Woodware Design Team - Summer Fun

As soon as I heard the theme I wanted to use this fun Changito stamp to make this little scene.  I have done it before and its always worked out well.

I have used quite a few things to make this card.  So here goes the list

Firstly I used Changito with guitar you can get this mounted or unmounted

For the scene I used this lovely stamp Tropiscape

White glossy cardstock

Woodware Paper Edger and Scallop Shell edger 

Two sizes of the jungle leaf punch, its actually called Monstera

White flowers, Daisy punch, Nail Heads in Silver, Scallop Circle Punch

ect ect ect   as you can see I used a lot of stuff!!

Oh and how can I forget the Brayer and inkpads too.

I really love this card.  Just came out how I wanted it to.  Oh and it took me ages to find

this little monkey.... why... well as I was looking for him with his grass skirt and then

I realised that I actually drew the skirt on last time!

Bunting orders

Its been a busy time in my bunting orders :)  Just finished 4 different ones.  Three very girlie ones for three little girls rooms.  And one for Lewis and it has to be my strangest request yet, for a boy who likes camper vans.  I got this cute little camper van digi image from squidgi digi

Off to a wedding tomorrow, my cousin is getting married.

A card for Ben

Ben is one of Harvey's friends and he is 8.  Harvey is going for a sleepover there tonight.  In training for his sleepover he slept downstairs last night!

I have used this adorable image from Digi Stamp Boutique.  The ticket image is from them too.  The paper is really old Bo Bunny.  The bunting is from Skull and Crossbuns and its hand carved!

We've had a few nice days off so far.  Kids are going to a kids club that my mum is helping at most of this week.  I am working today and tomorrow but took a day off yesterday with them.  Weather has been kind and dried up and warmed up a bit.

Crafts U Love Demo

I was demoing at Crafts U Love today demonstrating the Fiskars stamping wheels.  Here are some of the cards and creations I made.

Echo......

Bit empty here, sorry about that I have been so busy this week with jobs I cant yet share.  I private little project, bunting orders and prep for my class this Saturday at Crafts U Love.

This Saturday I am demoing Fiskar's Wheel stamps and of course throwing in some of the New Mimi Stamps. Come along, there are many demo's and classes too.  I have been relying heavily on the examples found on the internet, you know me I love cute designs and these wheel stamps are very much for backgrounds.  Thank goodness for the internet! and I thank the designers for their inspiration.

Went to my friend Tamsins wedding last Saturday, here is me and hubby all scrubbed up nicely.  We had a day without the kids! this DOES NOT HAPPEN and we really enjoyed it ;)

Also Harvey had his cub camp, had a fantastic time, very happy but shattered and wet, this is what greeted us when we collected him!

A touch of Pink Woodware Challenge

This weeks  challenge over at the Woodware Blog is a Touch of Pink and today I have gone all floral.

Materials I have used are :

Woodware Clear Magic JGS251 Gerbera
Woodware set Janes Script JGCL508
and lots of glitter glue.

I used a pink waterbased dye inkpad to stamp the two flowers on the the base card and used the waterbrush to make the outline run to give a soft colour inside.  I then stamped the flower onto a white piece of card with black ink and coloured with markers.  Next using the Janes Script stamp I placed a few of the stamps onto a acrylic block and randomly stamped the images out with a soft brown ink.  Finishing off by smothering with glitter glue and gems.

Chatter

Its been busy this past week, not sure what with but not with crafting.  My Son, Harvey is going on cub camp tonight for 2 nights.  He is 8 and its the first time has has spent time away from us.  Mummy must be brave!!

My bunting orders keep rolling in, I currently have 4 to make :)  I have one to show off but since my blog is linked to facebook I cant share just encase it posts as the recipients Mum is on FB and she does not know.  So it will have to wait for a couple of days.

Likewise a wedding card for a friend tomorrow has been made but I can't share as I of course do not want her to see it before.

I have however got something very rare to share which I do not think I have shared before?!  I made a simple memory page last week for work, we needed our pages updated and we have some fab stamps and papers in all to do with the circus I thought these pics of Harv would be great.

 And this little card hasnt been shown off yet either, so here he is :)  Party Owl.

Right better get ready for school runs and  I have lots to errands to run.

Woodware Anything but a card Challenge

The challenge this week over at the Woodware Blog is "Anything but a Card".  Today I have decided to decorate a Pencil Box with some lovely little birdies and flowers :)  I have decorated a few of these boxes for the boys teachers at school and they make lovely gifts.

I used the Woodware Empty Pencil box to decorate 2865I painted it with white acrylic paint, slightly watered down to make it thinner.  I didnt want to completely "white out" the box, simply cover the kraft with a covering of white. 

I then used a reverse side of the Lost In Paradise 8 x8 pads the light yellow paper with the white grid on it.  Stamped with black ink and coloured with markers, stamping the solid flowers onto the paper in 2 shade of orange.  I distressed the edge with ink in a light brown colour and stuck this onto the top of the box. I went onto further decorated the inside top and bottom of the box with the same stamps.  The birds were stamped onto white card and coloured with markers and stuck onto the box.

To hide the popper at the front I cut a small Plum Punch in orange paper and then stamped a flower onto white card and cut with a small circle punch.  Additionally I sponged glitter glue around the edge of the lid.

I need to restock on these boxes as I think they might be the teachers gifts again!

A little birdie told me...

It was my work colleague, Tracy's birthday Monday so I made her this card using a bunch of different bits and bobs.  These stamps are just 99p each! .  The punch is a Martha Stewart  called Woodland Branch. And a few little stamps from a Woodware set (the branch and words) called Birdsong.

Woodware Design Team Sketch time

This is the second sketch for the Woodware DT and this time I have gone all "boyish" with this fun robot card.

As a mummy to 2 boys I know how hard boy cards can be.  I love this Robot Set, all the pieces are separate and you can make so many combinations of "bots" and their non furry bot pets. Also to give this a boyish/robotish/industrial feel I added some fabulous SCREW BRADS and NAILHEADS.  One the green paper I used another Robot set and you can see them all here.

I made this card again for the shop using one of my un-inked Penny Black Mimi stamps, Imaginesce Cloud stamp and the Fiskars Cloud punch to make this cute little scene.

Show me Sunday a little late

Well it is still Sunday!  This week I want you to show me your crafting areas, be it a room, a shed like me, a table in the front room, a space in the hallway.

I have made a few cards today, some I cant show as they are birthday cards.  A couple are really simple cards for the shop I am selling cards at.  Pleased to say my cards are selling quiet well :)   very simple to keep the costs low in making and the price low in selling them.  They do look nicer in "real life" I must say.

Chick, Chick, Chick, Chick Chicken!

Lay a little egg for me :)

My neighbour is rescuing 3 chickens from their life in hell in a battery farm.  She gets them today so I made this little welcome for them.  She has a adorable chicken coup and all the gear.  They will be in a very sorry state when they get here.  No feathers (or certainly lacking)  never seen daylight and not being able to walk :(

It will take some time but I will look forward to the time they start getting better and living a happy life.

Had a fantastic holiday.  Utterly exhausted after it!  Anyone done Butlins with 2 kids will understand.
Have a stinking cold right now so feeling very rough but lots of cards to make for lots of friends who are celebrating their birthdays this week. Also the shop I have been selling my cards at has sold quiet a few of mine so that's great news, few little pennies to spend.
