Off to the park

Off to the park this morning with the boys and Harveys friend from school Adam... I will post about it later. I feel I really need this trip out as my stress levels are high for some reason, probably tiredness as caiden is really playing up at nights.

I have two scrummy bellas to post later.

Have fun!

I am in love and it hurts

Why does it hurt? Well I am in love with a paper stack, I am only about 10 trillion years out of the loop with paper stacks, I never really got them, but since my SS has sent me two I love them. Firstly she sent me the beautiful glittery Pocketful of posies stack, then she sent me the earthtone card stack, then last week I went to a local store for matt board, I didnt have any cash so I had to card it and therefore I had to spend a little more money so I picked up the Retro paper stack. Its patterns and colours are so beautiful I dont want to cut into it, I want to run out and buy another so I can use one and cut one. Its the cutting that hurts! I have used one piece today. And I have just coloured in some huggybellas to match another piece, I am just about having palpatations at thinking about using another sheet!

I have some exciting news for me :) Kitty from First Class Crafts has asked me to join her design team and I have said YES! I am not sure if she was expecting a yes or not, but my motto of "will work for stamps" has always run strong for me! First Class Crafts is going through a major overhaul and once its all up and ready I will tell you more. Kitty is also going to sort me out with a "Design Team badge" LOL How sad I am? I am excited about wearing it on my blog. Ohhh I feel all grown up and special :) Kitty promises for lots of lovely stamps for her store and I hope that means I can make lots of lovely cards for her.

I have made some cute cards this week, along with my jacobs ladder and I promise I will post the pictures Saturday evening, got to let the ladies on the classes see them first. I hope to have my huggy bellas done in a card and up for you to see later tonight... Hmm wonder how hubby will feel about that. Mind you I got one more card to make for my class, so it will just mean I will stay up there a little longer, he wont know will he?

Well I better make the most of the boys BOTH napping. ANd see if I can cut into this second sheet of retro stack!

Cards and Jacobs Ladder

Here are a few more cards, I do not think I have shared these already?

Here is a fab stamp from Penny Black, I teamed this with some doodlebug papers and some red spotted ribbon. For a bright and fun card. This along with Sunshine Hedgehog is one of my favourite Penny Black designs of all time :)

Here is another Penny Black stamp using the fab new girl designs.

and here is another one

I have two classes Saturday and one of the things we are making is a jacobs ladder. I made one last night and it worked!! Its one of those things, like the waterfall card that you make and you wonder will it all be worth it at the end, and YES it is. Its fab fun, relatively easy to make, just following some steps and fun to decorate with photos, stamped images or quotes. I cant share photos right now as it wouldnt be fair for people booked on the class, but I will take photos and post once the class is done. I just wanted to say, if anyone is pondering making one, I say GO FOR IT, they are great fun to look at when you have made them and really not too hard. You will be glad you did.

I have to prep later for my other class, I so want to play with my bella images yesterday but I doubt I can sneak that it, I have a feeling I will be upstairs for a while as it it.

Happy Happy Mail Day!

WOW I had two lovely pieces of happy mail today instead of bills and boring junk.

Firstly I got a fab card and images from A'lisa from Florida. We swapped Stamping Bella images and she sent me some fab giddyupabella and huggybella and a beautiful card. I feel bad now that I didnt manage a card for her, but I hope she likes the ribbons I sent her.

Secondly a brill surprise from Samm, Samm won my blog candy and she sent me a great card and a fantastic Magnolia stamp. Those who have watched my blog will know I love these stamps but havent yet got any, well I have now. Thanks Samm!! Also, I mentioned to her how fun it was and should we just keep on Raking with cards and small gifts and we decided yes, it would be fun to get cheery mail once in a while. So together with Kim we have started the never ending RAK or RAK Tag :0) Thanks ladies for agreeing to join in the fun!! I cant wait to get started....

WHoops, here is the picture of Samms stuff.

Just had to show off! new stash alert.

My new stash from last week. The Bind - it - all you all know the story about that. The cropadile, well I got underpaid the other week at a demo so I asked them to pop a cropadile by for me. The ribbon, Hmm well, that was just a collapse of willpower and the cuttlebug dies, hmmm they jumped on me and begged me to take them home, afterall they are David Walker designs and you know I am a fan of his (or as hubby calls me a walker stalker) LOL I cant call myself a fan if I dont own all his dies can I?

The demo was good, it was very quiet in the store, something to do with the fact the weekend was beautiful and we have had so much lousy weather lately. I am hoping the samples I made and the sample board will continue to sell for them. Talking of samples, here are a few...

All were David Walker designs. I love these little critters!
I love the fact that you can cut in white and add detailing or you can cut in a coloured card and the cuttlebug adds the face detail and you really dont need to do anything with them. I do love to add the detail so thats what I did.
The cuttlebug embossed the purple velvet paper (right) beautifully. Oh and the cuttlebugs from Craftsulove come with a set of 4 small embossing folders and a cutter to compliment, also a fab booklet with lots of samples and tips. You do not get these from all places that sell the cuttlebug so be sure to check this out and if you do order please tell them Caz encouraged you to go to them :) ta muchly

Mondays Must not miss it

I will start a new thing for Mondays, it something that I have seen that has inspired me in one way or another and todays is Regina Easters fun pig card. This card was made using the "my community" cartridge, one I hadnt given a second glance to, but now... Hmmm wonder what else can be made with this. If you look at the cartridge handbook at this pig it doesnt inspire, but what Regina has done with it surely does.

