Woodware/Dreamweaver Blog Hop

Welcome to Woodware's first Blog hop! and we have a give away too! We are really happy to be joining with the Dream it up team to bring you innovative ways to use our wonderful Dreamweaver stencils and supplies all week long! By the end of the week, you'll have seen stencils used in inspirational ways you just couldn't have imagined, and you'll see that, although our stencils are wonderful for paper crafting, they have SO MANY other uses too! We'll have several posts a day for you, from Monday August 29th to Saturday September 3rd. At the end of our celebration, each designer will randomly select a winner from all blog comments to receive a free Dreamweaver stencil. We look forward to you partying along with us!

Eeekkk!! the hop starts with me along with 3 other ladies today and continues all week

Here's my entry for today:

As a stamper and dabbling in punches and die cut stencil embossing is an unknown territory.  Having had a little "go" many (like 18) years ago when I first started crafting it has come a long way with the introduction to beautiful designs, stencil paste and in my eyes the best thing, being able to do a beautiful embossed picture like this with a turn of a handle.  Using a die cutting machine and the mats required its literally that easy!

I fell in love with this beautiful butterfly stencil Dreamweaver Three Butterflies LL591.  I chose to decorate a book and this hard backed book was just £1 for 2 in Poundland :)  I ran the stencil through the Big Shot machine and kept the stencil in place, using various colours in inkpads and some stencil brushes I added the colour.  And lastly I dabbed glitter glue onto it too.

You can find all the supplies you need right here  and right here

Your next stop along the hop is to Lee at Lee Kellogg blog.

I hope you have enjoyed my post and enjoy the week!  I know I cant wait to see what has been done by all the others :)

Yesterdays Create and Take

Yesterdays Create and Take at Crafts U Love was made by me :)  Usually the very talented Suzie Q and Paula Baughan design these cards but with Suzie Q off on her holiday I was asked to have a go.  I do hope the ladies enjoyed my festive patchwork card.

I have used the Woodware Patchwork Dove for this card.  Along with the Woodware Holly, Star and Square punches.  A little bit of paper piecing on the birds wing and body and its done :)

A couple of funny pictures to share.  Myself and friend Karen went to another friends house last
night for girlie chat and Big Brother watching.  Trisha told us we had to come dressed as Jedward
this was the closest we were going to get!! LOL  Harvey modelling this mask for me ;0)

Also yesterday afternoon Harvey and I did a bit of soapmaking with a kit
he got and we made this lovely "Brain and Finger" soap!!

Monday marks the start of a very special Woodware and ????  blog hop!!

Woodware Funny Folds

Today its my turn at the Woodware blog for Funny Folds.  Now folds can be making cards or as I have chosen a box.  Now I got this fab box from the Splitcoast Stampers website and in their resources section.  I was thinking of making tutorial for it but figured their instructions are fantastic and "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

So here is the link for what they call the A2 card box.  This box could quiet happily hold 6 cards and envelopes and would make and lovely gift.

When I saw the Woodware New Releases the stamp set that made me "squeak" with excitement (literally) was the little Garden Gnomes Clear Magic set FRCL202 and also the Woodland and Mushroom house.  All that colouring opportunity!

So I went about making my box following the instructions. And had such fun decorating it.

Here I have used the gnome, the ribbon border cassette to make a cute little fence, daisies and gems

Here you can see I  have used the wheelbarrow and mushroom (fairy tots set) to decorate the
edges of the box.

Now for the real fun!  And I made 4 cards to go inside the box.

My plans were to make more but as with any time you have plans the kids often have plans of their
own and Harvey didn't feel well so I had to sit with him instead of making more cards.  Still
this gives you a general idea on how wonderful this set is!!

Check in tomorrow to see what Debbie has made

Girly Bunting

This bunting is made for a girlie girl :)  decorated with pinkness, glitter and princesses.

Kids are starting to go a bit crazy, I think  three weeks in they are getting bored of each other and seem to be constantly bickering.  its very stressful!!  Two and a half weeks to go.

Woodware Challenge - take 2 colours

So my initial plan was some sort of tealy blue and brown but then I found out the DT had liked this colour choice too.  I said to Darren what colours should I used and he sang "Black and Yellow" at me.  So here my card was born.  I had already chose the set I was going to use.  This cute little Birdie set from Stampendous.

Different shades of light black (grey) and lots of lovely sunny yellow too
I have made a tri fold card as I wanted to use both the main images and the lovely
sentiment too.

The papers are from the Lost in Paradise 8 x 8 collection
The stamp set is called Blockart Tweet Friends
and in the centre I used on of my fav new tools.  The Wonderful Woodware
Crafty Edger with the Scallop Shell edge.

A simple little happy card :)  Sure to put a smile on the face of the recipient.

On a side note about "Yellow"  just look at the difference in colour of my sons scrambled eggs
the other day!  The light was shop brought eggs and the BRIGHT YELLOW! are eggs from my
next door neighbours chickens.

Have a good day x

Friday, August 12

Hello

Its me again, not much been happening this end really.  A little bit of crafting, but with the kids on school holidays and me working there seems not to be any time.  Here are a few quick pics of quick cards and creations.

A cute bear set I got off a facebook second hand craft selling page :)

A bunting I made : Bugaboo Digital Image

A House Mouse stamp I got from the same Facebook board

Caiden went to a party and I made the Birthday Boy a pirate bunting for him room.
I was laughing about the fact the Christopher was such a long name!! Hard to fit on the door
to take a picture.  Lets hope Christopher has room in his bedroom.

Oh and this isnt something I made, but Mums friends friend made.  A lovely
Butterscotch Tart :)  Took me back to school days!

Today, Friday its my day off work.  Not sure what me and the boys are doing.  We'll probably
pop out somewhere later but no firm plans.

Enjoy your Friday!

Woodware Challenge "Look what I did with my File Folders"

Apologies for posting late.  This challenge was challenging to me, but I came up with a cute card
this has been made for a teacher, but change the main images and the small ones pugged up inside the folders
and it can be for anything.

I had many ideas but they didnt work with the stuff I had to hand.  I figured most would be
doing some sort of book type thing so went for the original idea I had.

Check out the link for Woodware above in my tabs.

eeeeewwwwwwwwwwmmmmmm

I was trying to recreate the sound made by a small plane but its really hard to spell!! LOL

Simple little card made for the Rocket and Fairydust shop as my cards have been selling quiet well there so more are needed.  Seeing that Wednesday is my late night working I had little time to get much else done card wise.

Off to watch Harry Potter today after work, then off to TGI's for tea :)

Work colleagues birthday

I made this for Paula in despatch.  She is not a cardmaker but she has pointed out several times in the shop that she likes the comical ones.  I have used this very old Penny Black design that we've just got into work and I have had for umpteen years so it was nice to dust it off.  I have added the Skull and Crossbuns bunting stamp to the washing like.

For my cheeky Monkey

What a shameful mummy I am! Realised the other day my own son
Caiden didnt have a bunting, so I went on course to remedy this and I made
this fun little bunting complete with cheeky monkies and in "army"colours as he loves
all things army.
