Cute card Thursday

Today is the last of my Cute Card Thursday Guest Designer cards and I want to thank everyone there for letting me play along.  I will try and take part in more challenges on there :)  Let me just get convention out of the way.

Here is my last card, the challenge was using acetate.

I have used the ADORABLE Penny Black girl on bike, Magnolia tree, Martha Grass edge punch and the Magnolia fence.  The fence and grass was stuck to the acetate on the ouside, the girl and bike is inside.

I hope you like?

My Stampers ten card

This time round I am offering a small card kit with my S10 orders.  In the pack I give them all the stuff to re-create a card.  Of course I cant send the inks, stamps or punches so where I need to I will stamp or punch for them.  Here is this months card.

I was really pleased with this catalogue launch in the addition of some more sets that you can colour in.  This set is called Every Moment and I have used my ink pads to colour this in.

These flowers are lovely aren't they?  Its one single flower which you can stamp as many or as little times as you want to.  A new punch was used along with a bunch of colours too.

Thursday again..., another Cute Card Thursday

And this one is a sketch made by my friend Lynn.

Here is Lynns fab sketch.

and here is the card I created for it.  Fancied a bit of colouring tonight
so I picked out this adorable Penny Black rubber stamp image.

I used the curly label Punch from Stampin' Up!
and some of the wonderful papers in different colours
I coloured it with my SU ink pads in the same sort of colours
as the papers.  It was nice to use primary shades for a change.

Almost at the end of my Cute Card Thursday guest spot.  Thanks for the invite there ladies.

Tiny Treats

Here is another little tutorial on a project I have seen made with the Petal Card punch again.  These are on show throughout Splitcoast Stampers.  With Halloween fast approaching they all appear to be Halloween right now, but I am sure it wont be long until there are Christmas ones coming.

Punch three shapes out, 2 green and one black

Cut off one of the rounded bits and use scissors to trim a hair shape

Using the 1/4" circle punch I made these eyes

And here is "Frankie" in all his glory.  I must say the lady that thought
of using brads in his neck was very clever.  And I made another with
3 ovals in Pumpkin Pie to made this mad eyed Pumpkin.

I have also seen ghosts, mummies, vampires and devils!  These are soooo diddy.
The main square face on these shapes is only 1"

Hope you like.... more to come another day.

A little step by step - Petal Punch * PHOTO HEAVY *

There are some thing that you immediately fall in love with, there are some things that need a little inspiration and this punch was one of them.  There are quiet  few cute little ideas with these and I thought I would share a couple.  Here is a little step by step photo tutorial for a cute little box idea I saw on http://inspirestampin.blogspot.com/  this is an American Demostrator and she makes some wonderful projects!

Here is my little take on her idea (or the idea I saw first on her blog)

Punch out two petal card shapes in your chosen colour.  I have used Old Olive.

Now stick some sticky strip in the parts as shown.  It really is important you use
a strong tape or glue.  Sticky Strip is really good for this.

Now using a cropadile make 2 holes as shown.  Using the large hole for the top centre
and the smaller hole for one of the petals.

Take a piece of acetate and cut to 5" and 4 1/4"
Stamp with white Staz on
I have used one of the stamps from the new Clear MOUNT stamp sets called
confetti.

Score the acetate at 1", 2", 3", 4"

Add Sticky Strip to the narrow fold as shown

Stick tape along long side to make a square "tube"
fold the petal punch and remove sticky strip backing
stick to the outside of the tube and press inside with finger

Stick all 4 sides down, as my fingers are not long enough
I used a long pair of scissors to press the tape down

Take your time getting the bottom on right as otherwise it
will be wonky

Take a piece of ribbon, I have used the new In Colour Poppy Parade for this
fold in half and tie a knot at the bottom.  Starting ribbon was approx 5-6"

Thread ribbon through as shown

Fill with item of choice, here in a house with the boys and hubby sweets dont
stay around too long so these are all I could find.
Other Ideas : M & M's , Skittles, Smarties, Sherbert Pips, Bath Salts, Buttons and Ribbon... ect ect

Now I am making the decoration, I have stamped this cute little kitty from the "Every Little Bit" set
and coloured with the NEW Stampin' up! watercolour pencils.  I added the crown from "Tiny Tags"

The "4 You" is also from Tiny Tags, here you can see I have used both sizes of the Tag Punch
Threaded onto the Linen Thread and tied onto the top.

