Butterfly Twist Circle Pop it ups

I made this card some time again for a work colleagues birthday but I forgot to share it for some reason so when I noticed it in my photos I thought it was too pretty to miss.

I made this using the Karen Burniston
Twist Circle Pop it Up die, this is from Crafts U Love
and decorated with Butterflies from Karens Burniston also.

I yesterday taught a class at Crafts U Love using this die set and
we animated a snowman for a lovely Christmas card.

Not the best photo but you get the idea :)

Create and Take - Trick or Treat

This was yesterdays Create and Take at work and I gave them a choice of the Halloween or Christmas Treat bags.

The topper was made using the Marianne Designs BAG TOPPER BOW
and decorated using some Taylored Expressions stamps.

I was a bit worried that it would be a bit unbalanced with more people
choosing Christmas but we had a fair amount of ladies that chose the Halloween one as well
so I was happy about that.

Of course I included the sweet Treat  for them all :)

Crazy 4 Challenges - C4C360

Hello!! And its the last Saturday for my themes for the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and I would firstly like
to thank Heidi for being my guest and playing along with some lovely cards.

This last theme is October 29 – C4C360 In a name.... using your initials make a card using dies/stamps that start with your letters.

And here is my card, I have used a CAT stamp who is also in COSTUME

It was lovely to make a card tonight for fun, I have been working on Create and Take, Bats and Class this week, its been full on. So tonight was literally just for the challenge for fun.

You might need some sunglasses for this one!!
But it is everything that makes me happy in one card.

The stamp is an old Penny Black Design and the
Frame he is stamped on is the Karen Burniston, Labels and Circles die set.

Coloured with Distress Ink Pads. Decorated with a Prima Flower that I have had
for a long long time but hoarded :)

Karen Burniston Designer Challenge Part 2 - Cards for boys

Hello, its the second of the months Designer Challenges and this challenge was picked by Summer and her choice was - "Boy oh Boy!" - think rough and tumble, boys will be boys, masculine or manly - no girls allowed! .

I admit this challenge sneaked up on me and I barely made it.  Then I suffered brain fog and just could not think of what to do.  Its been a busy weekend and its zapped my mojo!

However I managed this cute little "flat" card, proof that Karen Burnistons dies work just as well for flat creations as they do for the Pop it Ups! marvels we are used to creating.

I love the stencil feature on Cocoa to give him some cool shaded spots and I just used a sponge dauber and Distress Inks to add the extra colour.

This card measures 5 x 5 inches and I used some patterned paper with the
Western Edges and Outdoor Edges to create hills and mountains.
The barbed wire was also created with Western Edges on silver Mirri card/
The dark blue paper to create a dark nights sky and used
Cocoa the horse, I thought, would look perfect on this scene
and I used the Western Stamps to create a signpost with the
Smile, Pardner!  phrase.

So even when your mojo does a wander, like Cocoa wandering "around
them there hills" you can still make a simple card, but non the less a simple
card that will still bring a smile to a little boys face, I am sure either one of my boys
would still enjoy this card.  I might just save this card and next time one of them
is feeling a bit down, I will send them a "smile" card :)  and see if it works.

Crazy 4 Challenges C4C359

Hello its another week at the Crazy 4 challenges blog and this weeks theme is Bees and Bugs.  And here is my creation and this week I decided to decorate a wooden crate that I had and use it for my Crafty Tools.

Here you can see the Karen Burniston Flowers and leaves from
her Flower Pot Pop It ups die set and the Elizabeth Craft Designs Bee.

I covered the crate with some decorative paper that I have had for a few years now, hording it as I liked it so much, so in making something for myself it means I get to look at it more ;)

Welcoming Baby Billy

As you remember my Niece Leanne and her husband Tom were expecting their first baby, I went to her baby shower a while ago.  Baby William (Billy) came into the world 1 week and 1 day ago.  I have not met him yet as I am letting the visiting calm down a little for Leanne before I pop on over and meet him but his Great Grandparents took my card yesterday so I can share that with you.

I was really pleased how this turned out.  I used some new Special Order Sizzix dies and the Mini Alphabet Punch Board.

Karen Burniston Designer Challenge October - "ROYGBIV"

Hello I am here with the first of the October Challenges for Karen Burniston and
 this challenge is

"ROYGBIV" - It's the monochromatic challenge but YOU pick your color from any of the colors of the rainbow. Make a card featuring predominantly Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo or Violet.

I have chosen Orange, I love Orange,  to make bright happy cards.  You might need your glasses for this one :)

For my card I have used the ANITA FRAMES POP IT UPS
The Flower, Leaves and Butterfly from the FLOWER POT POP IT UPS
Flower Stencil

I used White Stencil Paste in the stencil with a palette knife.