I love Reginas cards, she is a very very talented lady. Check out her blog in my fav blog links, hers is called Hand to Paper.

We're all cream crackered!

We had a fun time. But very wearing. Firstly there was the trains and tubes to get there. Harvey loved it, if you ask him which he preffered I think he would say the tubes as they went much faster. He also enjoyed on the way home the fact that there was a train that was running slowly beside us and the train driver waved at him. We had a fews changes which is fun with buggy, baby and 4 year old in tow, thats not to forget our picnic bag as well. But we made it through unscathed. It was a fair walk from the tube to the zoo, didnt help the fact that we walked halfway down regents park before we thought we might have gone wrong, so had to walk all the way back and then found the zoo was 240 yards down the road from our wrong turn. By this time Caiden had fallen asleep in the buggy, which was good as he was getting grizzly on the tubes and trains.

We finally get to the zoo after 1 1/2 hours travelling and walking. We had a picnic almost as soon as we got there but the boys werent really wanting to eat as it was too much to take in. I had put a 2 litre bottle of squash in the freezer last night and that was fab as it was just melting and slushy so we had a orange slush puppy! Off to walk around the zoo and we saw lots of great animals. I will pop a few pictures on here.

The first things we saw were the gibbons, they were amazing, flying around the bars and ropes like spiderman! I am sure they were showing off for us, I just couldnt believe the speed of them.

My favourite had to be the gorillas. There was a smaller one inside and you will see the pictures of her stretched out flat on her back. Then there was a larger male outside. Just sitting there looking, at us looking at him. I wonder what goes in behind those eyes. I was actually excited and sad to see this amazing creature with all us peering at him, he should be king of the jungle, with a troup of others looking up to him. I guess this is how he can survive as a species. After about 3 hours walking about we were all pritty tired, Caiden fell asleep again, we went through the butterfly garden and a beautiful bright butterfly landed on Harveys top, of course I couldnt get the camera out quick enough to catch it! Then Darren and Harvey went on the carosel, I wasnt about to climb up onto one of those horses! And then we looked at the map and decided we would pop up to see the giraffes and zebras and then head off home as we had an 1/2 hour walk to the station and then various changes to get back. We got home at 5:30pm so we had been out for 8 hours.

Here are some other pictures from the day.

All in all it was a good day. Not something we could afford to do often. I think we ought to try and cram in a few more trips to London whilst travel is still free for Harvey. Harvey woke this morning and dispite his tummy ache (hmmm too much of that lolly pop I think) he said he had a great day and I think he liked the train the best!! LOL

We're going to the zoo zoo zoo

you can come too too too!

I am so excited, we have decided to go to London Zoo today. I havent been for probably over 20 years. Harvey is excited and Caiden, well he doesnt understand but I know he will love the animals as he does love them. When I come back later I will tell you all about it. Just getting everything ready, we are taking a packed lunch and we are going by train. We did ponder on driving but its finicially the same and Harvey hasnt been on a train before so it will be one big adventure! See ya later.

Bad Caz, missed a day!

I missed ya yesterday! Did you miss me?

I am sharing a board I decorated for my Demo Saturday. I am at craftsulove on Saturday and will be demoing stamps and the cuttlebug. Hmmm just about two of my favourite things! So I made this board, and to give you some idea on size the circles are cut out of a 3" circle punch and then embossed, swiped with ink or coloured and cut in half for the board. I thought this could be a pritty way in decorating the edges of the board. There isnt any stamping on here but I asked the store if they wanted me to prep a board for the store to keep to help promote the cuttlebug which is new for them. Or to make some cards. I figured I could make cards when I am there anyway so they will still get cards made. Just depends on what the customers want to see.

Here is one that looks a little closer... and also a little brighter.

I tried to show lots of things, including the beautiful embossing. The cute cutters and cutting the felt and thin chipboard.

In my head it was a little different in that I was thinking there would be more "stuff" around the inside edge but in reality I was restricted by the number of die sets I had, I did the dog, cat, frog and flowers and thats about all I have really.

I am still quiet pleased with it though. It will show people a little on what can be done with this great machine. Which BTW if you are in the UK and still sitting on the fence, why? Go get one now from CraftsULove they have the biggest ranges of dies and embossing folders I have seen in a store! Tell them Caz sent ya.

OK Caz was a bad girl in more than one way. Firstly neglecting my blog duties and not posting yesterday and secondly getting a parcel delivered yesterday. We have a very acute cash flow problem, more of a drought! and I got a bind it all and 2 boxes of coils delivered yesterday. Darren spared my life and I just got a "what now" glare when I said to Darren I had a "confession" to make... in my defence I ordered this thing MONTHS ago but it had only just arrived and... well and nothing really. I ordered it and it was delivered and I paid for it. Just means we'll be on beans on toast for the rest of the month! I read and laugh about everyones exploits to "hide" and "smuggle" their stash in their house's past there other halves. I even heard last week at The Glitter Pot "Oh, its OK, I have one those bag for lifes in the car" LOL Anyway, I have never been one for that... even if I wanted to be I knew Harvey would grass on me. When I was talking to Darren on the phone yesterday about this and that Harvey was in the background saying "tell Daddy about your new machine" and he said to me, "your gonna be in trouble when Daddy finds out" Ha ha I think he heard me muttering that when I was opening the parcel. Kids eh?