Voila!  your finished gift :)

I hope you have enjoyed this little photo tutorial.  Want more??

I am really hoping to be back with another couple really soon.

I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator so I can order any of the items used for you.  Just let me know.

Another Cute Card for Thursday

Here is my second card for Cute Card Thursdays guest designer spot.  For this I used a bunch of Old Stash.

The main image is from Stamps by Judith, the papers, not sure on the make but they come from Woodware, Stampin' Up! card and ribbon oh and the Martha grass punch too.

The theme was bees and bugs... I have many bees to choose from, but this little one was the one that was buzzing the loudest out my drawer :)

Hello

What have you been up to today?  Beautiful sunny day today here in Surrey.  Just pottered about indoors.  Caiden is not well so we did not go anywhere.  Come to think of it, I am suddenly hot and shivery myself! Oh dear, I hope I won't be head down the loo tonight!!

Here is a card I made, was going to be for a challenge but I changed my mind.

Its all Stampin' Up! for this one.  Going Green set embossed with white Embossing powder onto Orange card.  Another flower stamped onto Crumb Cake card and the new Butterfly set and punch too.

And this was a Halloween card I made just for fun.  I do love Halloween!  A variety of stamps used.  The small witch is Penny Black, the ghost is Stampendous, fence is Magnolia as is the bunting and I believe the werewolf is Inky Antics, its one I brought unmounted many years ago.

I am very busy this month getting ready for convention.  So I might not be about much.

I am placing a Stampin' Up! order on Friday so if you want to add to it please let me know.

Cute Card Thursday

I was asked by a friend who happens to be part of the Design Team on Cute Card Thursday if I would like to have a go a being guest designer... DUH!!  of course I would be thrilled.

This weeks challenge is no embellishments or home made only. Now you know I am not huge on overly embellishing and I am quiet a simple cardmaker so this was easy for me.

I have used one of the new Magnolia stamps from work and also use one of my favourite new stamp sets in the Stampin' Up! catalogue called "For Everything" and the colour Rich Razzleberry for the cardstock and ink.

You can find the Cute Card Thursday blog at http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/

I hope you enjoy my creations over the next month.

Welcome new catalogue

Well the 2010/11 catalogue has come out now and I had a little launch party yesterday and I hope all that came along had a nice time :)  We made 3 projects, ate cupcakes and had a good old chin wag.  Hubby, boys and dog were ejected from the house so the only madness in the house was from mad crafting women :)

Here are a few pictures from the last few days/weeks even.

Here is the Christmas card we made using "Dasher" and other things.
Baja blue was the main colour on here, along with Crumb Cake and
Early Esspresso

This little card was made using "For Everything" stamp set and I really love this set.  Not least as
it is something to colour in :)

This was my shoppers bonus thing and for each order of £50 or more
they could remove a circle to uncover a prize which would come with their order.
Prizes include rolls of ribbon, ink pads, dazzling diamonds glitter and more
This is only something I intend to use at parties, however for the month of
October I would like to extend it to internet orders too.  So anyone that orders
£50 can tell me which circle to remove and they will receive that prize
with their order.  Sorry S10 ladies/gents  this does not include you for your
S10 orders but if you do order outside of the S10 then of course you
can have one too.

The new catalogue can be viewed at
or downloaded

as well as the new catalogue we have some fabulous colour kits to update all your products with
the new colours.  Click below to download the flyer

I have more cards to share but haven't taken pictures yet and one of the projects I made
yesterday must have gone home with someone else as I have theirs here.

Few more cards will pop up over the next month as I have been invited to be a guest designer
on a challenge blog.... more to follow soon....  but generally it will be head down making
swaps as I have joined lots for convention.

10 x 3d swaps
90 x about me mini pages
10 x demonstrator tools
and as many up to 300 general swaps.... PHEW!

speak soon xx