And here you can see the inside of the card.

Check out all the links on the left of my blog page to see all the other
designers cards.  And remember Karen posts hers on Tuesday so
be sure to see her blog as I am sure she will post something totally awesome!

I hope you like my card today.  I really enjoyed making it.

Crazy 4 Challenges C4C357

I am hosting the challenges for this Month of October and my second challenge was

"Color wheel mix up... find your favorite 2 colors on the wheel and use the 2 colors on the opposite side of the wheel …. this will challenge you to maybe use colors you would usually shy away from."

My colours that I would choose are Red or Orange, so I went for green and blue as my colours being used for this challenge.

And here is my card.

I have used the Evergreen Pivot for the main card base
and decorated with Dutch the Fox and just for fun and to go with
the blue green mix I have cut him from some blue card.  These are both
wonderful dies from Karen Burniston.

I had fun decorating the white card with the Tim Holtz Spritzer
and some snowflake stamps.

I die cut the trees from green paper and after I ran them through
the machine again to emboss I used sanding block to rub down to
the white core to show the embossing detail.

Heidi is once again joining me as my guest.

Selected Dies on Limited Offer

https://www.craftsulove.co.uk/weekly-special-offers-12.html

Smile

This is a card that I have been wanting to make for a couple of weeks now but just have not had the time, and when I have had the time just not gone into the shed.  Its hard to go out when its getting cold and dark and just lately its been so late when I can actually craft I am too tired to do anything.

This die set is by Neat & Tangled and called Pixalated Faces and I think Pixalated Circle.  This was a special order from Crafts U Love and I thought this set perfect for the boys and their friends for many occasions.  This card is just sending someone a smile who has had a bit of rough time lately.  I plan to deliver this later today.  So watch out people of Merstham... it might be you!!

DUDE..... I love this die set, the faces set has so many parts that you can make
different emoji style faces.  I opted for the "COOL SHADES" dude and...

And the cheeky TONGUE OUT WINKY GUY!

Not entirely happy with my colour choices inside.  URGH.. Will have to do now.

I am sure the recipient wont mind.

Until next time

65 Today... sharing a card

I made this card some weeks (months) ago and I kept meaning to share but lack of time means that I didnt get round to it.  I was asked to make this for a friends Husband, 65 and loves his workshop where he builds things.  Amazing things BTW!

Luckily my Mum had some power tool paper and I had a birthday cake from the Cake Pop it ups! from Karen Burniston, crafted from wood paper, complete with silver screw head decoration some industrial size staples and a shiny silver 65 to finish!

It was a puzzle to decide what to make but I was very pleased on how it turned out.

Birthday Card

Just sharing a card today.  I made another twist card as I so enjoyed how the last one turned out.  I admit this one gave me a few problems but once I built the whole card up by adding a cover on the front it decided it to then twist freely. phew!

Here is the front, I kept the decoration very simple with a sentiment, a banner and hearts.

Here is the inside and I used the My Favourite Things Hedhehog set

This card was made for a work colleague Emily who was 17 at the weekend.

I hope you like this card today.

This card was made using the tutorial that Karen Burniston
showed on her blog HERE

Crazy 4 Challenges - C4C356

Hello
And today I am here with my Crazy 4 Challenges blog post.  Today is the 1st October and I am hosting October over on the blog and I get to choose the themes.  For this first one I have chosen "Forest fun... a forest scene or your favorite forest critters"

I love all the forest animals and have several stamps and dies (OK more than several) that depict Owls, Squirrels, Hedgehogs and Foxes.  Now Foxes have a special place in my heart as we have some that live just over our fence and we regularly have them frolicking or sleeping in the garden.

I decided to use the latest Tutorial from Karen Burniston where she has adapted the Spinning Circle card and made it into a Pop up panel card.  You can see her tutorial HERE

And here is my card

This is the WOW inside, this card really makes an impression and you
really can decorate it in any style.
I used a couple of Hero Arts Fox Stamps
The Karen Burniston Halloween Scene for the trees
The Leaves sprig from the Flower Pot Pop it ups
And Karens Occasions stamps for the wording.

I stamped the leaves around the edge of the panels with a stamp I have
had many many years.

I kept the front simple and echoed the foxes from the inside.
Gorgeous papers from Carta Bella

As well as choosing the themes this month I also got to choose a
Guest Designer and I asked Heidi who I work with to join me
and here is her blog

Here is the the Crazy 4 Challenges blog to check out all the other cards
and you can add your own cards to the Mr Linky widget.

Thanks for coming over to look.
