I loved the new penny black cats as soon as I saw them.  So comical.  I made this little card last night using one of the stamps from a clear set (in stock at crafts u love) and the new ring accordion from Karen Burniston. This die is one that will be released middle July.  This will be available from crafts u love too ☺

I've had the wonderful dies for some weeks now and its been killing me not to share!

As I am sure you are aware I am a big owl fan.  And so it seems is most of Karens design team.  So of course pester power won and Karen designed this VERY ADORABLE "Poppy"  owl die....  Now I will share with you the funny little story I posted to the Designer Challenge Team along with this card.

"Now there was some funny goings on in my shed last night. I left Poppy in here, locked the shed but some how Percival turned up and ended up staying the night. I said to them its no good, you'll have to make an honest owl out of her. Good job we had her crown and veil on standby encase of such shenanigans."

And thus  Poppy and Percy were duly married.

The Ring Accordion Album was requested by Els van de Burgt, the founder and owner of Elizabeth Craft Designs. She had an idea for an accordion album with a circle inside a circle that could be decorated as ornaments for Christmas. I came up with the Ring Accordion design, which features a scalloped frame edge(included with the set) and two sizes of ornament tops in addition to decorator circle dies. Once again, this die will coordinate perfectly with the Circle and Fancy Accordion Albums  but will not exactly duplicate the decorator dies so they can be mixed between the sets for more possiblities.

She can explain it oh so much better.

All these dies will be available mid July and will be carried

by Crafts U Love in the UK.

A froggy Birthday

I made this some weeks ago but forgot to blog it.  It was for one of Harveys closest and oldest friends Adam who as you can see what 11 the other month.  Adam and Harvey have been friends since nursery and its a sad year this year as they will be going to different secondary schools  :(  But they only live around the corner so I hope that they keep in touch.

Adam loves football and I am sure that the frog in pants would

have given him a smile :)

Happy Birthday Mum

It's my Mums birthday today and here is the card I made her using a Taylored Expressions die called "A ray of sunshine" cutting plate and a cute cat stamp from Paper Smooches.  Both from Crafts U Love

My Mum loves all things cute and cuddly and I knew this card would give her a smile.

Now I had a mental moment when I thought "eeeks what will I do I have no envelope" but then I was like DUH I have my We R Memory Keepers punch board and I made this envelope for the card.  Much nicer than a plain envelope.

Inspired by Karen Burniston's challenge video

I was inspired by Karen Burniston's recent video on the monthly challenge where she showed you how to make a triple pivot card.  

You can see her post and the video HERE

I choose the Katie Pivot (my fav) and made this cute little card for my Sister in Law's 50th Birthday.  Don't be scared they are sooooooo easy to make.

I used the Cute stamps from Purple Onion Designs

and the wording are dies from Cleary Besotted and were a birthday

gift from my friend Suzie Q.

Here is the inside and you can see the triple pivot in all its glory!

Fly - my second card

Well I didn't think I was going to manage it.  But I made this card tonight, another one for the Karen Burniston Fly theme.  Now this card went in the bin once, but I worked on it a little more and I was happy enough to share it.

All the stamps are from Stampendous from my "stamp stash"

The Flowers are prima, again years and years old.. I mean as old as my kids! LOL

The paper is new and by Bazzill from Crafts U Love and I used the Oval Accordion by Karen Burniston/Elizabeth Craft Designs also

Karen Burniston Monthly Challenge "Fly"

Another month has past and another designer challenge and I love to see what all the other designers have done and what their take on the theme is.  We will all be posting our projects over the next 2 days.

This month Karen Burniston wrote : The word is "FLY" - how will you interpret it? Use Pop it Ups for a project showing your vision. My post will be on Wednesday, May 21st.

So here is my post and my card.  I immediately thought of this Penny Black stamp called "Hedgehopper" and using the Karen Burniston/Elizabeth Craft Designs Garden Bench.

Right back to this months card.

1. Cut the Garden Bench pop up by placing the die onto the centre line of the folded blue card.

2. Stamp woodgrain stamp onto some brown card and again cut the bench, stick this over the blue one.

3. Stamp the "Hedgehopper" onto the blue card using black Versafine and I gave it a quick blast with my heat gun to dry the ink before I used my new Spectrum Noir Pencils for the very first time. Love them BTW.

4. I used the cloud/foliage die from the All season tree to create clouds with white hammer card. Stick in place with 3d pads.

5. Cut a piece of green paper and work out where the bench is going to be cut out.  Place the die on the green paper so that the lower half of the bench will be cut out on the paper.  Cut the bench parts away and stick the green paper onto the card.

6.  Take a piece of red card and using the Agatha Edges cut a piece to decorate the bottom.

7. Stamp wording onto a piece of white card using black ink and cut using one of the

Katie Pivot decorator dies.

8. Stamp one of the Hedgehogs from the Balloon Day stamp in black ink, dry and colour with the pencils.  Cut out and stick the hedgehog onto the back of the bench with acetate.

9. Make a folded outer card for the whole card to cover the hole created by the bench.
