A little step by step - Petal Punch * PHOTO HEAVY *

There are some thing that you immediately fall in love with, there are some things that need a little inspiration and this punch was one of them.  There are quiet  few cute little ideas with these and I thought I would share a couple.  Here is a little step by step photo tutorial for a cute little box idea I saw on http://inspirestampin.blogspot.com/  this is an American Demostrator and she makes some wonderful projects!

Here is my little take on her idea (or the idea I saw first on her blog)

Punch out two petal card shapes in your chosen colour.  I have used Old Olive.

Now stick some sticky strip in the parts as shown.  It really is important you use
a strong tape or glue.  Sticky Strip is really good for this.

Now using a cropadile make 2 holes as shown.  Using the large hole for the top centre
and the smaller hole for one of the petals.

Take a piece of acetate and cut to 5" and 4 1/4"
Stamp with white Staz on
I have used one of the stamps from the new Clear MOUNT stamp sets called
confetti.

Score the acetate at 1", 2", 3", 4"

Add Sticky Strip to the narrow fold as shown

Stick tape along long side to make a square "tube"
fold the petal punch and remove sticky strip backing
stick to the outside of the tube and press inside with finger

Stick all 4 sides down, as my fingers are not long enough
I used a long pair of scissors to press the tape down

Take your time getting the bottom on right as otherwise it
will be wonky

Take a piece of ribbon, I have used the new In Colour Poppy Parade for this
fold in half and tie a knot at the bottom.  Starting ribbon was approx 5-6"

Thread ribbon through as shown

Fill with item of choice, here in a house with the boys and hubby sweets dont
stay around too long so these are all I could find.
Other Ideas : M & M's , Skittles, Smarties, Sherbert Pips, Bath Salts, Buttons and Ribbon... ect ect

Now I am making the decoration, I have stamped this cute little kitty from the "Every Little Bit" set
and coloured with the NEW Stampin' up! watercolour pencils.  I added the crown from "Tiny Tags"

The "4 You" is also from Tiny Tags, here you can see I have used both sizes of the Tag Punch
Threaded onto the Linen Thread and tied onto the top.

Voila!  your finished gift :)

I hope you have enjoyed this little photo tutorial.  Want more??

I am really hoping to be back with another couple really soon.

I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator so I can order any of the items used for you.  Just let me know.
