Fun Glitter Pot Style

Here is a layout I made today. Photo was taken last Saturday at The Glitter Pot where I was teaching a class. All the people that came (apart from Tamsin) are part of a cardmaking forum I belong to, so I was more nervous than usual.
I used the fab font I go today from www.the-lilypad.com and DebF swizzel Sticks and also some papers and stitching from Kirsty Wiseman

If you like digi scrapping check out the link

I have added a link to a blog Digi Scrapping Queen - she does amazing layouts and also designs and sells stuff in her store. I LOVE her style, the way she adds depth to her pieces to really make them look 3d. I got today her fantastic stitched alphabet and I can not wait to use it. If you are on AOL you might have problems loading her store (as I did) so copy and paste the link into internet explorer and it works fine :) We were chatting back and forth a few times today, shes very friendly and helpful.

I wanted to ask you what you thought

As you know I am "into" digi scrapping and I wondered what you thought about it being on this blog? Would you rather me open a new blog for this or are you OK with seeing this also? Please post your comments and thoughts below. I dont want to put other people off with my non stamping/cricuting posts, equally I know we all have like a zillion blogs we check out and I didnt want to add another one to your lists if you are happy to just view both or skip over what doesnt interest you?

Today was one of those "if only" days

You know sometimes you dont know what to do, you have two plans in your head and you go with one. Well today I had that, either go to parents for lunch, or stay in for lunch. I was cooking a casserole, so I decided to stay in and get that done. Thats when "it" happened. You cna see the story below in todays first digi layouts. Of course this is something that I didnt want to have to scrap, not so soon really, of course its inevitable that it would happen one day, somehow, but today was the day. And it was an "if only" moment as I thought if only I had gone to my parents for lunch it wouldnt have happened. I suppose you cant live your life in this mode, things happen, as forrest gump said S**t happens. The end of the day who knows what might have happened had we gone to my parents... Hmmmm Anyway the little loves are both fine, Caiden is showing off his big sticky plaster, Harvey is fine and had learnt a lesson in swing safety. I'll have a guilty story for the mums at school tomorrow and Caiden will be lapping the attention up. It will be a strange page to show them when their older. I'm just waiting for the time the tables are turned and the page is all about how Harveys little brother got his own back!

Here is my second page, its a much happier one!

I've started it and...

I have no clue how long it might take..... Whilst on the class Saturday we were chatting about how many stamps we own and to be honest I have no clue. So I started yesterday to put my stamp drawers in order and count them at the same time. I have done one tower of drawers, I have three to go, the SU sets, my desk shelves and some others than arent where they are supposed to be. Alphabet sets will be counted as ONE stamp. Clear sets again will be counted as one. Stampin up sets will be counted each stamp. I would guess over 2000 but I dont know. I do have to sell stamps in order to get funds for new ones now as we just havent got the spare cash and as I am not working as such I cant just spend all of Darrens on me!! I suspect that what was once a large collection isnt so large any more, its sad but its life. Also I have so many stamps, many of them are uninked so I have to be realistic on what I buy now.

When chatting to Darren last night about what I had been doing when I kept disappearing upstairs I mentioned 2000, he rolled his eyes and then I could see him kinda doing a mental sum in his head (hmm 2000 x average of £7 a stamp) YEAH ok Darren, I know its a lot of money and I could have got a very nice car for that. Thats just the stamps... Tee Hee

Digi Scrapping

I've been thinking about digiscrapping. For a number of reasons. 1/ Its easier for me to work on the PC to make layouts with the boys about 2/ I enjoy working with the PC and messing about with graphics 3/ there are so many cool (and many of them free) downloads.

So here is my first try. I used the Kirsty Wiseman (hope I got that right) Free download pack and a trial version of SCRAPBOOK MAX. Its soooooo easy to use. Looks quiet cute eh?

And here is my second and third attempt at it. I think I'll be buying this programme :)

Thanks for looking and if you have any fab links for FREE digiscrapping please let me know :)

Pinch Punch first day of the month

Its July, I cant believe it. Perhaps we'll have a little more sun than rain this month. They said on the news today it has been the wettist June since the 1940's and they said once they got all the information in it would probably be a record breaker so would be the wettest since the records begain. My heart goes out to all the people effected by the terrible flooding. I can not imagine how they feel with water half way up their walls inside!

I had a wonderful day yesterday I met up with 5 people from a craft forum I belong to. I taught two classes and I had to admit I was a little nervous, well, even more nervous than normal. But I need not have been, they were all great fun and we did do lots of giggling. Once I get a photo from them I will ask if I can share on my blog. And give a roll call.

I havent shared much lately apart from a load of waffle, so here are a few piccys. Cards, coaster book and one of linny who is getting so brave!

Stampendous Changito Monkeys! Love these little guys and we had so much fun with these yesterday. As you can see I "finished" the monkey trail with some prima flowers and a large flower brad. (thanks SS for these). If you are wanting these monkeys www.theglitterpot.co.uk have them all in stock. I believe they still have them all despite lots of the ladies from the class buying a couple each.
First class for the morning was billed as "Penny Black Girls" and it didnt elaborate on a project so I decided to at last use my coasters that Sue (scrapspirit) from the cricut very kindly sent me. We had great fun making these little books. Veyr fun and girlie.

This is a fab design from Paper Nation. They have some great stamps for men, decoupage and background papers to match as well. Here I have also used my cutterpede and my newly named "pollacs" scissors..... Any guesses about the name for these?? LOL
Last but not least is a picture of Linny, my little guinea pig. Tuck had run inside when the I got the camera but they are at last getting a little braver and coming out from their "bedroom" and you can catch them outside. Can anyone help with a question re guinea pigs. Do they usually do their "business" in their bed area? My rabbit used to go downstairs, never in his bedroom, but these little guys just do it where ever, is this usual for guinea pigs? As you can see Linny was about to tuck and no I dont mean his brother!! LOL about to tuck into a lovely greens leaf (lovely if your a gp, not a 4 year old boy named Harvey - come to think of it or your a 36 year old women either!) They love it and eat it like they have never eaten in their little lives. :)

Caiden on the move

Aren't babies so cute when they start walking.

Click here http://good-times.webshots.com/video/3070882070034097256CodkCW for a link to my baby boy Caiden walking. He feels so proud of himself he laughs whilst walking.

Please excuse lack of cards right now. I have been prepping for class and I cant share until the class has taken place.

Will post the pictures as soon as I can :)

What do ya think of my new colours?

I was bored with my pink and spotty and wanted something sunny and fun, its not too different but for the colours and small pictures. I need to change the other smaller titles amongst my blog but for now they will just have to clash a bit!!

If anyone has a blog and wanted a pritty basic header like mine made for them I am open for requests if you send me a crafty donation of pritties like ribbons or flowers :) and tell me the colours you like, the title and anything else you think might help me with the design.

Blog Candy taster - Winner Drawn

OK the winner is Doverdi who posted answer number 10 on my blog. I decided it was to hard for me to physically choose one as I agreed with most/if not all of the comments left. So I used a random number generator to choose a post number between 1 and 23 and it picked 10.

So please can Doverdi (I hope spelt that right) contact me on stampingcaz@aol.com with your postal address so I can get these pritty little goodies to ya!

Thanks for taking part, I think this will become a regular thing on my blog!
