the stuffed country rabbits, hanging tubs, brightly colours baskets and hodgepodge furniture. It gives it a "Hey come in and play" kinda feel. Rather than a "dont use anything, cant find anything" feel.

I do have boxes and drawers to sort through, lots of bits and pieces are not where they should be and I am always shuffling my supplies from one box to another one.

My Pritties corner - buttons, flowers, bigshot and my stamp unit. New stamps and favs go on here

These shelves were such a bargain, I love the coloured baskets some hold my glues, h20's, distress inks, rollers and more. Bookcases hold ribbons, ink pads, folders and other oddments.

This is my stamping desk. Its an ugly desk but its very solid so its OK. Again storage needs sorting as I have so many empty places.

This is where the bulk of my wood stamps are. I have a lot of SU stamps under the white table in the other photo. All these wicker drawers need sorting as they are all mixed.

A wider view.

I actually spend very little time in here, but at least it is all stored here. Well not all, I have a rather large pile of regular used stuff. Stuff that I want all the time and that is behind the door in the front room.
Caiden is ok, he is sleeping, he was actually very tired before the accident, as soon as he got home from school at 12 I thought he was going to fall asleep, he fell asleep very early for him at about 5;30, but I am happy he is ok, hes still down here on the sofa so I can keep an eye on him. God help me later when I try and take him to bed and he wakes! I will not be happy if that happens :)

Caidens Experiment

DAY 1 Caidens Slide Experiment - conditions, cloudy and a bit chilly - perfect for my experiment. All Systems go.

Status:
Mummy is in the shed, tidying up, I am going to walk about the garden, perhaps I will go on the slide... Wheeeeeeee!! that was fun..... Hmmm on the trampoline now...... boing boing! off again, I'll chase Milo... heee hee this is fun... Hmmm whats that? A plastic basket... I wonder..... Up, Up, Up, yep, its up the top of the slide, now if I just sit in it... and Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! SMASH Waaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Mummmeeeeee!

Conclusion.... Plastic baskets on slides GO REALLY FAST! Shed on heads HURT A LOT and make BIG EGGS ON head... I'm OK now... Mummy was worried... Uncle Robert was impressed... this photo doesnt show the size of my egg head!

Experiment over.... But hang on, where's that basket, I fancy another go! (not likely says Mummy)

Apologies

But this post is a bit of a photo fest. I just got the urge today to take some photos :)

Firstly here is a card I made for the Greetings Farm Black and white challenge. I was quiet horrified at the thought of making a no colour card. Black, white and grey were the only colours allowed. But I really enjoyed it and I love the look!
Here is a closer one as I love how the light caught the glitter *BLING BLING*
Next is a lovely picture of Harvey Warvey and "Mil-Bilo-littlepuppydawg" as I call him! He is in his new little bed that we got as a belated birthday. I know he was 1 in May, but the previous lady didnt know his exact DOB so we havent really got a date.
So from one of my handsome boys to the other... "Cadey Woo" who is nearly 3!! He is three on 15th of this month... can't believe he will be starting school with Harvey this September GULP!
And lastly ME! and Milo Bilo Littlepuppydawg! Awww he was so snuggly into me last night I had to let hubby take a photo, I was tickling his little chest and he was fast asleep and as much as I usually hate my photo it didnt turn out too bad, yeah I look tired, thats coz I am !! LOL I had to crop the photo as he had his legs akimbo and all his "bits" on show!! LOL God I love that little doggy!
Thats if for now.

Happy Birthday Mum

Anyway sending lots of love to my Mum for her birthday xxxxxx
