It's time for our May Karen Burniston Designer Challenge. This time around the theme for our challenge is BARNS, BARNS, BARNS - Time to show off the new Collins dies with a designer challenge in their honor. The only requirement is that you use the new Barn Pop Stand die. You do not have to use it with the enclosed Pop Stand (if, for instance, you prefer using the barn on a card front or on one of the other PIU dies) and you do not have to style it as a barn.
Elizabeth Craft Designs release a small collection for a show called Collins and aren't we lucky!! The dies are due in stock any time now and I am so excited to share this with you. Slightly different this time as I didn't have full access to the collection so therefore I got one already cut and pieced animal to use, so maybe (most probably) my cards might have been different had I had full reign of the dies, but that's not to say I haven't fallen in love totally with Virgil the Pig, Cheepers the Chicken and Brownie the Cow. I once I get the dies I will be able to create a whole herd of farm yard fun!
First up I have used Cheepers and the Pop Stand Barn die
to create this fun "Chicken Shack".
Long standing readers (if there are any) will recognise the Chicken Shack
from what used to be my small On-line Craft Store. Aww those were the days!
I have also used the NEW Branches with leaves peel off - Elizabeth Craft Designs
A very old rubber stamp of a piece of chicken wire was used too (Inky Antics)
The front of the card uses the NEW Karen Burniston Farm Greetings Stamp set.
And again a blast from my Chicken Shack Crafts Days my designed stamp of chicken feet were perfect!
I will be back with another card for the challenge, maybe later or tomorrow if I can manage to make a third card I will post the second later today :)
All dies should be hitting stores very soon and Crafts U Love in the UK should have
those in stock as well.
DON'T FORGET, CHECK THE LINKS TO THE LEFT for all the other amazing samples
by the team :)
